Saw this movie back a couple of months ago.  It was good except for one thing that REEEEEEEEELLYYYYYYY bothered me.

I had a basic understanding of orbital mechanics back in grade school and this film just totally ignored that in every possible way. It made it difficult for me to appreciate the rest of the movie.

I guess those who nominate the awards have no clue of orbital mechanics either.

I thought it was terrible.  I resisted the urge to stop watching, as I thought maybe it would get better.

It was pretty weak in my opinion. Plus the fact that it got some awards was a dead give away that it was going to stink.
