So now we have the pope judging presidential candidates. Says building wall is immoral and not Christian.  But we are not in a Christian world and Jesus said we are not to be of the world but waiting for His return. the world is not getting better but more evil with every day. Is the pope now going to be the pastor of Babylon to make the world more moral?

Are any Catholics here getting any inkling yet as to what is happening yet?

I see that you are on the world's side, that what I see.

You might try reading the transcript of the actual interview before you believe everything that the media of Babylon are feeding you.  Because they have the story wrong, wrong, wrong.

Why is Babylon so against actually telling the truth about what the Pope says?  Perhaps because they know that the Pope is opposed to them.

Yes. We see that you are still unable to understand the Catholic Church and it's Bishop. Tell me, is the Pope's concern for those who have gotten dealt some rotten cards by being born in Mexico somehow wrong and un-Christlike?

There is a wall but no border control .

Anyone can walk into the Vatican City.

The Vatican City actually took in a Syrian refugee family. Vatican City has a total population of about 400.

If the USA took in the refugees at the same ratio of population at Vatican City it would take in about several million families.

No, what is your point?  The pope didn't say building walls was unChristian. He said "building walls while not also building bridges" is unChristian. "Building bridges" means considering paths for legal immigration.

To understand what the Pope means by "building bridges" you have to understand it with regard to Catholic social teaching. These aren't physical bridges that he is speaking of.

This from the USCCB:

QuoteCatholic Social Teaching

The Catholic Catechism instructs the faithful that good government has two duties, both of which must be carried out and neither of which can be ignored. The first duty is to welcome the foreigner out of charity and respect for the human person. Persons have the right to immigrate and thus government must accommodate this right to the greatest extent possible, especially financially blessed nations: "The more prosperous nations are obliged, to the extent they are able, to welcome the foreigner in search of the security and the means of livelihood which he cannot find in his country of origin. Public authorities should see to it that the natural right is respected that places a guest under the protection of those who receive him." Catholic Catechism, 2241.

The second duty is to secure one's border and enforce the law for the sake of the common good. Sovereign nations have the right to enforce their laws and all persons must respect the legitimate exercise of this right: "Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants' duties toward their country of adoption. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens." Catholic Catechism, 2241.

Paragraph 1 is about building bridges. Paragraph 2 is about building walls. Together in this country that means legal and not illegal immigration.

It is not just a church, it is a sovereign city state.

The church of Rome doesn't just recommend allowing immigrants to our nation, it is actively involved in facilitating the same. The large numbers of Catholic Congress men women influenced by Rome's will over the will of the peoples of this nation, will not lift a finger to address the immigration problem. Apart from this, Rome is very active in other ways as well.

Illegal immigration plagued the Roman empire during it's downfall. Helping to bring about the same. The rise of the papacies power however, was concurrent to the same. We are simply witnessing a repeat of history on this one. Only this time, the church of Rome is actually facilitating that which she knows from history, will advance her power.

Maybe we should help them elect their next Pope!   ::tippinghat::

Americanism

This heresy which was condemned by Pope Leo XIII is the denial of the influence of the Church's social doctrine in the civil domain. It's ultimate consequence is the denial of the rights of God and the supernatural order.  It is a denial of the supernatural order established by God. This heresy is called "Americanism" because Pope Leo XIII wrote his encyclical (Testem Benevolentiae Nostrae) to   Cardinal James Gibbons, condemning the false notion of Catholicism that he was working to establish in the newly founded continent of America which was founded by non-Catholics. This meant that Cardinal Gibbons and a number of other prelates tried to compromise with the false principles as were enshrined in the American constitution.  Americanism it is not a condemnation of America as such but a condemnation of the false notions as introduced into the faith by means of the American prelates. It is more than ever important to remove the blind fold in this regard since many Catholics while claiming to be Catholics are not Catholic but "Americanists" who deny the influence of Christ and His Church in the social sphere. For this reason Americanism leads to the Public denial of Christ the King and ultimately to the destruction of society since there can never be a true peace without Christ, the Prince of Peace.

To the contrary, there is the freedom God has allowed for even apart from Himself. Though those who choose such shall perish in that freedom. Still, they have that choice. Nor is Rome's vision of Christ's order, my or many other Christians vision of that same order. Nor did Christ or any of His apostles ever instruct the church of Rome or anyone else to establish His order by the governing bodies of this world. Such is verily anti-christ.

It's amazing how many evangelicals are flocking to his banner. His Christianity seems to be newfound, just like his conservative viewpoints. There is more than enough evidence out there that Trump has had many liberal viewpoints. He is as slick as they come and many people who should know better are falling for his brand of snake oil.

Nope, just the pope, an office of charlatans.

The Bishop of the Universal Christian Church is not an office of charlatans, it is very biblical. You have heard about the office of Bishop, right?

Bishop is in God's Word.  Pope is not.

We don't tell the Pope how to run the Vatican.

He doesn't need to influence our elections.

Maybe we should help them elect their next Pope!   ::tippinghat::

You have Obama telling Britain how to run our country though and trying to influence our elections.

Perhaps you should also tell Obama to keep his nose out of our concerns.

we'd like him to keep his nose out of our business too.  and that of Israel.  he thinks he knows what's best for everyone.  we'd be happy if he'd just go golf for the next 10 months.

Trump is just as much a divisive, nasty, foul mouthed bully as Obama is.

and  his face - can't imagine looking at it for 4 yrs.  he reminds me of grumpy cat.  I've even dialed back Fox because of him.  you'd think they were his own personal pr channel.

Pope means "Papa" or Father, and the Scriptures refer numerous times to our earthly religious leaders being called father, starting with Abraham who according to St. Paul's letter to the Romans (4:16) is "the Father of us all".

and I chuckled at Trump saying it was disgraceful for the pope to question someone's religion/faith, then he turned around and did exactly that to Cruz.

Thats what narcissists do.  They are offended that someone would say they are less than wonderful and perfect, and then turn around and accuse others of being exactly what they are.  ::noworries::  Its funny, except so many are buying what he is selling....now, its just scary.  ::hiding::
