Hi! My name is Andrew and I could really use your prayers right now. I am going to be very transparent with you guys and I hope you will be gentle with me. I am having a very difficult time not acting out sexually. I receive very strong urges to act out sexually. I am a Christian and I know acting out sexually is wrong but I am still having a very difficult time.

I don't know why but when I see a woman heading into the women's restroom, I get a very strong urge to follow her into the restroom. It really turns me on for some reason to hear a woman pee. A couple months ago I saw a young lady walking into the women's restroom and I actually followed her in. I did not look at her or touch her in anyway. I went into a stall and masturbated and then I walked out. Why am I telling you this? I am telling you this because my sexual urges are very strong as you can see. I don't want to end up in jail and I know that is going to happen unless I get this under control. I am currently receiving counseling from my pastor regarding this issue. Will you please pray for me? I sure would appreciate it.

This is a part of what I deal with in a court mandated program.

This needs to be nipped in the bud.  It can evolve and escalate into a rape situation so quickly, it will make your head spin.  Are you open to going to see someone in a therapeutic setting?

Willie,
I have seen a mental health and substance abuse therapist. I told her all my struggles and she told me that she was not qualified to help me. There is a sexual addiction counselor here in my town but he charges 85.00 a hour and I can't afford that. I used to live in Alaska and I saw a counselor there for a few weeks. My pastor is encouraging me to take this 6-8 course put on by pure life ministries. The only problem with this is that this course cost 1,000.  I am currently receiving counseling from my pastor.

Pastors are usually woefully inadequately equipped for this sort of therapy.  I can privately send you the phone number of a Tampa Dr. who might be able to connect you with someone in your area.  Many times they will be willing to make some serious payment adjustments.

Willie,
My pastor is actually pretty educated regarding the whole sexual addiction thing. I agree with you as far as most pastors are normally not educated enough to handle this. My pastor has two sons who have dealt with similar sexual addiction issues in their life. My pastor is the kind of person who would refer me to somebody else if he could not help me regarding this issue. There is only one sexual addiction counselor here in my town. I know that for a fact. I have called this person myself. I had a evaluation through Lutheran family services. Lutheran family services does not have a therapist in my town who is equipped to handle this issue. Lutheran family services is trying to get me some financial assistance which will allow me to see the sexual addiction counselor here in my town.
