Genesis 1:20-22 >

"Then God said, 'Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.' So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.'"

So, when God first created sea creatures and birds, then was when He "blessed them". And, ever since then, ones have been killing and eating sea and air creatures, and evil has done all it has to destroy these creatures of God; but still they have kept on going, all that time since then . . . because God blessed them, I consider. This can show us just how much blessing can do: if God's blessing of sea and air creatures has accomplished and meant so much in this world's time, consider how much more our blessing with God can do for people, even into all eternity.

And Jesus does say, "Bless those who curse you," in Matthew 5:44; so Jesus desires that we bless even those who curse us; and if God really wants this, then God is committed to making our blessing work to bring God's good to enemies, including to get them changed to become children of God's love and way of loving.

When Jesus was on the cross, "Even the robbers who were crucified with Him reviled Him with the same thing." (Matthew 27:44) So, both those robbers hanging with Jesus were badmouthing Him. But Luke 23:39-43 shows us that one of those criminals hanging next to Jesus stood up for Jesus. So, one gospel says both criminals were badmouthing Jesus, but Luke says one criminal stood up for Jesus; is this is contradiction

Well, in Luke, it also says, a little bit earlier in the same chapter, that Jesus on the cross prayed, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." (in Luke  23:34) And then, after Jesus' prayer of forgiveness, then was when that robber stood up for Jesus (Luke 23:39-43). So, I can see that, at first, both robbers were badmouthing Jesus; then Jesus blessed them with His prayer of forgiveness, and that prayer of love worked to change one criminal to stand up for Jesus and share with Jesus for eternity.

So, instead of criticizing people and cursing them with my paranoid suspicion and being unforgiving, I need to do what works . . . blessing in caring prayer of forgiveness and hope for any person Thank You, God our Father and Jesus, halleluiah ! ! !
