Note to moderators: After I posted this in Christian women I thought it might be nice to hear from the guys too so I reposted it here.  Feel free to delete the one in Christian women if you'd like.

Has anybody had any experience with this in the past?  I'm considering it because it would give me a way to roleplay scenarios like bondage and rape fantasies without putting myself in harms way because I'm not actually meeting  anybody.  I'd be safely in front of my computer screen an anonymous set of numbers.  I could tie myself up and do what he says he would do to me on the screen without having to worry about bring beaten or killed by some psycho.  I wouldn't beat or kill anybody but the fact that I'm into things like this makes me question my sanity  I need to keep myself safe in the insanity though and not put my family through the pain of losing me.

Well, the key word in "cybersex" is "sex"...so unless you're doing this with your husband, DON'T.

MFG that is . . . misguided. I think this kind of thing comes from a desire to be desired, and to "feel like a woman," perhaps, and I suggest that alternatively you look up and meditate on every scripture that there is that addresses women--get an understanding of how God defines womanhood.

I think sometimes the allure of sexuality comes from people having trouble feel like their respective gender, a woman might want to "feel like a woman," and a man "feel like a man." My suggestion is to seek out wisdom on biblical womanhood.

That's my reaction. That is . . . apart from of course, obviously this shouldn't be done for so many reasons.

Yeah, I'm not going to.  Somebody who has been there told me that it isn't like I thought .  This person said that it wouldn't help with any loneliness or a desire to feel loved and just leaves you wanting more.  I don't need to do anything to drag me further down.

If you want to do this because it is causing you mental pain and you want to overcome it, you could try writing fiction. It is an excellent way to work out your feelings without involving any other person. I hope it's okay with God for us to do this.

About what the other person you know said... I have discovered that is the case with trying to fulfill "needs" from sex wherever or however you try to do it. It doesn't make you feel good at all, and makes whatever you were trying to overcome through the sex worse instead of better.

Writing about it is supposed to be different because you can uncover the why's behind what you "need" and deal with those, instead of focusing on the act itself.

Good idea, thanks.  I like to write anyways but haven't done it in awhile.  Maybe I'll get back into it and then share some of the stories here in the writers forum.  It would put my imagination so some good use instead of using it for other things that could get me into trouble. :)

cyber sex with anyone but your spouse is still committing fornication. And since you are single, .....

Spiritually it is no different than physically having sex with someone - except it is much lonlier because you cannot actually join with them.

If the stories you write are sexual in nature, please do not post them here. That is not what Grace Centered Forum is about.

No they're not  I have to admit I have written one story that was sexual in nature.  Most of them, though, are things like mystery, suspense or adventure.

Sounds really fun. I'd like to read them. I've never written a mystery.

MyFathersGirl

Yeah they're kind of fun.  I just have to get better at writing the mysteries so that they slip up to catch the criminal isn't really obvious. :)
