Almost three years saved now and God has turned me into a....somewhat feminine gal.  I want to meet a nice guy to date and be all girly and feminine (although I can still change a tire and back up a large trailer).

I have been buying and wearing heels.  (GASP!!!!!!!!!!)  I walk around in them in the morning and practice.  I bought THESE heels and I love them and want to meet the right guy to wear them out with (or when I go to Scottsdale this Feb lol)--

I bought three different ones too.

I have been collecting good smelling lotions..

Oh dear God what have you done LOL!!!  Now I just need to meet the right guy :)

PS--anyone wanna pull my finger???

Wow I have been a christian for about 25 years and I dont wear high heels. Maybe because I dont want to a) kill myself b) break my ankle or c) ruin my feet and back lol. Do you think there is something wrong with me??????

haha, you made me laugh because I don't wear them either.

But since she is practicing remember, heel toe heel toe, and don't let your knees bend too much but still bend them.

fassopony

Why on earth would I think something was wrong with you?  I have spent 40 years not wearing heels.

I am enjoying the changes that seem to be coming along in my life since being saved :)  Including this odd but enjoyable way of seeming to want to be more girly or feminine.  So what?  It's fun.

The walking seems to be pretty easy, probably from the many, many years of exuberant and strict horseback riding lessons in two point and without stirrups.  I have exceptional balance :)

I might add the Enzos are a lot less expensive than Dehners.

OK...you ladies kill me with all this talk about the right heels and practicing your walk.

A pretty woman will get a few seconds of notice by a guy.

A kind and sincere word of admiration will get a guy thinking of you for hours and days...maybe even weeks or months...high heels or not.

Do the math.

lasting good impressions are what you are spending all those dollars on clothes, perfumes, and makeup for. Where acting and dressing like a lady is a good thing...those kind and sincere words of admiration go so very much farther.

Just a hint from a guy who has been there.

fassopony

Oh, I agree, the kind and sincere is first and foremost :)

BUT I still like wearing these heels.  They are fun!  Besides, I work enough OT to spend a little ;)

Sinead

Yes God is good and He is Lord.

Supplanter

This thread makes me happy. I hardly ever wear heels, but yeah it's fun being a girl sometimes.

Not sure if I could walk in high heels that high with out ending up in accident and emergency. I agree John. MY son who has just got married to a lovely girl, cant understand why girls wear high heels. He says they spend all the time complaining how much they hurt, they cripple themsleves, and he doesnt think they look nice anyway. He cant understand why any girl would wear them. Thats just another guys view.

I am sure they are attractive to many men though and thats why they are popular I suppose. I think its supposed to be because they make the legs look longer and they make the women walk in a more sexual way (apparently), although many women that I see with those really high heels look as if they are just about to fall over and also look very unsteady.
If you can manage to stay upright on those fassopony you will have done well. If I ever do wear heels they are about half that size, and that is quite rare.
Feminine I do and like, high heels and make up I dont do. Can never see the point.

Good for you Hehealed :)

This thread is meant to be fun Supplanter yay!!!!!!!!!!!!! ::clappingoverhead::

The heels are comfy and remarkably, the tall/platform-y ones are easy to walk in.  I did a lot of research and, as with any shoe, the better made or quality the better fit the better comfort.  Still, I spent less than on my average riding boot LOL!

The ones I am taking to get stretched and the most uncomfy are the lowest heel.  They are darling though, deep burgundy patent leather.

I wear them out, so for only 4 to 5 hours tops at a time.  I'm taking the really high red ones to the laundromat and grocery store for a spin on Friday when I do my laundry.  The gal who owns the laundromat will get a kick out of them and I will get more miles in heels.  ::cool::

IamStefanie

Heels are fun! Some hurt, some dont. There are insoles now so that the pain is minimal. I have some heels that I can wear for most of the day. Others are only made for a couple of hours. Fassopony, I'm glad you are enjoying your femininity. Work it girl!!!  ::applause::

These are some classy shoes! My favorite pair of heels were the same color and heel size, they weren't shiny but they go great with everything.

IamStefanie

Those are cute too! I like the color I could see wearing a pear like that on a regular basis

As long as you know that you will end up with bad feet, bad hips and bad backs later on then got for it. Victoria beckham, has been told that she needs to stop wearing them because they have damaged her feet. After the birth of her baby, I saw a photo of her with flatties and no make up. She looked so pretty and natural.
I just dont get high heels. The only thing they seem to achieve is to get certain types of men to stare at you.

I love to see women look really femine, but dont understand why high heels need to be part of this. Just me.

Bitter Sweet

She's just having fun. Besides, maybe she is interested in a man with different tastes and she wants to be able to please him before knowing him. Nothing wrong with her getting in the mood for marriage.  ::smile::

I could care less for Victoria's problems, I don't follow celebrities, instead real people interest me.

fassopony

Wearing heels occasionally is not going to ruin my body and send me to a wheel chair, Chosenone.  I GET that you don't approve, I hope you GET that it is my choice to wear whichever shoes.  The latest "scare" tactic is (gasp!  fling yourself hysterically!!) flipflops!!!!!

OH NOEZ teh evil debbil flipflops gonna destroy the world (and all those cute Southern gals feet LOL!).

I also have no interest in following celebrities as their lifestyles are not something I want in my life, or mind  ::cool::

Carwhisperer

I'm a sucker for high heels. If my current girlfriend wasn't wearing them on the day I met her I probably wouldn't have asked for her phone number. High heels make a 5 into a 7 and a 7 into a 9. Furthermore, you can't be a 10 without them. Also, don't underestimate the power of girliness in general and nails in particular. A french manicure and high heels can make up for a lot of other deficiencies. Now I feel pretty superficial. But at least I was honest.

fassopony

Yes, most definitely were LOL!!

Merry Christmas!

IamStefanie

Fassapony, I feel you! Heels are adorable. And this is for your enjoyment. So, have fun with it. I'm 28, and I've worn heels for a while now (like, almost forever, LOL). Fell a few times and still have the occasional heel turnover, LOL (that's because I didn't have the proper heel walk going). But I don't wear the 4 or 5 inch stilletos like I did when I was 21. Just can't roll like that. But I got some nice heeled boots (2 or 3 inches) and being a short gal with thick legs, it does wonders for my whole look. Besides, I just like heels! I have flats, and I just like shoes, and if they are comfortable (heels can be comfortable too) then I'm doing my thing. It's fun being a feminine gal too!

fassopony

Oh right on LOL!!!  I haven't fallen but I can be amazingly clumsy in bare feet so who knows??  I once made a crop circle at a Memorial Day party tumbling willynilly down the grassy slope to the beach.  Spectacular!

I did find out where it came from though!  I was talking to my cousin and she reminded me that my Grandma always wore cute heels whenever she went out.  I barely remember but it seems to be coming back.  She even had super cute "hostess" shoes, remarkably feminine with a low heel.

The benefit of being a single is that you will be able to catch up on your spiritual growth and a deeper intimacy with God. Compared to a married person, that needs to balance his time and attention between spiritual and everyday life issues.

Be an asset first and build up your characters. Soon enough God will bring to you your best soul mate.

The foundation for any relationship should be spiritual if you want it to be long lasting.
