What's with the disclaimer?

It's not a disclaimer. It's to help search engine ranking for terms like Restoration Movement, churches of Christ, Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. And I wanted to make sure that other Christians knew they were welcome here.

Think of all the LDS/Mormons who will be deposited here by a google search; they, too, claim the moniker "Restoration".  I once made neutral comments about the LDS and had a conversion attempt by e-mail by an LDS sister; how weird.

Yes, Wiley, I know about ole'  Sidney:  His congo in Hiram was a hop-skip-and-jump away from my DoC congo where I served in NE Ohio, until just recently.  It seems that Campbell, pere, spent the winter in our county and area going house-to-house to the brethren (sistren?) and warning them away from Rigdon aft/ the split.  

I have talked to members of the Church of Jesus Christ (Monongahelia, (sp?), Pa) re: Rigdon, a Mormon splinter group (didn't go west w/ Young) and later led by Rigdon:  Their knowledge of Rigdon's Campbellite past--and my suggestion that Smith got his Restorationist vocabulary from Campbellite pulses--draws a total blank.  Same w/ LDS folks, too; but, then:  When one is the "one true church", what valuable things do we unsaved folks have to say, it being that we are not Mormon?   :sarcasim:

There is also info on S Rigdon in Leroy Garrett's book "The Stone-Campbell Movement".  A woman I have worked closely with for many years in security is a very devout Mormon.  We have had some really good discussions over the years on the night shift :D   I asked her about Rigdon one time and she was very aware of his RM ties and we had a very good conversation about him.
