hey guys, here's the situation, im 22yrs old, and i REALLY like my bestfriend. we talk all the time and we can basically say anything to each other. but im the type of person who usually takes precaution b4 doing anything, so i asked her one day, how would she react if a close friend or a stranger would to ask her out. she said that she'd be very nervous and get frightened and probably wnt talk 2 that person anymore. so i took that into consideration and said to myself i'll wait till the time is right to tell her. then, a couple months later, my really cool male friend asked her out and expressed himself to her, to the point where he really loved her as more than just friends. weeks later i find out that she loves him 2, at this point i feel crushed, and i feel like i missed my chance but as of right now she's still in school, so she don't plan on dating until next year. i need advice, alot of people said to just pray about it and hopefully god won't let me down and i agree to that, but it doesn't feel like its enough. i really like her 2 the point i love her too, but im just afraid of getting hurt at the end and i dont know if i should tell her or not?

HELP ME PLEASE!!!
THANKS

There are apropriate cliches.  Faint heart never won fair lady, for one.
Take a chance, speake up, you have everything to gain and nothing to lose.
If she turns you down you never had anything anyway.
My best advice ; find another one.  I think you have already blown  it with this one
But what do I know.  Best really is pray and let the HOLY SPIRIT LEAD YOU IN ALL THINGS.    ::smile::

You may not like this answer but...get over her as quick as you can. She doesn't love you and pining over a ghost of someone isn't what you want keep doing. She gave you a hint by telling you she wouldn't talk to the person anymore if they shared their feelings for her. It's best to guard your heart and mind and let the peace of God which surpasses all understand be your umpire (call the shots). No you don't get it now, but trusting God requires unanswered questions for the time being. Walk in love(agape not amorous..) and let her be.

God has someone for you who actually wants you back. Go figure.

I would say that she knew what you were hinting at when you asked that question...and because she has not been put off by the other friend who DID tell her about his feelings, then she obviously doesn't have the same feelings towards you. Don't be down about it, though; just be the kind of man God has called you to be; to love others and be humble. You'll meet a lady one day, I'm sure.

And if you felt you needed to test her, like that, this in my case would mean I was not sure of my relationship with a lady; so in my cases . . . notice cases ::smile:: . . . I have learned to not steer or push even for feedback, but to pray and settle into peace with God satisfying me and then move it along, but always stay available to be a good friend for any woman even though I was not sure about how I stand with her. God wants us to love every person, not only be interested in ones who we feel can give us what we want (Matthew 5:46).

Also, you might not know her really well, considering you felt you needed to do a test probe with her. And how she really will be for your friend may not be much, for all you know. Being in love doesn't guarantee you belong together. I have been the most beautifully fulfilled and more and more feeling I belong, with the church I am with. This has involved getting to know and share with a variety of people, being committed to loving every one, including ones who may not be so obviously good for me.

So, I'd ask how are you doing for sharing with different Christian people, including senior mature couples and widows, and not just ones your own age and "speed"? I think we need to get in love that has us getting fulfilled in loving all different people, and benefitting from ones who are much more experienced and mature than we are with God. So, this means not putting all your emotional eggs in one basket ::smile::
