For those who have never heard of him, Martyn Lloyd-Jones (1899-1981) was near the beginnings of a very successful medical practice when he sensed a call to the ministry.  He was a Welsh man, and preached for about 30 years in London at Westminster Chapel.

Most "books" by him are just collections of sermons he preached.  His series on The Sermon on the Mount and another entitled "Spiritual Depression" are among some of my favorite "books" of all time.  He also gave a series of lectures to seminary students which is collected under the title of "Preaching and Preachers."  The vast number of anecdotes it contains is worth the price.  A fun read, even for those who are not pastor/preachers.
