This is my first time to this website.

I'm female, 26 years old, and my name is Jacqueline.

I'm feeling depressed so I have been reading devotionals to try to comfort myself.

The last time I felt this down was a few years ago, but that went away on its own.

I don't know why I feel so blue. If you could pray for me that I would feel better, that would be much appreciated.

Welcome to this little corner of the web.  There are a lot of really supportive people here.

Hi Jacqueline,
Welcome to Grace Centered Forums. This is a good place for tender hearts, as everyone here is or has been in need of attention from worldly pressures of some type.
I couldn't help noticing you've been reading, seeking to comfort for yourself.  I think I can safely say we've all been there at some point. I can only speak personally, that I could never find the answers by myself. Jesus has all the answers and we just need ask Him to fix it, then try and help Him all we can. I believe things then will greatly improve.
There are people here who will answer any questions you may have. Feel free to join in and make yourself at home with other believers.
Blessings,
geronimo

Hi Jacqueline, welcome here I hope that you are helped by meeting other Christians and chatting.

Welcome to GC site.  Depressing moods can be physiological or by circumstances.  If moods continue over a few weeks one should see a physician who is caring and thorough, and some meds can help until the body gets stabilized.  If the problem is circumstances, a well trained church Minister or qualified family counselor can often help.  Withdrawing is never good.  Above all, one needs a very personal and trusting relationship with the Lord Jesus, who cares for us more than anyone.  Call upon Him in faith and stay close to Him for peace, joy, and blessings.
