QuoteIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Yes His word was always with Him just as ours is always with Us, but the bible wasnt.

Just as Jesus said, teh scriptures point to Him, than we are supposed to go to Him, but so few make it. Do you have Christ would He not be a better teacher, or has teh Bible got something that He has not.

The bible did its Job, just like a gps usually gets someone to their destination, yet there have being instances where they have got bogged in fields even driven into rivers, but usually when they reach their destination they get out and do what needs to be done, but christians never seem to reach  that destination , Christ, that the bible is supposed to lead them to, and if they do instead of Going to Christ they remain with their heads buried in the bible and miss out on the best things He has to offer.

Real shame.

Narrow is the way that leads to life,

I am the way,

or My sheep Hear my voice

I guess many are just not listening or dont know His voice.

In all His Love

You presume too much...truly you do.

You presume that God speaks to everyone JUST like He speaks to you and you presume that if they say not, that they don't belong to him, don't know His voice or are not listening.

He speaks to millions through His written Word.

Dont you realise how powerful the word is and that God often speaks to us through the Bible? He has done that with me many times. Also all that God says to us will be in agreement with the Bible, so we can know that its Him. There are many voices trying to lead us astray, so we need the Bible to keep us on track.

Jean74

Only Christ is the true teacher. Teacher of all Teachers. As the Savior, Christ, and Lord. One and only Begotten Son of Christ. Not all teachers meaning earthly get it right all the time. Bear in mind.

::amen!::

He is our helper!  He knows just the right tool for each of us...and no one has the right to act as if He isn't doing His job, or the one He is helping isn't truly listening, or His or whatever, when He chooses to use the written Word to do so!

So when people like Charles Taze Russell, Ellen White, Joseph Smith, David Koresh, etc, come forward and tell us that they were inspired by the spirit to begin their extra biblical religions, are we to take heed to their claims?
