Hello everyone.  I am new to your forum.  I have read the rules and my only problem will be spelling, I am a terrible speller.   ::giggle::

As I am sure you can tell, I am a teacher.  I have been deepening my walk with God lately and have decided that I need a forum of like minded people to continue to grow.  Thank you for letting me join.

Pre-K does not have much to do with spelling.

I dont know, my son was reading simple books at 4, reading well at 5, and writing loads of words at 5 also.

I can teach anywhere up to 6th grade.  I had a professor in college who said that the smartest people could not spell.  So I do not feel too bad about it.

That was me as well.

But I am talking about what is covered in public school at the kindergarden level.

Hi welcome! I'm new too! I saw your username is LovetoTeach. Are you a teacher? If so what grade do you teach? Right now I'm going towards getting my Bachelor's in Kindergarten teaching. Do you have any tips for me for passing the Praxis Core test? I was just wandering. Thanks!

LoveToTeach

I promise that my spelling on message boards does not affect my students in any way.  It is far too late to change careers now anyway.   ::noworries::

As for the Praxis- my advice is to take the practice tests.  Also, if you can get a study guide, get one and use it.  It was an all day test for me, but it could vary depending on what state you are in.

HannahJoy773

Oh ok! I'll have to check it out. My state says we have to take all 3 tests which are: Reading, Math, and writing. I'm looking forward to the Reading and Writing but not the Math. Be praying for me that I do good on math. I sent in my papers to ETS to get me help for my disabilities but I did not get the extra accommodations that I needed. I have been having a hard time finishing my tests on time because I did not get these. I sent in my disabilities papers more than 3 times and they did not accept it. ::shrug::I feel like it's the devil because God is leading me towards missionary work(God told me when I was 15 He was going to send me out to Africa to be a missionary). Please pray for me that I get the right test I will pass and help for my disabilities. It's really frustrating.

Welcome LoveToTeach. It's good that a nurturer of our children is also a lover of God.
Continued success in your profession, and blessings to you.
