I am a huge fan of video games, but I ran across a new game that is coming out titled Dante's Inferno.  It is about a Christian Crusader who travels through the nine circles of Hell to save his loved ones soul from Lucifer.  I can not get a straight answer online, so I just figured I should post it.  Is this game a Christian based game, or is the developers mocking Christians with this game about Hell?  Thanks to all who respond.

hi
l dont think that is done in that spirit neccesarily, but Satan is behind it by planting to young people the idea that humans alone can make it ! It is a distraction from the truth and a potential distrUction ! To make us believe we do not need God like he once did. And fallen. And his days are numbered !!
I kow most of these games are appealing to young people, as they are soft, inexperienced with heroic tendencies to..."save the world"  ! I dont know but has anybody ever tried to make a game out of Narnia ?

They have, but it was an RTS, meaning it gives you the option to play the evil forces and destroy to good ones, hence the reason I never bought it.
I'm sick of games where they give you control over a protagonist that is either straight out evil, or "complex." i.e. Devil May Cry, God of War, and especially Grand Theft Auto. Devil May Cry was FUN to play, but you're an evil character fighting against evil, which DOES happen between demons, but why expound upon that? God of War, you play a battle/blood lusting protagonist who only has revenge and anger to run off of. And GTA is obvious. Self-gain is everything.

This new game, I would have to agree with the chap who spoke right before me. "You don't need God. Just battle it yourself, and you can do anything you set your mind to." Well said.

No, you can't "destroy the good ones".
You can simply chose to play in a way that makes "Dante" more and more of a bad person WHILE killing the bad ones.
For example: Instead of "saving" the soul of a "heretic" you can punish it.
Also, I don't see how Dante is "not relying on god".
One of the weapons in the game is a holy cross which can purify souls and stun demons.
Also, Dante SEWS a cross onto his body!
