He said he went "to confession", in an earlier post, if I remember correctly. And that is not related to this thread, I "suppose". It's about what is really true or not. I admit I want to just dump what Giver says, by lazily saying oh you're just another Catholic and therefore you can't know what you're talking about. Yeah, I can be lazy.

So, it looks like when Giver says a Christian does not sin, he means one does not deliberately do what is wrong. And he means one is not so perfect that one always does things perfectly, but is able to do sins of ignorance and imperfection.

But our Apostle Peter knew he had ministered the Holy Spirit to Gentiles. And Paul clearly does say his sin was "hypocrisy". And this is in scripture. So, if you believe the Holy Spirit wrote Galatians through chapter two, verses 11-13, then it is the Holy Spirit Himself who is saying Peter's sin was "hypocrisy". So, if Giver feels and says that is only Paul's opinion and view, then possibly, Giver, you do not consider the scriptures of Galatians to be divinely inspired, in which case you would not be in line with official Roman Catholic belief, I would consider.

So, even though you may have gone to Catholic "confession", you may not be officially Roman Catholic, if you think what Paul says in Galatians is only Paul's own view and not what the Holy Spirit had him write.

But the Bible clearly does say, "He who has been born of God does not sin," in 1 John 3:9. Ones say this means one can not leave God, but because we are not perfect we can fail and mess up . . . like Peter did, etc., even after he had ministered the Holy Spirit to the Gentiles and was a Spirit-filled person. And our apostle John, right while he was receiving the vision of Revelation says,"I fell down to worship" an angel (Revelation 19:10) . . . not exactly what the Holy Spirit had him doing. So, he was not perfect, though blessed to receive the Book of Revelation. But because he was close to God, he was so closely and quickly given communication to correct him > Revelation 19:9-10. But then, later, he says, in another place, "I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel"! > Revelation 22:8. And the angel spoke to correct John.

So, as you get closer to God, you will be more closely corrected, even with personal communication, right away, if we are close to Him.

That's a very good post comfy, I agree with that.

If Giver admits he is Catholic than he will find it hard to continue this argument.
