Resident atheist here. I saw in the rules that it is considered a religion. That's new but OK.
Here to see how the other side lives and discuss faith and not so much. Take care.

I just want to comment, nice name. Trying to picture it and it's kind of creepy lol

Its definitely a religious and uptight website here, so be ready for that, but there's a few here that's cool and will speak to you as a person.

Why is a ginger rabbit kind of creepy? Do a Googlie for, ginger rabbit. The first bunny in the images bar looks just like my little girl and that's why I named myself ginger rabbit. Rabbits are great companions.

Uptight how? I take it you're a fellow resident atheist?  ::eatingpopcorn: Thanks for the welcome. I hope to make friends here.

If you are atheist too what brings you here? Where are you at? I'm in Canada. If you're not atheist just ignore that question.

P.S. Hey, when does this Verification thing end? I have to Googlie part of that second question just to get the word to insert as the answer so I can post here.   ::headscratch::

Passion For Grace

Hey!

I had a rabbit when I was little. It actually got along really well with my cat. They used to chase each other around the house, and then cuddle up and nap.

I hope you enjoy it here! I'm new too, so... I probably don't have too much more valuable to offer.

Cool. I was thinking of getting a companion for her. I was wondering about a kitten and how they'd get on. She needs a friend that is on her level as far as animal. I was thinking of getting another rabbit girl but the kitten thing sounds fun.

Was yours litter trained? Mine took to that really well. I have a large cat pan that I put down with a box over it with some horizontal cuts in the cardboard for venting. There's a little flap door too.She likes the privacy.  ::giggle::

Are you a member of House Rabbit Society?

Thanks for the welcome. Hi to you too newbie.  ::wave::

I actually thought of a red hair rabbit with very red lips puckered up lol.

Nah, I'm one that follows the Lord, but I'm not religious.

Canada eh? Sweet! I'm moving to Michigan in a few months so I'll be close.

Yes, you had it right mate. That's creepy.  ::eek::
I'll have to wash my eyes out before looking at my own real rabbit, thank you very much.  ::noworries::

How do you follow your Lord without being religious?

I like Michigan. I know people who work in Mackinac.
Where are you moving from? Do you like the cold? That's a big plus if you live there. Or here for that matter.

I'm looking to move to west coast of Canada next year.

By the by, I see all these forums here that are for Christian this or that. Since atheism is deemed a religion here are we allowed in those areas? I'm asking before I give a look-see to the rules again.

I'm seeing Bugs Bunny in drag.

Welcome to the forum Ginger.

LexKnight

I'm moving to metro Detroit area from southeast Texas, pretty radical eh? I'm alright with cold as long as I'm adequately prepared. I rarely am in Texas cuz... It's Texas!

Without being religious... You know how Christians have their traditions of church services and choir and bible studies and all that? I don't do it. It's not because I'm a rebel... Well you can call me a rebel with a cause lol but...

Family guy church: http://youtu.be/7omtcub7-78

That video, that's a good example of religion, and it's just silly to me. My God is essentially my dad, I live life and enjoy it, but I trust His judgment and wisdom, and naturally blessings follow when you walk the way He'd want you to. I feel inadequate in my words here...

I guess I should explain it this way. The Lord is not so concerned with religious traditions like church services and prayer meetings and even soapbox preaching (sometimes people do those things against His Will), as much as He is about inner character and living in honesty, integrity, sincerity, and confidence. It goes a lot deeper than that, but I think it's a good sum of it. I haven't been to a church service since... Maybe 3 years?

And FYI, I'm ginger myself *thumbs up*

Stellar video!
I like your explanation of how you see God.

Moving from Texas to Detroit area is a huge switch. I know what you mean about Texas. I have friends who live in both Dallas and Houston.
I certainly prefer the heat to cold weather any day. But when I run around playing volleyball on a July evening and I don't stir a breeze I'm not happy. I've never felt dry radiant heat like that before nor since. Now my Texas friends visit me.

Not to mention the Gulf Coast humidity! Hard snow is a jerk, but I actually love snow angels and snowball fights, that and the idea I can make a snowman then shoot it with an air rifle! My brother in law lived up north before, Montana I believe, and he tells me up there is cold but it isn't a miserable cold, whereas in Texas it is. He couldn't explain why but it's a big difference to him. At least up there they're used to it so winter clothing and accessories are plentiful up there, not like here...

With that said, welcome to the website. I'm Lex, a typical Joe here. I'd caution you about this site but... you already hold to the idea of skepticism (atheism 101), and probably am closer to how I see things.

Well, enjoy your relocation time in Michigan.
I'd like to see Montana personally rather than just the pictures I find on the net. Gorgeous state from what I've seen. That and Arizona for the Grand Canyon experience. That's the one thing I miss in visiting my friends in Texas. We didn't get to take it that far.

It's a shame the warnings that come for an atheist visiting this site. Imagine if the teacher Jesus had been so inclined as to  what is implied about Christ-like attitudes toward atheists here. On second thought, don't.  ::eek::
