So, I get some info on Medicare as I will be eligible in May of this year. I see that if I opt in on the Plan B part, it will mean about $125 will be taken from my SS payment each month. Part B covers medical expenses, but I still have to pay the first 20%. Well, unless I win the lottery, I won't be able to pay any percent of anything. So, why would I opt in on Part B and cost myself $125 per month of income?

If you don't like to pay then you can refuse it directly. Doesn't have that option for denying?

Yes, I can decline the Plan B coverage; and will.
