hello everyone,i need a little help in form of suggestions. I am a christian, and i attend a fellowship,where i happen to be a worker.i have just few friends in church,and a bit shy wit the opposite sex.some months ago,i had a dream.in the dream,i saw one of the brothers in my church,he was standing in a corrider and a voice very loud and clear was telling me or talking to me, i kept on hearing '' ''YOU AND HIM IN THE NEAREST FUTURE''. i did not even understand the dream,and besides i don't even talk or relate with the guy apart from the usual pleasantries we exchange in the church.so i forgot about the dream.
the funny thing about it all is that even my younger sister had a dream about him too,without evening seeing or knowing....she was always calling me about this particular bro in my fellowship .she feels there's a link between both of us...but i always ignored her
some months later, after service in church,the guy demanded to see me,at the end of service in church, he was talking about having a serious and committed relationship with me that might lead to marriage.i instantly told him ,we can or should remain friends for now,i real don't know what to do,do you think the dream i had is about God talking to me ,even before the guy approached me.please, i really needs answers......

This is my ist post since i joined the forum...nd the first response i get is so harsh......u talk about seeing a psychiatrist...you talked abt sin and homosexuality....how is a guy wanting or seeking my hand in marriage a sin?..how is homosexuality related to all this..........

we call ourselves christians.....and all give out is hate.....condemnation.....where is the love that jesus preached?...thanks for your response all the same...next time.....i will keep every questions i have to myself.....

I would bide your time, get to know him more first, maybe as a friend, and see what happens. If it is God then it will happen sooner or later. Must admit it may freak me out a bit if some guy who I hardly knew came up to me saying that he wanted a serious relationship that may lead to marriage when we didnt even know each other, but take it one step at a time and see what happens. There is no rush and you want to be sure.

Listen, you're a smart girl. Your initial reaction to be friends and get to know him was the right one. Take it sloooooow. And don't allow him, your sister, or anyone else to push you into anything you aren't comfortable with.

Ok, what do you *want*?  Do you even like this guy?  Find him attractive?  Think you're a good match on lots of different levels?  If so and is wanting a relationship, then I don't see much harm in having a coffee or lunch with him.    But, I do think that God often works through our desires (not always!) but if you find yourself really wanting this chap, then pray about it and see if you can take some time together and then see where it goes.
