I grew up with knowing only how to play baseball.  [sports]

And have , been busy bringing up a family and just drew away from watching.

This year I got started on watching it again.

And I sure do feel like this is  fixed !

How can they do so good and then all of a sudden  act like  ?  clumsy goofs.

Is  it just me ?

I want to feel like they are doing there best.
but a lot of times it looks like they were told what to do and did it !

Hmmm.  I am from a line of rebels.  My gradad was a minor league Baseball player.  My dad was a coach and manager of little league and highschool league summer baseball.  And the denomination they grew up in (Wesleyan Methodist) precluded all sports as sinful expressions of the flesh.

They must have come to that conclusion after getting drilled all season in church league softball.

I am referring to the  big time players.

Like  Detroit  Tigers,   Red socks,  Cubs, Cardinals, etc.........

watching softball and  the  school games is different  ..?

Mere Nick

Right.  I was referring to DaveW's family being in an outfit that considered sports sinful.

Our sons also played   in school !
And when they got out of school they did coach at  the school !

But I was talking about the major  teams.   I just cant believe  it not phony.
How they can make so many errors , after doing so well ?  Not believable ..........

Things were looking up this year and much progress was made, but team building needs to carry over from season to season. In the past we have seen hope that ended at the end of that season and the rebuilding process start all over again next season.

It's been over 20 years since our back to back World series wins, far too long  ::cryingtears:: .

Detroit Tigers............

My granddad Waggoner played in one of the Tigers' farm teams.  Dad was a HUGE Tigers fan.

Me - I have chosen the path of suffering and humiliation.  I am a Cubs fan .....

So like we say "Next Year in Jerusalem" at the end of the Passover Seder; I say "Next Year in Chicago" at the end of the World Series.

Maybe - Could be ?

I am not a expert player of BaseBall  but I love to watch this game on tv and playground. It is very exciting game and keep you involved whole the time in game not as boring and dull as hokey..

Since we moved (Dec.) in with our son and his family.)
We have our TV in the bedroom , so I have to now watch all sports.
I enjoy hockey , but cant follow the little puck were it is at most of the time.
And basketball I like  also and can understand and see the ball more then the
game of hockey

Our son does not allow the children to watch TV or use the computer unless its something
he needs.
TV programs there are some good ones  "only thing the commercials are really no good "
So they use ours once in a while.   Since they have none..
