i understand that we are to grow in GRACE and Knowledge of Jesus

2 Peter 3:18
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

I am in the right thread "non tradition" because I believe in Jesus doctrine and not denominational doctrine

when we stop growing in grace and knowledge of Jesus well you get placed where others are not to find you.

Joseph
Peter
Paul
Jeremiah

all went to Jail or locked away for a time.

try the spirit to see if its Jesus of the bible or another Jesus spoken of by Paul

Are you one of those Paul-haters, or are you saying that Paul accused some of running after another Jesus?

LS

what are you talking about?

where do you see anything about hating Paul

what is trully on your mind are you here to fellowship or are you plotting something wicked?

here is the verse I quoted by Paul you should know this

2 Corinthians 11:3-5

3But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

4For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

5For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.

do you know this guy Paul speaks of?

Those are in Christ go to Christ when they die.

Perhaps you are caught up in a religious sect or some denomination that teaches otherwise, but the bible teaches us that our spirits go directly to Jesus upon death.

The judgment seat of Christ is going to happen right after the Church is caught away by the Bridegroom. It is a reward ceremony, more or less, but the Great White Throne Judgment is not for the Church, for by that time, we will have already received our eternal glorified bodies and been reigning with Christ for a Millennium! Judgment would be a bit redundant at that point.

Perhaps a bit more earnest eschatological study will help you.

I kind of felt bad that all your posts were relegated to the Non-Traditional theology section here, but now I can see the wisdom in that decision.

thank you for your pity for me and i really appreciate it, but you know that its there because of the count and not the substance because it is a lot of people here that should be there also and the reason they are not is because they agree with things they should not agree with.

now who told you all of this it is certain that you did not read this

QuoteThose are in Christ go to Christ when they die.

where did you read this at.

The BIBLE.

Quoteif we take your very first statement this one verse proves that you are wrong

QuoteThose are in Christ go to Christ when they die.

you are saying everyone that die in Jesus is with him now they are raisd from the dead and with him now

this is impossible

No. The dead in Christ are with Him in their spirits. They will be raised in their new incorruptible bodies at the time of the Rapture of the Church. No one is resurrected yet.

Perhaps you have a hard time comprehending these simple truths because you do not understand that we are tripartite beings: You are a spirit who has a soul and who lives in a body.

Quotebecause we read that we have a first resurrection.

take not there cannot be a ressurection or anyone raised before the first resurrection

there is nothing before first.

Revelation 20:4-6

so how can they be with the Lord when we have not had the first resurrection?

I am here because I dare to question doctrine and faith of others who don't understand.

I back it up with many verses yet I still love your will to post on my topic

thank you.

No one is resurrected yet.

Sometimes a daring spirit will fall into trouble when one holds his views too tightly and is not correctable. It is your own doctrine  that is awry, here in this particular subject.

who told you this certainly you did not get it from the bible the Jesus hAd written?

prove you words with the word of God

do you wish that you could go back?

In mainstream Christianity, when we try and correct someone with the bible and show them what the word of God says, some are quick to go on the defensive especially when what you say goes against what they are being taught and what they believe.

That's when the "Who are you to judge me?

howard

We are at risk of reflecting the worldly cynicism that Pontius Pilate, Governor of Judah, showed when he examined Jesus Christ.

(John 18:37-38) (v.37) Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. (v.38) Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

Jesus is telling you that everyone that is of the truth hears his voice.

Surely every doctrine that is being taught in the name of Jesus is not true.

So how can you be absolutely sure the voice that you are hearing and following is that of the true and living God?

(John 17:17) Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

That's the only way that you can be sure that you are following the God of this bible and not some god created in the mind of this self-serving man.

You must at all times stay close to the scriptures and don't lean on the understanding of others, or even your own understanding for that matter.

howard

Pro 3:5) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

If you truly believe in the God of the Bible, you must believe that there is absolute truth.

For the inspired Word of God clearly indicates this, again and again.

In our desire to be "nice" or "tolerant," we may unwittingly water down our entire concept of right and wrong.

In this "tolerant" spirit, some assume that all religions are equal—that God has not revealed unique truth through His Word or through Jesus Christ. However, if you truly believe the Bible, you will understand that this is wrong.

Even the Apostle Paul—whom many think of as expanding the Christianity that Jesus preached—gave a pointed reminder to the uncircumcised Gentiles of Ephesus, describing their condition before coming into the Truth:

(Eph 2:12) That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.

This same message is for the world today, whether you are a Gentile, Hamite, or Shemite you are without God if you don't repent and come up out of this Roman Christianity and stop serving man and start serving God.

hink about it if we are saved now or were to by into the doctrine once saved always saved then how would Jesus make these comments about overcoming

Revelation 2:7
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 2:11
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Revelation 2:17
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Revelation 2:26
And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Revelation 2:25-27 (in Context) Revelation 2 (Whole Chapter)

Revelation 3:5
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Revelation 3:12
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Revelation 3:21
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Revelation 21:7
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

we have to overcome which is the same as enduring and when we do this, then and only then will you be saved

Matthew 10:22
22And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

it was Jesus in the wilderness with Israel and Moses

1 Corinthians 10

1Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

2And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

3And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

4And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ

Moses and Israel had the same spiritual word and same spiritual God as we have today according to Paul

howard

Paul told us that it was Christ in the wilderness with Israel

Exodus 19

1In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.

2For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.

3And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;

23And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.

24And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.

25So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.

Jesus speaks

Exodus 20

1And God spake all these words, saying,

2I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

12Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

13Thou shalt not kill.

14Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15Thou shalt not steal.

16Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17Thou shalt not covet

why is it that they have the same spiritual meat and same spiritual rock as we do yet we try to separate the NT from them and the OT from us?

1 Corinthians 10

1Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

we all have the same gospel according to Paul

Hebrews 4

1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

here the word of Paul AGAIN

9.Hebrews 13:8

Who is the voice that Israel heard in the wilderness giving the commandments

Paul said it was the Christ

lets read again a confirmation from Paul who it was. I t was Jesus according to Paul

4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

5And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

6Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

7Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

8For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

let read who it was not

And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

what is the NEW Covenant?

Paul said

Hebrews 8

7For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

8For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

9Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

11And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

13In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

is the Lord talking about the 10 commandments?

what fault is in the 10 commandments?

is the Lord talking about the laws of animal sacrifice?

look at verse 13 has the commandments vanish away or has animal sacrifice?

in verse 10 the Lord made the NC with the house of Israel why is the gentiles not mentioned?

in verse 8 the Lord found fault with the people(Israel) not with his Covenant.

howard

Jeremiah prophesied about the NC the same NC Paul spoke of in Hebrews

Jeremiah 31

31Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

quite as it is kept the same laws that Jesus gave Israel under the old covenant is the same law he will put in the heart and mind of Israel in the NC

Paul said the same thing.

why is the same laws put into the heart and mind in the NC?

howard

is the NC the commandments?
is the OC the commandments?

is the NC the blood of Jesus?
is the OC the blood of animals?

in the OT when a man sinned what was his cover? the blood of animals
in the NT when man saiined what is hos cover? the blood of Jesus

what law was replaced on the cross when Jesus died? animal sacrifce

why?

2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

have we really understood that when we do and say things it is a time and purpose for it?

whether we type words on this forum to taking out the garbage a hour later there is a time and purpose on why we did it.
