                                                                                     HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Proverbs 1:8"... forsake not the law of thy mother;"

When Mother Prayed
When mother prayed! O precious hour
When God would come in mighty power!
O memory sweet! O hallowed place
Where God did shine in mother's face.
When mother prayed, she found sweet rest!
When mother prayed, her soul was blest!
Her heart and mind on Christ were stayed,
And God was there when mother prayed.
When mother prayed! ah, then I knew
Within my soul that God was true;
I could no longer doubt His love,
But yielded all, born from above.
And though the years may come and go,
This heart of mine can never know
A sweeter time than that blest hour
When Jesus came in saving power.
Though other scenes may be forgot,
While life shall last, this one cannot;
When mother prayed! O peace divine!
My mother's God today is mine.

Mothers Day is a hard day, at least for me...some people are very very blessed.

Mothers Day is a hard day, at least for me...some people are very very blessed.

Dear sister, you can make it a wonderful day for your children to remember you and your faith in God when you are long gone. My mother humbled herself during the last days of her short life~she died in May of 1988 at the age of 63. Just before she died I thank her for raising us nine children by herself since my father died in 1955 leaving her with nine children.

I should say, as a mom, I love the day! My kids and dh are always so sweet and kind and good to affirm me.

It's the daughter in me that grieves; as I said, some are very very blessed.
