hello everyone....i need an advise

a guy named Dav  in my fellowship ask me out and was hoping for a relationship that would lead to marriage.he's a great person,but i just told him we should be friends....and we remained very good friends.Dav has a very good christian friend named richard....they pray together and are close friends....am not so close to richard. some months later,i  had a dream,in the dream....dav and richard were standing together, and they were both wearing a suit each.and when i got there, i was not wearng a suit...but i later found myself wearing a suit.i thought  it was dav's suit i wore...but when i turned around..i was shocked....dav was actually still putting on his suit,,,it was richard's suit i had  collected and worn.Honestly i really don't understand d dream...i try to forget it....but it sometimes comes to my mind.....but i don't even know the meaning...

#1 - if you wanted to have a 'relationship' with this Dav, why did you play the "Let's just be friends" card?  That kills any hope of romance for a guy.

#2 - Dreams are just that - Dreams. If you sense God speaking to you in the dream they may mean something.  Otherwise, they mean nothing at all. It is not possible for any of us to tell you what God is saying to you.  (I believe personal words of prophecy are prohibited here)

So if you think God is trying to tell you something you need to pray for the answer.

All of the dreams that I have had in my life have just been that, dreams. None of them meant anything, and God has never used them to speak to me.

Could it be that you want it to mean something? If so, maybe you should reevaluate how you feel.

Anyway, the way I see dreams is like this. Sometimes they are just a result of our imagination. And other times, it's stuff on our minds we're trying to work out. And dreaming about a particular person doesn't necessarily mean the dream is about him/her. People can represent something else. It's nothing woo woo. I wouldn't attach any great meaning to it.

I think you got some fairly good advice already.  Dreams are really the mind sorting out events and thoughts to clear the mind, I have learned from studies and various experiences, and sometimes we can learn from them;  but I would not try to take them as direction for your life.  We cannot always expect such symbolism to be truth for us.

You do seem to have ambivilence over the boys in your life, but prayer and caution are needed to see what God will show you (there are many boys out there whom you will meet in time).

My counsel would be to not be in a hurry to find someone, but ask God to bring along the right person in the right time.  He will be a real and sound believer in the Lord Jesus (not just a religious guy), and others will know that and agree he is sound.  If one tells the Lord they are trusting Him and do not want to go astray, He will honor that.  Just be sure you are in communion and alive unto God by the Lord Jesus Christ, and sound in your own faith and walk.  Look up always!
