GAG!  I haven't had any issues with staring boy all week (yay!) and haven't had the chance to tell him to knock it off.  Well, this seemed a little too TMI but I am so grossed out all bets are off.

We have Bible study here on Monday nights (we just got done), every dang Monday staring boy goes in my bathroom (it's unfortunately the one in the hall for guests as well) and drops a bomb. Every.  Dang.  Monday.

Tonight, he dropped TWO.  Two outrageously stinky, disgusting, waft through the entire living room bombs.  The second on was right in the middle of the study for petes sake.  You just go ahead and try discussing Galations 6 with the equivalent of low tide on cabbage roiling through the place.

GAH!  I know, I know, people have bodily functions.  I love 10 yr old humor, I love fart jokes, I ask people I barely know to pull my finger but this is uncalled for.  This is WRONG, sick and wrong!

Long suffering, long suffering, temperance, temperance, repeat.......

Air freshener.

Get a can and hose him when he does it.  ::clappingoverhead::

Your guests will appreciate it.

fassopony

Can you suggest a brand or certain scent?  I want to avoid the whole "pine scented poo" issue.

JohnDB

I haven't the foggiest clue. You do NOT want to know how we get a guy to stop farting at a construction site.

fassopony

Oh YES I DO!  I need some good tales anyway for when I go to visit my hometown next month.  One of my best buds works at the shipyard and always has the best work stories.  This will add to my ammo.  ::clappingoverhead::

LOL!... rofl rofl

That is sooo funny!...but I feel for you, I really do  ::smile::

How about inviting him for tea (before bible study begins) and give him lots of non-cabbage like food ...or alternatively, you could equip the bathroom with an Automatic Air Freshener Dispenser and set it for every ten minutes on Monday nights...

I hope you find a solution to your dilemma... ::smile::

Blessings!!!

I work Monday nights now LOL!!!   rofl

It appears he is playing his own version of a "pull my finger" joke.

lol, I feel your pain. Funny he is so regular. Maybe your study relaxes him...

Grats !

This does bring up a real issue... how do you deal tactfully and caringly with people who seem to have no social awareness? obviously there are folk with learning disabilities and mental impairments that cause them to act out of step with 'the norm' ..like the special needs kids my son was teaching sports to, one of them kicked the football miles away and refused to fetch it time and time again, he was not simply bad behaved he had recognisable mental development problems... but what about people who seem to have no such condition but have a huge blind spot in social awareness. Do you talk to them straight or just hope they quit the odd behaviour?

comfy

People have told me and I did not get it,

then they just stayed away from me.

Then I started to think about why,

and after a while I started to get things.

I would think he is capable of understanding from his own experience,
that the stink is being smelled by people, and he can go outside or something.
If he still does not be considerate,
then the church leadership can deal with him
about not stalking and stinking.

I needed to realize that when people criticized me, they were not rejecting me but were planning on having me around and so they cared how it would be to have me involved with them. So, I needed to be considerate of what they felt,
if I was going to be with them.

Now, of course, there are things we should not compromise about; but my talking in people's faces in a one-way talk show for who knows how long was not scriptural, not being "swift to hear, slow to speak" (in James 1:19). Plus, it was not self-controlled in the Holy Spirit, and it was being dominating instead of humble and sensitively "submitting to one another in the fear of God." (Ephesians 5:21)

And being unclean and messy is not being considerate.

And stalking people and pushing people for what I want is being dominating, when it says,

"nor as being lords over those entrusted to you,
but being examples to the flock." (1 Peter 5:3)

So, it is scriptural for me not to try to push and force myself over others, but respect their choice and how they feel. This is included in loving people.

My vote is candles. You can put out several and the fragrance won't be as intense PLUS the fire burns the gas up so that it doesn't smell.

Or you could buy him some probiotics. In time that would get rid of the sticky BMs.

Wednesday

This is a funny thread, and glad you worked it out.

Thought I'd share a bit of info that may help some in the future.  Being a vegetarian, I eat a lot of beans and cabbage and I'll leave the rest out, but I found something that works better than beno for gas.  "Activated Charcoal" pills! I got a bottle at the local health food store and wow do they work!  One pill will do it.  The only thing you have to be careful for is to not take any medications with it.  Activated Charcoal will absorb anything (yes, including gas) in your stomach.  It will also absorb medicine so you need to wait and take it 2-3 hours after or before you take any prescriptions.

Hope it helps!

::smile::

fassopony

Huh.  I just got done eating a huge bowl of brussels sprouts, pass the charcoal LOL!!! ::noworries::

My Grandma use to get what she called the "walking farts", it did seem like she moved a bit faster than the rest of us!
