I-Am-His

I'm feeling all torn up right now, a friend of mine is leaving tomorrow for university and I've had the biggest crush on him for months now and really want to tell him. Sometimes I feel like he likes me to, but mostly I expect he won't return these feelings. Why the desire to tell him, you might wonder... He is the sweetest, most caring, most genuine, person I've ever known and what's truly charming is that he doesn't know this at all. He seems unsure of himself sometimes, and I think he feels overshadowed by his brother sometimes. I so badly want him to know someone adores him and thinks of him often; I want him to know he IS a catch and should take that step when he meets someone he too cares about. I won't be seeing him for a long time, but we have the opportunity to continue growing as friends via text, phone, etc. while he's away so it shouldn't in theory be awkward when we eventually see each other, but I can't help wondering, should I risk it?

Also, I know waiting on God's timing is key in life, and patience is something I struggle with, is me putting my feelings out there going against this? Surely someone has to make the first move in these things? And like I say, he's away anyway and I don't think he will even return these feelings, I just feel like I'm going crazy keeping it all inside. I don't know what to do :(

Is he a believer?
Are you?

Do you know what God's calling is in his life?
Does that line up with your own?

I-Am-His

He is a believer yes, as am I - we actually met through church.  ::smile::  Obviously I can't predict what his calling from God will be, the path he is on now lines up with my own path which I genuinely feel God has placed me on and has led me to with a specific purpose in mind.

OK - so what is stopping you from telling him?  Fear of rejection?

Don't let that stop you.  Shrinking back in an ungodly fear is not good.

Well unless you do it now you will never know.
