How to be More Loving to your Partner

How can you be more loving to your partner? Like I watch the TV show Teen Mom 2, those girls in their 20s and so are their Boyfriends or Husbands. One of the Teen Mom's has a fiance and when their time is shown, they are all lovey dovey, holding hands, cuddling, saying "I love you" etc. So how can you be more lovey like they are with your partner?

First, you need to realize that what you see on TV is not real. The situations are manufactured and the people are actors playing a part. They may be professionals or amateurs, talented or hacks, but they are all actors. Do not expect real life to be like a TV show.

Second, you say these people are in their 20s. They are quite young, and romantic attraction is new and exciting. They have energy and enthusiasm. This is good, but it is not lasting. "Lovey dovey" as you call it, is like a candy bar. Delicious! We love candy, but it does not provide the nourishment our bodies need. Adults are expected to understand this, while children often do not.

True love is commitment and sacrifice. True love is a husband holding his wife's hair when she is throwing up, or a wife cooking for her husband's pleasure instead of her own. True love is working together when life is hard.

Invest in true love, and the "lovey dovey" will come with it.

I see. Well those Teen Mom tv shows are real, those girls aren't acting, its like a documentary real life type of show.

There is very little reality in "Reality TV."

Unless they are being filmed without their knowledge, they are acting.

They likely are...reenacting things, at the very least, until the get the best "take".  Also, don't be fooled by editing that happens.  There is very little truth to those shows.

To be more loving doesn't necessarily has to do with showing affection. Sometimes being patient is a way of being loving. Going to the mall with your wife and listening to her and given honest opinions about the things she asks is being loving. When you clean up the mess they made after throwing up like Nevertheless said. What I heard is really bonding is always taking a shower with your spouse. Sometimes it may be sexual but helping them cleaning their body, washing their backs and getting to share at least that special moment together.

I see, well I just don't feel loved enough by my Boyfriend and it hurts me.

My Boyfriend and I sadly broke up, 2 weeks ago and I am doing my best to move on with my life and focus on other things. I know things will get better in my life, it will just take time and patience and I am fine with that. My time will come and all will be well.
