New Interface?

Wow. What a difference a day makes.

Was there a note somewhere about the change of the interface? If so I missed it.

Gonna take a while to find everything ....

Not to mention hyperlink, image, etc.

Maybe we just have to remember the codes, and enter them all the time.

I am hoping that turns out to be sarcasm as intended I assume they will show up again soon, I can remember the three you mention, but nothing beyond them.

I also notice that posts are cut off on the right edge. Could that be settings on my computer?

And my dog is missing (avitar), and my signature doesn't show up.

I wonder if we will get the power to upload pics, that would be cool.

Once I have replied to a thread, it's lost to me unless I can remember the thread title or go into the log of my posts from my profile and find it. It's a bit inconvenient. I always appreciated the list of current posts that were always displayed, and the access to the display of new posts which included my own.

Yes, but I cannot see whatever it was that I posted. Once I reply, it goes off the list. I can't remember topic titles well, because often what we discuss changes from the actual topic, and so I can't remember where I was, and makes it hard to get back there unless I go and search all the forum sections for it.

Lively, I also dislike this feature. It should be setup like when we modify a post, we hit save and the modified post comes up.

That I can help you with. You now have to check the box by "Show Signature" each time you post.

I appreciate many of the new features, but like others really miss the "latest posts" section. Hoping this is still a work in progress, and that it will be added back in. Appreciate the effort and hard work ya'll put in regardless. Thank you!

I have been on 3 other forums when they rolled out new interfaces (TheMarriageBed.com, Christianity.com, Ex Church of Christ discussion boards) and it always took a few weeks to get all the features up and running and the kinks ironed out.

I like the look of the new interface, but I too miss the listing of recent posts on the front page.

It does seem to be somewhat faster...

Oh - on the other forums we had advanced warning that the change was coming. (not the day or hour but "sometime next month ...")

There are very easy to make if you know little HTML/JAVA/whatever... :)

but yeah that is annoying.

I think when you post in a topic, it needs to return to the topic you are in when you post it. Having to go find the topic to continue the discussion is a bit frustrating. UGH...

I like the "show the posts" feature, but why are our avatars not in our posts? I don't know... Not liking the changes too much right now. I'm a creature of habit.

I think this is resolved by checking the "return to this topic" option to the left and below the dialogue window. Testing that right now.....

It is nice to be welcomed.

It starts one's experience here on a positive note, I urge ya all to check in and just say "welcome" when a new member posts in the introductions section. Further, when you see a strange face on Sunday morning, introduce yourself, and welcome him/her/them. This very action can have profound and long lasting implications. I have to overcome some shyness and do more of this myself.

I note that "Introductions" is not listed as a subforum under the "General Discussion" anymore but it is still there once one enters.

Perhaps our avitars have been lost to save space. If so, I would propose getting rid of the "mood" icon instead, does anyone pay attention or change it regularly anyway? I have no idea until I hit post in a second how I was feeling when I changed it last....

And while were at it, "manna", it seems an unfortunate feature to me. IMO manna should come from heaven, not man; I feel it a prideful endeavor to even look at mine, but one that is hard to resist.

Well I do not usually write codes for sites. I'm a graphic designer not a coder. but, I can design a bannar if the admin needs one and for free! :)

but for now let them fix the colors because the banner should have similar colors to the layout.

I think they are using already-made layouts.

It was ok few hrs ago. I do not know I think they are trying new layouts or something.
