Manna?

I've noticed under they username it has a Manna category and an add manna link.  What exactly is Manna and is there any use for it or is it just another statistic?

It's like the "Thanks" button on other forums, but all it does is add a number in that space..... doesn't say whch post you liked, nor who you are.

I just put the first one on your last post........ actually the first one I have ever given anyone.  (They mean that much to me.   )

You must first have 50 or more posts before [add to manna] appears below the amount of manna another member has. Even after 50 posts [add to manna] does not appear on your own posts; too many might take advantage of that.


After you attain 50 posts notice the following [add to Manna] that I highlighted in red under your user name. Just click that if you want to add manna to someone for a kindness to you, or something you might appreciate they wrote, etc. I will start you off with a manna just for joining us. What is lighter? The add link? yes, after you reach 50 posts it will change & become clickable... its basically a kind of fun way to gauge how others regard your posts and a way for you to anonymously "voice" your approval of their posts

It must have to do with Matthew 6:3-4,  "But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4  That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. "
