Many cessationists argue that Ephesians 2:20 states that the foundational gifts of the apostles and prophets have ceased what are your thoughts on this? Do we relegate the Office of the Prophet and Apostles as ending with the Old Testament? 1 Corinthians 13:8-12 is proof that prophecy would continue in all the church until the end of the age.

1Co 13:8  Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away;

You think that is proof that prophecy would continue in all the church until the end of the age?  Interesting interpretation.

That Scripture has been used by some allegedly to prove that the gifts of the Holy Spirit ceased. In fact, those verses prove exactly the opposite!  They are  the New Testament's strongest references to the continuing validation of the spiritual gifts. And for the record love is a fruit not a gift.

There were and are many many spritual gifts.  Most were not gifts of working miracles.

Jesus was a prophet and miracles did he not work? His gifts were both spiritual and miracle. Is that to say today that these same sort of miracles cannot happen? This discussion is just a small part of the overall framework of the Prophetic Ministry Jesus said believe in his prophets and you shall prosper.
