My posts are now being moderated and must be approved by a moderator before being posted. How long will this be in force?

Thanks

k-pappy

Typically a month for the first time, but it really depends on how you interact during that time.

Jean74

I try to interact at least three or four times a month. It is all about interaction.

I guess it depends on which moderator is nice enough to grant you an "upgrade".
My first warning took 4 months to be withdrawn, the second and third warning took more than a year! (18 months and 14 months respectively).
I am left with a few points. Guess someone will have a look at those in 2017.

Let us have a month of Jubilee and clean all! I still may have some against me, I do not know, I do not even look. Jubilee to my brother  AVZ.

As I said, Typically a month for the first time, but it really depends on how you interact during that time.

However, there are a lot of factors that come into play.

Multiple offenses can string out the amount of time a user is moderated or kept on the moderator watch list.

We also look at whether a user has been warned by a single moderator or by multiple moderators.

Red, I like the idea of a Jubilee Month.  I will bring it up with other moderators.

This forum is the best out there by far.  ALL of the moderators are godly people, firm, yet merciful, which one has to be.  The Chief of Police is a great person. They give all (professing Christians) the freedom to firmly express their convictions as long as it is mixed with mercy and longsuffering . What else can one desire or expect?

I think most of my posts go unread because they are posted so late into the conversation and are a few pages back. Before being moderated,  I received far more responses than I do now. It's like not being involved in the conversation at all. I have considered going to a different forum because of this.

Its a question of when a  moderator is on line and available to moderate. We are all volunteers and have other lives so cant be here all the time.

Of course I absolutely understand. I'm just saying that 'being moderated' doesn't allow for much motivation to participate in the forum.

His Kid

I just got another warning about a rule violation and I don't see where I violated it. Can you show me?

There should be a PM in your inbox with a link to the offending post.

Oh, ok. I guess that's why I was confused because that post doesn't seem to be violating any rule at all. Oh well. I guess that is up to the moderator's discretion.

Nevertheless

I think you can reply to the PM that the warning was in and ask for more information if you'd like to. I didn't issue it, and I haven't read that thread, so I don't really know anything more.

I tried but wasn't able to respond to the PM. It's all good, though. I see what they were tagging.
