Grace member geronimo attributed this to his youth pastor:

"We all preach all of the time, sometimes we use words."

It is a variation on the quote "Preach the Gospel always, and if necessary, use words" of unknown origin according to Wiki, but I like the youth pastor's version better.

We should be aware that whatever our actions, there is always someone watching, sometimes many, always One.

Well Carey, heh heh. Looks like a fair quote trade to me. I really like the one above.
Thanks,
Geronimo

Hi geronimo,

Just to be clear, I had no intent to take credit away from your youth pastor; rather I wanted to ensure the integrity of my post.

I had a vague memory of something similar so I did a bit of searching.  What struck me was I cannot imagine ever having only a vague memory of the words used by your pastor, that is one quote that will never be vaguely remembered, word for word it will stick.

Cheers, ::smile::
Carey.

Which leads me to add that we often see posts here asking us if we have "witnessed" to anyone today?  And I most always say that one of (note I said one of) the most powerful witnesses a Christan can have is how they lead their lives.  How they conduct themselves minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day when enteracting with others.  Both Christians and non-believes.  Truly Christians observe the actions of those who profess to be Christian, and non-believers do even more so in my opinion.

See, I believe that our "witness" in how we conduct ourselves is the "witness"that calls how a non-believer conducts themselves into a state of judgement by the Holy Spirit.  Now, this is just my belief, so don't go making any great theological thingy out of it, just saying.  How we live our lives as believers is a powerful witness to the world of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.  Yes!  It is still important to share the Good News, and this will most probable require "words."  But I have found that how one leads their life will result in opportunities to share the Good News through words as folks will most naturally have questions for us, and those questions will open the door to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
