It is a mistaken idea that the church was about influenceing world governments for the greater good of the world.

This was not what Jesus church was to be about. The world is for the most part is antichrist. That is to not recognize Christ as represented of the world ambitions to the good or evil in the world. Satan is prince of this world and will be until Jesus comes. The church is not the worlds salvation but the church is comprised of those who have been saved out of the world. The church primary purpose as lights to this dark world is a to be a beacon for the lost that are of the world and its influences of sin.  We are not making the world better but it is ever falling into judgment. Not even the worlds political leaders or church leaders will ever change this but Christ only.

Pope Francis is wrong about that Christians have a duty to influence government for anything. All government will be judge along with the unbelieaving world. Babylon The great is fallen is fallen.

You are wrong in so many ways.    We can absolutely steal the world away from the devil and for Jesus.  We do so with every Christian person, who is rescued from the devil by the grace of God.  We do it when we bless items and consecrate buildings.  Satan may be the prince of the world; that doesn't mean that we have to be subjects of his and suffer under his oppressive evil plan.

"The gates of hell shall not prevail against (the Church)" doesn't only mean that the Church will last until the end.  It means that the Church will beat down those gates, through the power of Jesus Christ, and bring the kingdom here and now.

Pope Francis is not the only one saying that Christians have a duty to influence government.  That is the 2000 year teaching of the Catholic Church.

You can hide in your Mike-Clees hole and twiddle your thumbs while oppressive laws allow people to murder millions of babies, allow filth in our media to lead people to hell, and lock people into false marriages between two people of the same sex, but all that means, Mike is that you have surrendered to the devil's design.

I am a member of the Church militant, and we bring the kingdom.  That is the true gospel.  Your way is one which doesn't bring the kingdom, and that is exactly how the Jews failed.  They circled their wagons and had their own little society.  Jesus calls us to work with him to make the whole world His.

The church will not beat down anything. True that Satan will not destroy the church of the living God but that is not represented in the Vatican or the RCC

It is the world and the false church that wants a political messiah

What on earth are you talking about?

Truly you are caught up in some man centered egocentrism.  This is not Bible and you it . The earthly RCC is then teaching a gross error and false gospel. Tantamount of a false prophet.

Talking with you is tiring Mike.  You know all about egocentrism.  Your whole personal religion is based on you and your opinions.  It's frankly not worth my time to continue this conversation.

And now you have falsely accused ME of falsely accusing you.  You're not doing that great, Mike. Plus you have induced skeeter to say that I have a double standard, which certainly banks on your suggestion that I was slandering you.

What a mess Mike.
absolutely not. He has nothing to do with my post.
