Nevertheless

A troll is one who posts a deliberately provocative message to a message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument.

Occasionally we have trouble with trolls here at GCM. Here are a few guidelines for dealing with them:

1. Use the "Report to Moderator" link. This is the best and fastest way to have the post removed.

2. Do not respond, and especially, do not quote a troll. (This is sometimes stated as, "Don't feed the troll.") These people want attention of any kind. Often they will go away if they don't get it.

3. Don't take anything they say seriously. Trolls will say ANYTHING to provoke a response.
