The only thing I can think of was that the thread, starting with your post, was split off from another thread by a moderator. 

If a thread ventures off topic to another issue, then a moderator may choose to split it off to a separate thread.

I don't know what the case was here though.

That's a mystery.  If a mod splits a thread, and probably if you do any one of several other things to a thread, it can change who it appears started it.  Sometimes my actions have made it look as if I started a thread -- when I catch that, I edit/add an explanation to the apparent first post.

I am the culprit.

The person who  started the thread had a link in her signature that was not allowed. I asked her to remove it, but she either ignored my request or has not returned to GCM. Mods are unable to remove links from sigs, so I split the threads she had posted in and deleted her posts.

Sorry for the confusion, HR.

But it's good things that mod.s are on the job...
