We will see in this set of scriptures that there are, in fact, only two members of the Godhead.

Read these scriptures carefully as I know you have done the others, and we will see the Lord Jesus is doing the talking through the mouth of Isaiah.

And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? Have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not? I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee. When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain; And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling block out of the way of my people. (Isaiah 57:11-14)

Note, man cannot make the above statement. Who will judge us by our works? Jesus. If we walk in His word we will inherit the earth. Now, let's clear this trinity myth up.

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. (Isaiah 57:15)

howard

Note what's being said, "I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit."

Notice the scripture says I (Jesus) dwell with Him (The Father) what does "HIM" imply?

Only two sisters and brothers.

Now let's recap what we have learned.

Remember that in Genesis, chapters one, three and eleven the scriptures stated "let us" express indirectly that there is more than one member of the Godhead.

In John, chapter one in verse one, it displays two members only by stating, "The Word was with God and the Word was God."

In the book of Revelation in the nineteenth chapter will establish that the "Word" mentioned in the book of John was in fact Jesus.

From there we went back into the scriptures to the book of Psalm the 45th chapter. The seventh verse in the 45th chapter of Psalm states, "God, thy God" revealing once again only two members of the Godhead.

Once we did that, we returned to the New Testament into the Book of Hebrews, chapter one, and we saw that Paul was quoting the 45th Psalm.

From the Book of Hebrews, we returned to the scripture taking a look at the 110th Psalm. In the 110th Psalm we found 2 members.

The scripture stated, "The Lord said unto my Lord." From there, we went back to the New Testament into the Book of Matthew.

We were shown that Jesus was quoting the 110th Psalm.

Then, we went back into Paul's writings and took a look at the Book of Colossians, chapter three, verse one. In that verse we saw once again two members of the Godhead.

The verse stated that, "Christ sits on the right hand of God." Finally we went into the Book of Isaiah, chapter fifty seven, verse 15, where it states, "I dwell in the high and lofty place with Him." Showing clearly that there are two members only in the Godhead.

Before we continue, let's take a look at the book of John, in chapter seventeen and show that Jesus was in fact God before He came in the flesh.

These  words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. (John 17:1-5)

Note the fifth verse, "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was."

That's very clear don't you think?

That verse shows Jesus has been around forever.

Now, take a look at John chapter one verse one again, so we can have a clear understanding that Jesus, known as Jehovah or Yahweh before He came in His father's name, is in fact one of the members of the Godhead.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

Now that we have established there are only two members, let see were the roman Christian has thrown a third member into the Godhead.

Let's take a look at some world history and see how the Gentiles made something that is so simple difficult. Pay close attention and you will see that they had no idea how to explain the Godhead.

Here is a quote from the Grolier encyclopedia.

Difficulties soon emerged in formulating and understanding this threefold "economy." Divergent views led early to numerous Trinitarian controversies such as those over subordinationism (the teaching that the Son is subordinate to the Father and the Holy Spirit to both; see Arianism) and modalism (the view that the three modes are transitory; see Monarchianism and Sabellianism).

The Councils of Nicaea (325) and Constantinople (381) outlined the dogma of the Trinity in express rejection of these teachings.

The Nicene, or Niceno-Constantinopolitan, creed has defined through the ages, for both Catholic (Roman and Orthodox) and Reformation (Lutheran, Reformed, and Anglican) churches, the basic doctrine of the Trinity. Catholic and Protestant theology has sought in various ways to make the doctrine stated at Nicaea comprehensible. Saint Augustine's lucid analogies of the divine Trinity in our experience of ourselves as memory, understanding, and will, and in our experience of our own existence as characterized by being, truth, and love, have been the point of departure for most subsequent study.

In the religious thought of the Enlightenment (17th and 18th centuries), there was a strong reaction against Trinitarianism as an "orthodox" mystery without basis in either experience or reason this was the view of Unitarianism and deism and of much 19th-century liberal theology. The great figures of 20th-century theology Karl Barth, Paul Tillich, and, most recently, Karl Rahner despite their diversity of outlook, have again found the Trinity a central, in fact an unavoidable, structure for expressing the Christian understanding of God. I know the HS is not God because of his job description  and not one time in the bible is the HS called God.

I even went to acts 5 to try and prove it and I failed there.

When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.

[5] Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay. [6] Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?

That is to cause offence to God, and blasphemy against the holy spirit is spoken in scripture, therefore Holy spirit is part of the Godhead, other wise how can there be blasphemy.

The name is ambiguous due to the holy spirit being hidden in the inner sanctuary, the holy of holies.

Since the term spirit and holy spirit can be used to define other spirits i.e Pauls spirit is holy, but yet Jesus makes it clear that Holy Spirit is another, a comforter.

Howard, you are just blowing hot air. The Lord in His word gives Holy Spirit personhood. We don't call Him 'He'---God does. So, either get with the program or remain out of touch with God. It's your choice. I should think that if you knew the Lord, you would want everything He died to give you. But, as you reject His Spirit, you are obviously grieving Him and He cannot get through to you as long as you have this stiff neck about Him. He will continue to wait patiently, but He will not force you. What a sad picture that sends me.

If you are refusing to hear Holy Spirit, who is supposed to be indwelling you, then you aren't going to hear us. So, your arguments are just whistling in the wind.

I even went to acts 5 to try and prove it and I failed there.
Go ahead and Go there, pay attention to the conversation
And read these verses once done

It took awhile for my spiritual eyes to open

Ecclesiastes 5:4-6 (KJV)
When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.

[5] Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay. [6] Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?

Look what the Lord say don't do and if you do  vow and don't keep it
Who heard the vow? Who did you lie to

Blasphemy!  ::noworries::

Jesus did not call the comforter God. That's not written

The Comforter is the Spirit's role as well as a specific name. Each person of the trinity has specific characteristics.

God The Father has a name
God the Son has a name

What is the name of the comforter?

Holy Spirit is His name.

Yup. ::nodding::  ::shrug:: Why is this being made SOOO hard?  Baffles me.  ::juggle::

Howard, you are just blowing hot air. The Lord in His word gives Holy Spirit personhood. We don't call Him 'He'---God does. so, either get with the program or stay out of touch. It's your choice. I should think that if you knew the Lord, you would want everything He died to give you. But as you reject His Spirit, you are obviously grieving Him adn He cannot get through to you as long as you have this stiff neck about Him.

If you are refusing to hear Holy Spirit, who is supposed to be indwelling you. then you aren't going to hear us. So, your arguments are just wind.

If you don't know you don't know. I put the words of God and yet you attack me

Answer the verse

Yes the HS is
but you did not include something,

The HS does nothing on his own

Could you please provide that verse for me, I did not quote it right and
I'm looking for it now.

What?  ??? You want me to provide a verse you misquoted?

Add this to your post and please comment

Hebrews 10:5 (KJV)
Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

A body was prepared for the God who became the son

okay...what do you want me to comment on?  The body that was prepared was the one Mary gave birth to and named Jesus.  ::shrug:: What does that prove to you that the Holy Spirit isn't God?

Who put the body (seed)in Mary?

Is the HS Jesus Father ?
Is God the Father his Father?

THAT'S the POINT, Howard!  God is the Father and the Holy Spirit conceived the Christ Child. THEY ARE GOD all THREE!

What is te Father name?

What is the HS name?

Jesus said he comes in the Father's name
Who is Jesus Father?
Jesus the Father or the HS?

Which one?
