Ok...so here is a problem:

My brother has two girls, one 17 and on 15.  In the last two years, they have decided not to visit their father.  The first when she turned 15 and the second this year.  He is supposed to have them Friday thru Sunday.  But they bluntly refuse to visit him.

Why?  Since they are teenagers, they are more concerned with their friends than family.  The problem is that their father wants to them to come to his home on Friday at 6pm and stay until Sunday afternoon.  No friends, no going out with friends, no movies with friends, etc.  Stay with him...period.  And they just can't fathom this and just refuse to see him.  Example:

After much of me getting blamed for all this (more on that later) I suggested to the younger to spend the ENTIRE weekend with her father:  no friends, no mall, no running around with the boyfriend (I rarely see the oldest one) etc.  Just stay at her father's house with his family (her 2 step brothers and their mother...his wife).  Finally she said she would.  But then he tells her that he has already booked a location for hunting and she can't come; after all, she hasn't wanted to visit him all year and he did not know beforehand that she wanted to come.  Ok, so then he calls today and said he cancelled it because of the weather.  She says that she will come but she has to leave tomorrow morning to go here, see that friend, go to mall, etc., everything she can think of except stay with her father.  She calls her mother (my brother's 2nd wife) and she told her she need to go (which is odd by itself...that's another post).  She then proceeds to concoct another reason she can't go:  "their home is too dirty...
