I came to realize that being scared and alone is one of the worst feelings I have ever felt. Coming from a loner that loved to be alone but also having to deal with being alone with no one on my side but not really caring. I was always so used to it I spent the last few years of my life meeting the wrong people. Being christian I always wondered why it seems that I try to be the best person that I can be but seem to get the opposite. I want something real. I would love to have a strong godly man in my life that can definitely keep me encouraged and we can walk together in the faith. I would love to have someone console me when I am afraid and makes me feel safe and protected when I am with them. I would so love to have to have a Christian relationship. So there I said it. finally got that off my chest lol.

Good for you ::smile::

Its perfectly normal and natural to want someone to be married to and to have a family with.

What I usually say to people though is that the man of your dreams isnt going to turn up on your door step. So you need to go to places where people are, to give you the opportunity to meet people and make friends.
Do you have a good church? Do you do things where you may meet Christian men? Have you tried Christian internet dating/friendship sites? I know 8 Christian couples who met that way. Speed dating(ok not everyone's cup of tea but popular none the less).

Just a thought on what you said. You said what you want and need from a marriage, but its also about what we can do for the other person and meeting their needs as well.

I am so late with this response I apologize. I agree with what you are saying. I was never the type to makes steps to date lol. I kind of just let things happen unexpected and over  time. I am very focused now on finding a new church home that I am comfortable with. But of course I am  human and I get lonely sometimes. And also I am heading  to my 30's so I guess I'm growing up. I tried the online dating thing before and it actually worked out better than I thought. We however are not together today. Are there any Christian dating sites that you suggest? I just think that it would be really nice to meet a great christian guy or at least church going for the right reasons. But I also know that if God does not want me with  anyone and wants me single then that's how i will stay. I am definitely trying to develop a much closer relationship with God. I know that most definitely has to come first.

Chosenone is right..

Put yourself at the center of Gods will.  The fear and loneliness will melt away.

Study His word for strength.  here's a great devotional that I use: http://www.crosswalk.com/devotionals/desert/

Go to His house for worship, fellowship, and serving. (Get involved in your local church)

He will provide.  He always does.

Usually in a way that's purposely not what you think, but in your heart, what you really need.

I'm just 20 and I find myself in the same situation  ::frustrated::

Yes, put yourself in the center of God's will.

He may not provide an answer you are seeking, and He may keep you single and alone all your life.

There may not be someone physical to console you and make you feel safe, but if God has your back you will feel secure. For whatever happens in your life , you are part of God's plan.

You sound so much like myself all my life.... but I rest content at my age of 68... knowing God has my back and He has provided much necessary solace .

Have you been in that situation?  I bet not. It is so easy to say go to church and do this and that and you won't feel lone and Alone.

I was church leader, a youth leader. I devoted my time in my whole 20s in church believing God will take care of my deeoest need amd desire. But after 13 yrs, I'm still alone. The worst part is when you are lonely or afraid or wanting someone to comfort you and there is nothing.

I worked all day abd night just to keeo my busy but at the end of the day loneliness finds me and haunts me. It's so awful you just want to ask God to take you home.
