what gift is this?

Hi, i need to know what to tell a friend who asked me what gift she has, she says she dreams of things that are to happen and they always do. Sometimes, when her dreams are about good things she just thanks God for it and it happens, but when there are about someone having an illness, or accident or something bad she tells the person, and they both pray about it and it doesn't happen, also will like to know how she can develope her gift, thanks.

The gift of prophecy. One of the greatest gifts. She dreams like Joseph, and the dad of John the baptist.

My mom has that exact same thing happen to her.  She uses it for intercession.

I would say it definitely seems to be the gift of prophecy. 

I really don't think there's much to tell her.  We all have our different gifts from the Holy Spirit.  Mine, for instance, is the discerning of spirits.  Hers is the gift of prophecy. 

As far as "developing her gift" - I'm far from being an expert, so if someone else here is and knows I'm wrong, please correct me - but I don't think there's really anything she can do.  Perhaps fasting for certain periods and intense prayer, something of that sort.  But I think she needs to understand that her gift has nothing to do with her.  It is strictly a work of the Holy Spirit in her.

"But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.  For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will." - 1 Corinthians 12:7-11

I would only caution that she should be careful trying to "develop" her gift, lest she begin to think it is something that originates within her, and not from the Holy Spirit.  This thinking could potentially lead to boasting and pride, which is an abomination to the Lord (Proverbs 16:5).

Just by carrying on what she is doing and following Gods lead.
