Quoting someone's post

[Beta]

The quote facility on either option does not appear to be working for me. Is this a general problem or if only restricted to me - can anyone offer advice on how to restore my quote button? Thanks.

The quote button is not working properly for most users right now. I don't know what the problem is, but here is a work around: Right click on the quote button and choose 'Open in new tab' or 'Open in new window.' That seems to work for most people.

Thank you Nevertheless,
MeMyself has kindly given me the same advice on 'Computer Assistance' and it works !
It seems the little 'tick' on the 'Quote box' is missing, causing it's malfunction.

What's a "tick"? This is what the link looks like to me. Is yours different?

My 'computer language leaves a lot to be desired , I agree , plus I have poor vision.
So the quote 'box' is not 'ticked now like the other boxes still are (and are working as normal)  but I'm sure it used to be in the past. You notice nothing different ? It is the absence of that little yellow mark through the top right hand corner that renders the quote button ineffective.
Anyhow , the new alternative seems to be working.
