He will "keep us through"

Most of you have probably heard the old saying "what He doesn't keep us from, He'll keep us through."  I wonder how many believe that, and of those that believe it, how many know the Scriptural foundation for the statement?

First:  I firmly believe that What God does not keep us from, He will be faithful to keep us through.

Second:  What Scriptural assurance do I have of this?  There are two Scriptures I will mention here, but, I am not saying that these are the ONLY two that give us assurance of His keeping us through.

The first Scripture is the 23rd Psalm.  Specifically "Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me;"

This tells me that while God may not keep us from the valley of the shadow of death (trials and tribulations), He is surely fraithful to keep us through.............

The second Scripture is John 17:15  "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil."

Again, this telling me that Jesus prayed to God NOT that God would take us out of the world (keep us from trials and tribulations), but, rather keep us from the evil of the world (keep us through these trials and tribulations).

Now, these are my thoughts only I supose, but, for me this is another example of Scriptural promise of "blessed assurance."
