Parsha: "VaYechi" (He lived)

GEN: 47:28-50:26 ,       1 KINGS 2:1-12,            1 PETER 1:3-9

The parsha starts out stating that Jacob lived in Egypt seventeen years, and now it comes time for him to die. Now here's something to ponder. Yosef was 17 years when he was sold as a slave by his brethren, and Jacob lived 17 years in Egypt under the protection of Yosef. So, Jacob cared for Yosef for 17 years, and in the end, Yosef cares for father Jacob for 17 years. Many times, now-a-days, sons and daughters will throw mom and pop in an old folks home, do they forget that mom and pop cared for them for "x" amount of years? do they not deserve better?

Father Jacob tells his sons what will befall them in the future. No doubt that the Ruach Ha Kodesh speaks to father Jacob and reveals things that will happen to his sons. Well, what goes around, comes around. Reuben gets his! he deceived his father, slept with his concubine, and so, he lost his right as first born, Jacob reminds Simeon and Levi of their violence, and so on, but what I want to concentrate on is "Judah" from where the word "Jew" stems from. It's meaning is "praise" "Y'hudah" if we look at the Hebrew letters, we have the name YHVH plus the "d" (dalet) which can symbolize "door" YHV + D + H, so, the door that opens to worship YHVH is praise!.

The scepter will not depart from Judah! which means there will always be a king on the throne, Yeshua, is in the line of Y'hudah! Y'hudah is symbolized by a lion. from where we get "the lion of Judah" which is one of the titles of Mashiach, He will return as a LION with a roar and will devour his enemies, but he came FIRST as a "lamb to the slaughter" to die for our sins, first a Lamb, next will be the Lion

.....until SHILOH comes.....the meaning of "Shiloh?" many believe it is "Yeshua" We must look at this word from a "Sod" perspective, a hidden meaning, using Hebrew Gematria, the number of the word "Shiloh' (Shin, yod, lamed, hey) SH Y L H

One could say, using the letters, "behold, the one who created all things, and teaches us all things, will tear apart with his teeth, like a lion, his enemies" (one way of looking at it) but when we add up the numeric values we get 345.

3 = something complete, whole, entire, like length, width, height, we have "Elohim" who is 1+1+1=1 (yet three) of which Yeshua is part. Three things give testimony, The Spirit, the Blood, and the Water (I John 5:7)

4 = the number creation, the world was created by Elohim have 4 parts, the North, South, East, and West. Yeshua will receive worship from all living things of HIS creation, being "4" things (blessing, honor, glory, and power/dominion

5= the number for "grace" we have 5 things related to YHVH The Father, The Son, The Spirit, Creation, and Redemption. Elohim created everything perfect, man sinned, and the need for redemption came into being, through YESHUA

Could "Shiloh" be anything or anyone else?

1 KINGS 2:1-12

Another person was about to die, King David, and he also gave advise to his son Shlomo (Solomon) "show yourself a man" how? Walk in the Ways of YHVH keeping his commandments (mitzvoth) So now we have it. To be a real man is to follow the LORD , and keep a Torah/holy lifestyle, follow his WORD and put his WORD into action. But being a man has other meaning today according to the world; be "macho" get as many women as you can get, be physically strong, drink a lot, be rough, tough, and rugged! oh how far has the world gone astray from the real meaning of "being a man"

1 PETER 1:3-9

The apostol Kefa (Peter) speaks to those who did not know Yeshua in person, but that whoever that would believe in HIM, and trust HIM, would receive such a blessed reward, a "living hope" through being "born again" receiving YESHUAH (salvation) that is the living hope, we may have to wait awhile, but it's there, awaiting us, eternal life, our heavenly mansions, the New Jerusalem, the hopes of Jacob, of David, and all who have gone before us, they are already there, and will welcome us when we arrive.
