Father Benedict Groeshel Dies

[Ladonia]

One of my favorite teachers, Father Benedict Groeshel died today.  One of the founders of the Franciscan Fathers of the Renewal, an order primarily based in poor urban areas, Father Groeshel was certainly a joy to listen to. He appeared for many years on EWTN teaching the faith with great insight and wit. I can hear him now saying "only in New York" as he told the story of himself officiating at a Jewish burial alongside an Evangelical minister. You will be missed.

[Paulus]

Eternal rest grant to him O Lord , and let perpetual light shine upon him .
May he rest in peace .
