I just would like to know why the Grace Forum allows people to quote so many times?

To me it is a waste.

I often edit posts with multiple layers of quotes. I wish people would learn to edit quotes on their own though.

I've said it multiple times, but no one listens. It's not necessary to quote the entire post you are replying to, just the bit that actually applies to what you write. And it's certainly unnecessary to quote their quote of your post, which also quoted another post, which quoted another, etc., etc.

I suppose you could put a character number limit on posts.  That would cut down the excessive quoting and the huge long original posts.

I will not read posts that long.  Sometimes I skim thru them but usually I just go on to something more digestible.
