I married my wife in 2009 tru the state had to kids and where living life in a worldly manner. But it wasn't until recently that we both gave our life to The Lord and starting going to church, read the bible more and we both have change to we're we love each other more because of Christ. We submit to each other and we hate sin cuz jesus hates sin. My question is we don't want to compromise and we stop having sex because we feel convicted that we're not married tru the church only state license. We fall at times and feel bad and convicted. Are we sinning if we have sexual relationships because we're not marred tru the church? Or we're are ok tru the state? The end goal is to marry tru the church eventually but the require months of classes guides. What donu guys think? Thank you and my god bless you

If you are legally married then you are married. You dont need to marry again because you are already married. God was there just as He is everywhere and He heard your make your vows. Dont let anyone tell you you arent married just because the service didnt take place in a  church building. There is nothing magical about a building. You have been married for 6 years you dont need pre marriages classes.

How precious that your heart is to please the Lord. If you said your wedding vows and dedicated your lives to each other you entered into a covenant and God blessed you union. You are married in the eyes of God. Now enjoy all the benefits of marriage and model the gospel through your marriage. blessings

So God tell us to obey the laws of the land and then you tell someone they can ignore them? They are not married unless they are legally married according to the laws of the country.
