Eccl12vs13

Here's something to think about......How will life on earth be when Jesus is Lord and King over ALL the earth? Let's read a little bit about it...

Zech.14
[6] And it shall come to pass in that
day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
[7] But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
[8] And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

- So during Christ's 1000 year rule we will be able to tell when 'evening' comes, although it will not be totally dark. This makes perfect sense because God's Sabbath will still be observed and His Sabbaths starts at evening on the 7th day.

- The earth will also have at least two seasons; summer and winter.

- Along with seasons we will also have a way of telling 'years'. Again, with the keeping of God's commandment of keeping His feast days FOREVER, we must be able to know at what month to keep them. This can ONLY be done if we are still able to know the beginning and ending of years.

Just think about how life on this planet will be when Jesus is in charge? Let's read how long the people of the earth will live during Christ's 1000 year rule.

Isa.65
[17] For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
[19] And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

- Again we know the above scriptures is speaking of a time when Jerusalem will be lived in safely.

[20] There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old;

- So the person that DIES at one hundred will be considered yet a child.

Let's continue.....

Isa.11
[6] The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
[7] And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
[8] And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
[9] They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Isa.65
[25] The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

- Think about it....A wolf living with a lamb, a leopard lying with the kid, a lion eating straw like an ox, all with a child leading them. And the knowledge of the Lord filling the entire earth.

So we have read a little bit about how the earth will be, but what type of King will Jesus be? What laws will He enforce? After all, that IS what a King does....enforces HIS laws. And what about the saints that will rule with Him? How will they govern? Let's learn....

Rev.12
[5] And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron:
Rev.19
[15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Rev.2
[26] And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
[27] And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

So we find that Jesus will be quite the harsh King, when He arrives. It's NOT going to be a walk in the park, as some may have pictured. And don't think you will be able to get away with anything with any of the saints that will be ruling with Him, for they ALSO will rule with a rod of iron.

Let's look at some laws we KNOW will be kept when He returns;

Zech. 14
[16] And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
[18] And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
[19] This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

So we know for a fact ALL of the nations remaining on the earth during Jesus rule WILL be keeping the Feast of Tabernacles. Well if they do not they will be punished, so I'm thinking they will. Let's find another...

Isa.66
[23] And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

So we find that God's Sabbath will ALSO be a requirement for ALL flesh that are here on earth during Jesus rule.

So it seems that Jesus Laws and Commandments are NOT just for the nation of Israel. They will be for ALL nations and ALL flesh during his 1000yr rule here on earth.

Now if the Lord is going to require EVERYBODY to keep the Feast of Tabernacles and His 7th day Sabbath, what about ALL of the rest of His Holy days? You know.......those Feast that He said would be kept forever!

Do you think He will overlook the Passover, Blowing of the Trumpets, Days of Unleavened Bread, Day of Atonement and all of the rest of His laws? Of course not. Do you think you will be able to serve God on any day YOU choose or will it be the day HE commanded? His 7th day Sabbath!

And what of man's holidays? Do you think X-Mas, Halloween, Easter, Valentines or any other pagan holiday will be kept during Jesus rule?

Jesus will be ruling for 1000 years. Some people will have lived and died ONLY knowing the true word of God. They will have lived and died, not knowing wars, not knowing starvation, not knowing Satan and his angels. But the one thing ALL nations will know will be the laws of God!

Have you ever thought about it?

Well.....if you are blessed to be in the first resurrection, or was blessed to make it through the Great Tribulation....this will be the life you will have.

But it will only last for awhile;

Rev.20
[7] And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
[8] And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth,

Can you imagine being taught by Jesus Himself for 1000 years and people STILL being deceived by Satan? But then again....this IS the same guy that convinced a third of the angels to follow him. That just goes to show how persuasive Satan is.

One more thing to question; Why would Jesus gives us His laws, suspend them for a while after His death, only to have them obeyed again by the whole world when He returns? Does not make sense! After all, we clearly see there will be one law for ALL when He returns.

Life on earth during the 1000 year rule of Jesus Christ......think about it!!!!

There won't be anyone living on the earth during the thousand years.  Nor will Satan be able to deceive anyone during the thousand years.

1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Rev 20:1-15 (KJV)

They come from the hordes resurrected in the resurrection of damnation. Those whose names are not written in the book of life and therefore had no part in the first resurrection, to face judgment and the second death in the lake of fire.

28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. John 5:28-29 (KJV)

Let's now look at some of what you quoted;

3. And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled:

The above scripture tells us the 'REASON' Satan is cast into the pit; "...that he should deceive the nations no more..."!

If there is no one here on earth to deceive why is he put into the pit?

Let's read more;

4. ".....and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

Who is it that is being 'reigned' over during this 1000 years?  Someone must 'reign' with Christ and someone must be 'reigned' over!

Now let's add just a tad bit of common sense;

If, according to Amo, the dead are, "....from the hordes resurrected in the resurrection of damnation.", which is AFTER the 1000 years, why would Satan have to deceive them AGAIN?  These spoken of in John 5:29 have already been judged and deemed unworthy to enter into God's kingdom.

Now let's read some of the OP;

Isa.65
[20] There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old;

At what time will mankind's life span be increased to the point where one that dies at 100 years old will be considered a 'child'?

Let's read more....

Zech. 14
[16] And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

At what point will Satan be able to 'deceive' the nations AND at the same time ALL nations will keep God's Feast of Tabernacles?

All of God's words MUST come to past.

With you so far Eccl.12v13; good post.
I guess the thought of obedience or keeping GOD's designated Days is not very appealing or people would already be doing so. There has always been a battle with that from the start....
but the Lord will prevail !

24 Rev. 20&21 The thousand years and the new Jerusalem

Rev 20: 1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

We will now examine the thousand year period of Rev. 20.  A correct understanding of this time period is very important.  The misunderstanding of this prophecy played no small part in the development of the Papacy.

Verses one through three, are referring of course to the leader of the lost, Satan himself. During this thousand year period, Satan is bound in the bottomless pit.  We will discuss just what the bottomless pit is, after we finish with the thousand year period.  Not only is Satan bound during this thousand years, but he is not able to deceive the nations anymore during this same time.  The scriptures themselves will tell us why this is so.

Verse four, switches the topic to that of the saved during this same thousand years.  It states that the judgment was given unto them.  The saints then, are involved in the work of judgment during this thousand year period. Paul makes reference to this event in 1 Corinthians.

I Corinthians 4  5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

I Corinthians 6  2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Of course this judgment cannot be about who will, or will not have eternal life.  This question has already been answered, since the saved are in heaven with Christ judging the world.  This is why the saints are caught up in the air to meet Christ when He returns, and will ever be with Him (1Th 4:14-18). During this thousand years, the saints are in heaven with Christ who has taken them there.  Later, the wicked will surround the beloved city, or New Jerusalem, apparently after it descends from heaven down to earth (Rev. 21:1-5), at the end of the thousand years.

The judgment that the saints are involved in is apparently for the purpose of understanding why or why not, certain people are or are not in heaven with the saved.  No doubt God will answer all the questions of the saints during these thousand years.  Surely there will be questions from the saints regarding who is, and who is not there.  In the end though, every knee will bow and confess that Christ is the righteous judge of all (Rom. 14:10&11).

Verse five points out that the rest of the dead, that is those who were not saved, did not live again until the thousand years were finished.  Then it says that this is the first resurrection.  That is not to say that the rest of the dead not living again for a thousand years is the first resurrection, for this would make no sense at all.  Rather, that those who were involved in judging the world during this thousand years were part of the first resurrection, that is, the resurrection of the saved.

Verse six says that those who are saved and take part in the first resurrection are blessed and holy.  It also points out that the second death will have no power over them.  For them, death has been swallowed up in victory, in and through their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They shall be priests of God and reign with Him during this thousand year period.

Verses seven through fifteen point out what will happen to the wicked at the end of this thousand year period.  This begins with Satan being let loose again to deceive the nations.  In order for this to take place, the lost who have been dead during this thousand year period (verse 5), must be resurrected.  Thus having died once already, at Christ's second coming (Luke 17:28-30, 2 Th. 2:8,  Rev. 6:14-17), they will die the second death, when they come up on the beloved city with their leader, Satan.  That both the saved and the wicked will be resurrected, was pointed out by Christ Himself when here on earth.

John 5  28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

The resurrection of life is at the beginning of the thousand years.  The resurrection of damnation is at the end of the thousand years.

So now, the wicked surround the beloved city, and fire comes down from God, and devours them (verse 9).  This is the lake of fire, where the Devil, and the Beast, and the False prophet are. It is where all those whose names are not written in the book of life will end up, and die the second death (verses 13-15).  The book of life, from which all these people were judged, must be the book that the saints were examining during this thousand year period.  This would be the judgment that they were involved in (verses 11&12).

Now to the definition of the bottomless pit into which Satan was cast.  The definition of which, will reveal that the lost are dead during this thousand year period.  Let us look at some scriptures to see what a bottomless pit might represent.

Job 17  13 If I wait, the grave is mine house: I have made my bed in the darkness. 14 I have said to corruption, Thou art my father: to the worm, Thou art my mother, and my sister. 15 And where is now my hope? as for my hope, who shall see it? 16 They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when our rest together is in the dust.

Psalm 30  3 O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Proverbs 1  11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: 12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:

Isaiah 38  17 Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back. 18 For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

Jeremiah 41  7 And it was so, when they came into the midst of the city, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah slew them, and cast them into the midst of the pit, he, and the men that were with him.

9 Now the pit wherein Ishmael had cast all the dead bodies of the men, whom he had slain because of Gedaliah, was it which Asa the king had made for fear of Baasha king of Israel: and Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled it with them that were slain.

In the bible, a pit is very often associated with the grave, or a place to put the dead.  A bottomless pit then, would undoubtedly represent an enormous grave, filled with countless people.  If the bible then, tells us that all the lost will be slain when Christ returns the second time, which it does, then this world would be one massive grave.  The dead bodies of countless millions strewn all over it.  This is in fact where Satan is bound for this thousand years.  While the saved are in heaven going over the book of life, he is here with nothing but the dead.  Thus Satan can no longer deceive the nations during this thousand years, for there are no nations, or peoples to deceive.  Jeremiah speaks of the world in this condition.

Jer 25:  30 Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD.
32 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
33 And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.

Jer 4: 23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. 24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. 25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

Isaiah not only spoke of this condition of the earth, but prophesied of the very things we are discussing.

Isaiah 14  12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; 17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? 18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. 19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet. 20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

Though all the kings, and people will be slain, yet Satan will not join them in burial.  Though he be in the pit with them, the bottomless pit, yet he will not be given the rest of the sleep of the dead.  He will live for a thousand years alone with no one to deceive, and nothing to do but ponder the effects of the works of his own hands.  Ever looking forward to the judgment, and his destruction at the end of the thousand years.

Isaiah 24  18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake. 19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. 20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. 21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. 22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited. 23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

Here again, Isaiah is referring to the destruction of the earth, and the death of the wicked. When the wicked are gathered together in the pit, that is dead, and shut up in death as in prison (Job3:11-18, Isa. 53:8), then they will be visited after many days. That many days would be the thousand years that we are discussing, and it will not be well for them when they are visited.

Revelation 21  7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. 9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. 17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. 18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. 19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. 22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. 25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. 26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. 27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

I want to be in that city, don't you.

Let's look at just one example of nonsense this person believes in;

"The judgment that the saints are involved in is apparently for the purpose of understanding why or why not, certain people are or are not in heaven with the saved."

Really?  God is going to explain Himself to the saints?  Again.....really?  If the saints are being told WHY certain people are not with the Lord, then WHO is being 'reigned' over as the scriptures says here; ".....and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

Who is it that is being 'reigned' over during this 1000 years?  Someone must 'reign' with Christ and someone must be 'reigned' over!

How about answering the other questions presented with scriptures;

Isa.65
[20] There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old;

Just when does the above take place?  Do you know?  How does it all fit into the scriptures if no one is one the earth during Christ 1000 year rule?

It ALL must take place!

You don't really think Christ only rules over humanity do you? You do know that Jesus Christ is God, don't you? That He rules over all creation and created beings, don't you? Perhaps you do not quite understand exactly who and what the saints will be in the new heaven and new earth, as the literal flesh and blood sons and daughters of God. The brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ, who became one with us, who is God. Who else will be like the literal flesh and blood sons and daughters of God, save Christ Himself King of Kings, and Lord of lords?

What exactly do you think will be judged by the saints during the thousand years? How will they judge who will or who will not be in heaven, when they are already there by God's judgement? If they are not judging this, what are they judging? Since you are so wise, tell us. What are the saints judging during the thousand years? What books are they examining? We know from scripture one of them is the book of life, in relation to those whose names are not in it. Certainly God does not need to know anything regarding these books. so who does need to know something, and why are they being examined by the saints? Tell us.

17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. 18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. 19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. 20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. 21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. 22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. 23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them. 24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord. Isaiah 65:17-25 (KJV)

The above events take place in the new heaven and the new earth as the scriptures clearly point out. The new heaven and the new earth do not exist until after the thousand years, as scripture clearly points out in the book of Revelation which is the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The events of Zach. 14:16 will also take place after the thousand years which is when Gog and Magog from the four corners of the earth encompass the city and are devoured with fire from God out of heaven. Just as those of Zach. 14:12 are burned.

12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. Zech 14:12 (KJV)

8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. Rev 20:8-9 (KJV)

I have a problem with 'the SAINTS examining the books...why ? haven't they already been saved in the first reurrection ?
I thought the books were opened 'to judge the DEAD (those not yet judged and saved) out of the things written there Rev.20v12.

I have a problem with 'the SAINTS examining the books...why ? haven't they already been saved in the first reurrection ?
I thought the books were opened 'to judge the DEAD (those not yet judged and saved) out of the things written there Rev.20v12.

The books are examined during the thousand years that the saints reign with Christ. The saved are already in heaven with God. There is no second chance, no secret rapture, no thousand years of life on this earth after Christ returns the second time. The saints, the saved, will examine the books in relation to the dead, the wicked, the unsaved. The fate of all who are judged after examining the books is the lake of fire. None of the dead judged in Revelation are saved. Only those in Christ before His second coming are passed from death to life in Him.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.Rev 20:11-15 (KJV)

The judgment of the saved is already over at the above time. They have eternal life with Christ in heaven for a thousand years, and then on earth in the new heaven and new earth. After these things -

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. 9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. Isaiah refers to the thousand year reign a number of times.  It will evidently revert to the way nature was before the Fall:

Isaiah 2:1-4

This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:

In the last days
the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established
    as the highest of the mountains;
it will be exalted above the hills,
    and all nations will stream to it.
Many peoples will come and say,
"Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
    to the temple of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
    so that we may walk in his paths."
The law will go out from Zion,
    the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
He will judge between the nations
    and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
    and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
    nor will they train for war anymore.

Isaiah 11 and 12:

A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
    from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
    the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
    the Spirit of counsel and of might,
    the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—
and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.
He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
    or decide by what he hears with his ears;
but with righteousness he will judge the needy,
    with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.
He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;
    with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.
Righteousness will be his belt
    and faithfulness the sash around his waist.
The wolf will live with the lamb,
    the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling together;
    and a little child will lead them.
The cow will feed with the bear,
    their young will lie down together,
    and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
The infant will play near the cobra's den,
    and the young child will put its hand into the viper's nest.
They will neither harm nor destroy
    on all my holy mountain,
for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord
    as the waters cover the sea.

In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious. In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the Mediterranean.

He will raise a banner for the nations
    and gather the exiles of Israel;
he will assemble the scattered people of Judah
    from the four quarters of the earth.
Ephraim's jealousy will vanish,
    and Judah's enemies[d] will be destroyed;
Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah,
    nor Judah hostile toward Ephraim.
They will swoop down on the slopes of Philistia to the west;
    together they will plunder the people to the east.
They will subdue Edom and Moab,
    and the Ammonites will be subject to them.
The Lord will dry up
    the gulf of the Egyptian sea;
with a scorching wind he will sweep his hand
    over the Euphrates River.
He will break it up into seven streams
    so that anyone can cross over in sandals.
There will be a highway for the remnant of his people
    that is left from Assyria,
as there was for Israel
    when they came up from Egypt.

In that day you will say:

"I will praise you, Lord.
    Although you were angry with me,
your anger has turned away
    and you have comforted me.
Surely God is my salvation;
    I will trust and not be afraid.
The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense[e];
    he has become my salvation."
With joy you will draw water
    from the wells of salvation.
In that day you will say:
"Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
    make known among the nations what he has done,
    and proclaim that his name is exalted.
Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things;
    let this be known to all the world.
Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion,
    for great is the Holy One of Israel among you."

Isaiah 32:

See, a king will reign in righteousness
    and rulers will rule with justice.
Each one will be like a shelter from the wind
    and a refuge from the storm,
like streams of water in the desert
    and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.
Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed,
    and the ears of those who hear will listen.
The fearful heart will know and understand,
    and the stammering tongue will be fluent and clear.
No longer will the fool be called noble
    nor the scoundrel be highly respected.
For fools speak folly,
    their hearts are bent on evil:
They practice ungodliness
    and spread error concerning the Lord;
the hungry they leave empty
    and from the thirsty they withhold water.
Scoundrels use wicked methods,
    they make up evil schemes
to destroy the poor with lies,
    even when the plea of the needy is just.
But the noble make noble plans,
    and by noble deeds they stand.

...The fortress will be abandoned,
    the noisy city deserted;
citadel and watchtower will become a wasteland forever,
    the delight of donkeys, a pasture for flocks,
till the Spirit is poured on us from on high,
    and the desert becomes a fertile field,
    and the fertile field seems like a forest.
The Lord's justice will dwell in the desert,
    his righteousness live in the fertile field.
The fruit of that righteousness will be peace;
    its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.
My people will live in peaceful dwelling places,
    in secure homes,
    in undisturbed places of rest.
Though hail flattens the forest
    and the city is leveled completely,
how blessed you will be,
    sowing your seed by every stream,
    and letting your cattle and donkeys range free.

Isaiah 35:

The desert and the parched land will be glad;
    the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom;
    it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.
The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,
    the splendor of Carmel and Sharon;
they will see the glory of the Lord,
    the splendor of our God.

Strengthen the feeble hands,
    steady the knees that give way;
say to those with fearful hearts,
    "Be strong, do not fear;
your God will come,
    he will come with vengeance;
with divine retribution
    he will come to save you."
Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
    and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
Then will the lame leap like a deer,
    and the mute tongue shout for joy.
Water will gush forth in the wilderness
    and streams in the desert.
The burning sand will become a pool,
    the thirsty ground bubbling springs.
In the haunts where jackals once lay,
    grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.
And a highway will be there;
    it will be called the Way of Holiness;
    it will be for those who walk on that Way.
The unclean will not journey on it;
    wicked fools will not go about on it.
No lion will be there,
    nor any ravenous beast;
    they will not be found there.
But only the redeemed will walk there,
and those the Lord has rescued will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;
    everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
    and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

There is lots more, but is what the Millennium will be like.  Those who don't think it will happen are ignoring an awful lot of the Bible.

    make known among the nations what he has done,
    and proclaim that his name is exalted.
Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things;
    let this be known to all the world.

They practice ungodliness
    and spread error concerning the Lord;
the hungry they leave empty
    and from the thirsty they withhold water.
Scoundrels use wicked methods,
    they make up evil schemes
to destroy the poor with lies,
    even when the plea of the needy is just.
But the noble make noble plans,
    and by noble deeds they stand.

...The fortress will be abandoned,
    the noisy city deserted;
citadel and watchtower will become a wasteland forever,
    the delight of donkeys, a pasture for flocks,
till the Spirit is poured on us from on high,
    and the desert becomes a fertile field,
    and the fertile field seems like a forest.
The Lord's justice will dwell in the desert,
    his righteousness live in the fertile field.
The fruit of that righteousness will be peace;
    its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.
My people will live in peaceful dwelling places,
    in secure homes,
    in undisturbed places of rest.
Though hail flattens the forest
    and the city is leveled completely,
how blessed you will be,
    sowing your seed by every stream,
    and letting your cattle and donkeys range free.

Isaiah 35:

The desert and the parched land will be glad;
    the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom;
    it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.
The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,
    the splendor of Carmel and Sharon;
they will see the glory of the Lord,
    the splendor of our God.

Strengthen the feeble hands,
    steady the knees that give way;
say to those with fearful hearts,
    "Be strong, do not fear;
your God will come,
    he will come with vengeance;
with divine retribution
    he will come to save you."
Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
    and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
Then will the lame leap like a deer,
    and the mute tongue shout for joy.
Water will gush forth in the wilderness
    and streams in the desert.
The burning sand will become a pool,
    the thirsty ground bubbling springs.
In the haunts where jackals once lay,
    grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.
And a highway will be there;
    it will be called the Way of Holiness;
    it will be for those who walk on that Way.
The unclean will not journey on it;
    wicked fools will not go about on it.
No lion will be there,
    nor any ravenous beast;
    they will not be found there.
But only the redeemed will walk there,
and those the Lord has rescued will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;
    everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
    and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

There is lots more, but is what the Millennium will be like.  Those who don't think it will happen are ignoring an awful lot of the Bible.

There is no thousand year period mentioned in any of the above scripture you have supplied. In fact none of the OT prophets spoke of a thousand year period, because this prophetic truth was not revealed to the OT prophets. They did not have the fuller understanding revealed through Christ and His apostles to the new covenant church and Israel. Thus there visions of the future often entail details of the thousand years and beyond. Why try to make their words explain what was not revealed to them, and ignore what Christ plainly stated and taught through the new covenant prophet John. He recorded the testimony of Jesus Christ in the book of Revelation. Why subject the testimony of Jesus Christ to the OT prophets, rather than subject the OT prophets to the testimony of Jesus Christ who hath infinitely greater knowledge than any other human being has ever, or will ever have? This is not properly dividing the word of God, according to knowledge regarding the same.

Jesus Christ is the very center of all scripture. At the very least, all teachings from the same should be compared to His own words regarding any issue before a decision is made. After which, all should be found and fashioned in conformity to His testimony, for there is no greater.

Revelation defines the thousand year period as the time when Christ will rule.  Isaiah may not have known 'a thousand years,' but he certainly knew there would come a time when the Messiah would rule and he prophesied about it in those verses and others.

I understand the convenience of of ignoring much of the information given in the book of Revelation about the thousand year period, when that information doesn't fit what you already believe. This however is not conducive to rightly dividing the word of God. The book of Revelation has an entire chapter revealing details specifically about the thousand years, which exact period it refers to six times. The only times the thousand years are  mentioned in scripture. Don't you think it would be wise to examine the details of the thousand year period, in light of the only place in all scripture that specifically addresses it? To conform ones own thoughts or beliefs to those details, rather than the opinion of others twisting scriptures which are not specifically addressing the same, to their own ends? Anyone truly interested in understanding what takes place during the thousand years, would of course closely examine the only scriptures which actually specifically address the same. Conforming their beliefs to the same, which is only to rightly divide the word of God, and submit ones own thoughts and imaginings to the same.

Amo

The following chapter of the book of Revelation are the only scriptures that are dealing specifically with the thousand year period we are discussing. There is much more revealed concerning this thousand years, than just that Christ rules during this time.

Verses one and two tell us that Satan will be bound during the thousand year period.

Verse three tells us where he will be bound, and that he cannot deceive the nations during the thousand years, but only after that for a little season.

Verse four tells us that those who live and reign with Christ for the thousand years, are those who gave their lives for Jesus and the word of God. This includes those who did not worship the beast or his image. Who did not receive his mark in their foreheads or hands. These things have already transpired before the thousand years begins, for those who reign with Christ during the same have already gained the victory over the same. This directly contradicts the false prophecy of the futurists.

Verses five and six establish that the saved both those who were alive at Christ's return, and those who were resurrected at the same, which verse four just talked about, are alive and will reign with Christ for the thousand years. This is in contrast to the rest of humanity referred to as the rest of the dead in verse five, who were destroyed by the brightness of Christ's coming(2Thes. 2:7&8). Those who are reigning with Christ during the thousand years are those who took part in the first resurrection which occurs at the rapture at the second coming(1Cor. 15, 1Th. 4:13-18). They are alive evermore in Christ. The second death has no power over them, for they have passed from life death to life in Christ(Jn. 5:24).

Verse seven tells us that Satan is released at the end of the thousand years.

Verse eight tells us that he then goes out to deceive the nations once again. The only reason he has nations to deceive again, is because the wicked have been raised in the resurrection of damnation, that judgment might be executed against them(Jn. 5:29, Mk. 16:16, 2Th. 2:12). They are represented as Gog and Magog, the enemies of God's people.

Verse nine tells us that the devil succeeds in deceiving them into surrounding the city of the saints, the New Jerusalem, to take it. But God sends fire down from heaven which devours them. This is the lake of fire as will be revealed in the next few verses. Where all the unsaved die the second death.

Verses 10-15 describe the judgment of the dead or wicked if you will. Those who never passed from death to life in Jesus Christ. All who are judged in this judgment are cast into the lake of fire, for their names are not written in the book of life, in Christ. These things transpire at the end of the thousand years, which the entire 20th chapter of Revelation is about.

All of the many theories about the thousand years, that contradict what is clearly revealed in this chapter which is specifically about them, is false. The book of Revelation is the testimony of Jesus Christ. Those who contradict His testimony in Revelation 20, are false prophets.

I notice you have not answered a few questions presented.

You continue to quote scriptures.....but avoid the following questions.....

Let's give it another try shall we......

How about answering the other questions presented with scriptures;

Isa.65
[20] There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old;

Just when does the above take place?  Do you know?  How does it all fit into the scriptures if no one is one the earth during Christ 1000 year rule?

Also....let's examine your logic in the scriptures you provided in Rev.

You claim the following;

Quote"Verse four tells us that those who live and reign with Christ for the thousand years, are those who gave their lives for Jesus and the word of God. This includes those who did not worship the beast or his image. Who did not receive his mark in their foreheads or hands."

And also.....

Quote"Verses five and six establish that the saved both those who were alive at Christ's return, and those who were resurrected at the same, which verse four just talked about, are alive and will reign with Christ for the thousand years. This is in contrast to the rest of humanity referred to as the rest of the dead in verse five, who were destroyed by the brightness of Christ's coming..."

So.....according to your logic the ONLY flesh and blood people that are alive AFTER Satan is bound for 1000 yeras are those that were blessed to be part of the first resurrection and are reigning with Christ.  The "...rest of humanity...", as you claim have been, "...destroyed by the brightness of Christ's coming...".

Again....if this is correct then at what point will the following scriptures take place......

Rev.2
[26] And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
[27] And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

Now the 'he' spoken of above are all those those that overcame and to whom Jesus gives power.....

Now just WHAT nations will be around to rule over if as you claim, "...the rest of humanity....were destroyed by the brightness of Christ's coming."

Also.....what about the REST of the scriptures that was presented by those that have replied to this post?  Just when will the following take place, just to name a few;

From Helen:

In the last days
the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established
    as the highest of the mountains;
it will be exalted above the hills,
    and all nations will stream to it.
Many peoples will come and say,
"Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
    to the temple of the God of Jacob.

From Beta:

Rev.20v8 and 9 says that satan will go out and deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth....
where do these nations suddenly come from ?

And from myself:

Isa.65
[25] The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

Just when do all of these scriptures fit into "your" view of the scriptures?

Just WHAT is happing in the universe during the time Satan is bound for 1000 years?

.

Actually, I already answered the above, perhaps you missed it. If you will read your first verse from Isa. In context you will notice that these things transpire in the new heaven and new earth. Which places only exist after the thousand years according to scripture.

As I have already stated, neither Zechariah or any other old or new covenant prophet save John alone, ever specifically address the thousand year period we are discussing. If indeed Zechariah is specifically speaking about this period in chapter 14, which we simply cannot know, then what shall we do with the contradictions existing between his account, and Johns account which is the testimony of Jesus Christ Himself? Without question, Revelation chapter 20 is specifically about the thousand years. We do not know this about Zech. 14. So why choose to believe it is specifically about the thousand year period which is mentioned only in the 20th chapter of Revelation, thus creating biblical contradictions?

What good sense does it make concerning rightly dividing the word of God, to insist Zechariah was prophesying about the thousand years which he does not specify, when doing so makes the bible contradict itself concerning the testimony of Jesus Christ specifically addressing the thousand years? The answer is none. It makes no good sense at all. Apart from this, there are some striking similarities between Zechariah and the book of Revelation that should not go unnoticed.

Zech 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. (KJV)

Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. (KJV)

Zech 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. 6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. 8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. (KJV)

Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,.................................................

Rev 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

(KJV)

Rev 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. (KJV)

Zech 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. 10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses. 11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited. (KJV)

Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. 22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. (KJV)

Zech 14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

(KJV)

Zech 14:13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. (KJV)

Rev 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. 18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. (KJV)

QuoteAlso....let's examine your logic in the scriptures you provided in Rev.

You claim the following;

Quote
"Verse four tells us that those who live and reign with Christ for the thousand years, are those who gave their lives for Jesus and the word of God. This includes those who did not worship the beast or his image. Who did not receive his mark in their foreheads or hands."

And also.....

Quote
"Verses five and six establish that the saved both those who were alive at Christ's return, and those who were resurrected at the same, which verse four just talked about, are alive and will reign with Christ for the thousand years.

No, this is not what I claim, this is what scripture plainly states -

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thess 2:7-12 (KJV)

Matt 13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Matt 13:49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, 50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Matt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Matt 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:..........
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Rev 14:14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. 17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. 19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

Matt 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

The wicked will die twice, thus the second death. The wicked who are alive at Christ's return will die then, and again in the lake of fire, which is the second death. The bible states no where, that any but the saved live after Christ's return. This idea must be presumed upon certain, mostly OT scriptures, by those with preconceived ideas regarding the same unto their own understanding. There is no secret rapture, and the wicked do not survive Christ's visible, every eye shall see Him, second coming.

QuoteAgain....if this is correct then at what point will the following scriptures take place......

Why do you insist that the nations being ruled over, have to be during the thousand years? Do you think there will be no nations after that? If so, why? The following verses concerning what will transpire after the thousand years, do not support your misunderstanding.

Rev 21:24-27 (KJV)

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Rev 22:2 (KJV)

QuoteAlso.....what about the REST of the scriptures that was presented by those that have replied to this post?  Just when will the following take place, just to name a few;

You keep saying I haven't addressed things which I have already addressed. If you are going to continue to ignore my answers, I don't suppose there will be any reason to continue giving them to you.

QuoteFrom Helen:

In the last days
the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established
    as the highest of the mountains;
it will be exalted above the hills,
    and all nations will stream to it.
Many peoples will come and say,
"Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
    to the temple of the God of Jacob.

I already addressed that above and other verses supplied by Helen. As already stated, none of these verses or any other of the bible save Revelation 20, claim to be regarding the thousand years we are discussing. I am not the one saying these verses have to apply to the thousand year period, you are. Therefore, the burden of explaining the contradictions between what you say is the thousand year period, and what Christ says regarding the same in Rev. 20, is upon yourself, not me.

You may choose to believe whatever you wish. Don't blame me though, for the contradictions what you choose to believe may cause. Again, what is it about the above verses from Helen, that makes you think they must transpire during the thousand years, instead of after them.

Rev 21:24-27 (KJV)

QuoteFrom Beta:

Rev.20v8 and 9 says that satan will go out and deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth....
where do these nations suddenly come from ?

I already answered this question. Jesus clearly taught that both the righteous and the wicked would be resurrected(Jn. 5:29). We know the resurrection of the saved unto life is before the thousand years, for the saints are in heaven with Christ during the thousand years. The only clue we have as to when the resurrection of damnation takes place though, is in Rev. 20. Suddenly the wicked appear on the scene after the thousand years to face judgment and the second death in the lake of fire. Obviously at this point they have been resurrected in the resurrection of damnation, to face the same in the lake of fire.

QuoteAnd from myself:

Isa.65
[25] The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

This is the third time you are asking me to address these verses which I have addressed twice already. Go back and read my other responses and address my points if you wish, but I will not answer the same answer to the same questions again.

QuoteJust when do all of these scriptures fit into "your" view of the scriptures?

Just WHAT is happing in the universe during the time Satan is bound for 1000 years?

Read Revelation chapter 20 as I have been telling you. It is the only place in all scripture that is specifically addressing the thousand years, and the only reason anyone even knows about it.

<<<Revelation defines the thousand year period as the time when Christ will rule.  Isaiah may not have known 'a thousand years,' but he certainly knew there would come a time when the Messiah would rule and he prophesied about it in those verses and others.>>>

I accept ....

Jesus ruled from that He rose from the dead until today on earth and over all God's creation Ephesians 1:18-24.

It was the Sabbath on the very first day of His Rule.
