Solomon Was a Fool

Quick, who was the wisest man ever?  Many would answer "Solomon

Sinead

Solomon ended up being involved in the occult. That is where the so-called 'star of david' comes from. It never had anything to do with David and is a powerful occult symbol. Solomon didn't invent it but he took on this symbol when he went into the occult. It is called Solomon's key. He was definitely a fool.

S,  thanks for the interesting comments.

(But, I will have to read some on the Star of David comments.)

But, to me, there is far more danger coming from the likes of Hollywood, Madison Avenue, and Wall Street, than there is from the likes of Anton LaVey and Aleister Crowley, or some lesser known voodoo priestess.  PBS concerns me more than a witch coven.

I just think America is selling its soul for gold and green.  We give up the fear of the Lord for fashion-fever, and we trade the love of God for the love of this world.  Getting back to nature is not the answer, but rather getting back to God!  Sports, Travel, Education, Entertainment, the Great-Out-Of-Doors, Fashion, ... on and on goes the list of distractions and substitutes.  And these are just the "harmless" ones.

Of course, to hook up with Hell, in any format, IS foolish!

God gave him wisdom, but he chose to disregard it and turn to the occult. Is there anything more pitiful than a self-made fool?

Anyway, I found your comment about the Star of David's association with occultism interesting, and I looked it up on wikipedia. Here's what I found:

Usage in occultism
The hexagram, like the pentagram, was and is used in practices of the occult and is attributed to the 7 'old' planets outlined in astrology.

The six-pointed star is commonly used both as a talisman and for conjuring spirits in the practice of witchcraft. In the Book The History and Practice of Magic, Vol. 2, the six-pointed star is called the talisman of Saturn and it is also referred to as the Seal of Solomon.[3] Details are given in this book on how to make these symbols and the materials to use.

Dr. John Dee, the court astrologist of Queen Elizabeth I, in his book Hieroglyphic Monad, includes the following quote:

"'Mahatma Letters,' page 345: 'The double triangle viewed by the Jewish Kabbalists as Solomon's Seal is...the Sri--Antana of the Archaic Aryan Temple, the Mystery of Mysteries, a geometrical synthesis of the whole occult doctrine. The two interlaced triangles are the Buddham-Gums of Creation. They contain the 'squaring of the Circle,' the 'Philosophers' Stone,' the great problems of Life and Death--the mystery of Evil. The Chela who can explain this sign from every one of its aspects is virtually an Adept.'"[4]

Traditionally, the Hexagram can be seen as the combination of the 4 elements. The triangle with the point upwards symbolises Fire, and with a horizontal line across its center symbolises Air. The triangle with the point downwards symbolises Water, and with a horizontal line across its center symbolises Earth. The two combined create the Hexagram, and hence a combination of the elements.[5]

Usage in Freemasonry
"The interlacing triangles or deltas symbolize the union of the two principles or forces, the active and passive, male and female, pervading the universe... The two triangles, one white and the other black, interlacing, typify the mingling of apparent opposites in nature, darkness and light, error and truth, ignorance and wisdom, evil and good, throughout human life." —Albert G. Mackey: Encyclopedia of Freemasonry
The hexagram, one of the world's most ancient symbols, is featured within and on the outside of many Masonic temples as a decoration. It may have been found within the structures of King Solomon's temple, from which Freemasons are inspired in their philosophies and studies. Like many other symbols in Freemasonry, the deciphering of the hexagram is non-dogmatic and left to the interpretation of the individual.

okay S & S,

pentagrams, hexagrams, and kilograms of blue powder!

Satan is not defeated by salt circles, but by the Spirit of God.

we need to remember that "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." 1Jn.4:4

Freemasonry, Jewish Kabbalism,  Voodoo, whatever ...

Satan's greatest baits, include the Gal. 5 sin list (KJV does mention "sorcery"); not the 5 or 6 pointed star.  wouldn't you agree?  any other focus seems to me, IMHO, to be a distraction by the enemy.

listen to the Message translation of this sin list!

19-21It is obvious what kind of life develops out of trying to get your own way all the time: repetitive, loveless, cheap sex; a stinking accumulation of mental and emotional garbage; frenzied and joyless grabs for happiness; trinket gods; magic-show religion; paranoid loneliness; cutthroat competition; all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants; a brutal temper; an impotence to love or be loved; divided homes and divided lives; small-minded and lopsided pursuits; the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone into a rival; uncontrolled and uncontrollable addictions; ugly parodies of community. I could go on.

p.s. anti-Semitism lurks close to surface?  it concerns me when a harmless symbol is demonized, especially one chosen by the modern state of Israel as a national symbol -- I suspect they proudly choose it in defiance of evil?!  Hitler may have forced them to wear the magen david, but the sons of David are still here!  alas, all this is to miss the main point of this post, methinks?

Holy Father, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, deliver us from darkness into the kingdom of light. in the name of your dear Son, amen.
