What exactly is time? Time is a duration. Our clocks mark change, and stand as benchmarks of change, always indicateing the passage of time. When things change, we understand time has passed.

The following verses imply periods of time or dispensations of time, and each point's to a beginning and to the end.

Hosea 3:4-5, "The children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, (from Christ resurrection to this very day, 2017) and without a prince, (Christ is the prince of the kings of the earth) and without a sacrifice (Jesus the Lamb of God)... Afterward (a word of time) shall the children of Israel return, (1948) and seek the LORD their God, (this hasn't happened yet) and David their king = (symbolic of Christ); and shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the Latter days (end times)."

Isa.11:10-16, It shall come to pass (this will happen), the Lord, "shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant (small portion) of His people (the Jews), which shall be left ... and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, (10 tribes) and gather together the dispersed of Judah (2 tribes) from the four corners of the earth (every Gentile nation on earth, 1948 and continuing to this day)."

Amos 9:14-15, "I = (God) will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel (from every Gentile nation), and they shall build the waste cities, (Jerusalem etc.) and inhabit them ...And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more (never again) be pulled up out (uprooted) of their land (Israel) which I (the LORD) have given them, saith the LORD thy God."

Hosea 1:10-11, "The number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, --- and it shall come to pass (future) that in the place where it was said unto them (Israel), You are not my people, there (in Israel) it shall be said unto them, ypu (the Jews) are the sons of the living God. Then (word of time) shall the children of Judah (2 tribes) and the children of Israel (10 tribes) be gathered together (beginning in 1948, a work in progress) and appointed themselves on head." This verse tell you the Jews were never lost.

Rom.11:1,2, 8-12, Paul wrote, "Has God cast (thrown) away (abandoned) His people? God forbid (No, of course not) ... God has not cast away his people which he foreknew (knew before) ... It is written, God hath given them (the Jews) the spirit of slumber, (sleep, not death) eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear (spiritual blindness); unto this day. And David said, let their table be made a snare, and a trap and a stumbling block, and a recompense unto them: Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back (to idols) always. Through their fall salvation is come unto the (beginning with Paul's ministry) Gentiles, so as to provoke them (the Jews) to jealousy. Now if the fall of them (the Jews) be (the) riches of the world (Gentile's) and the diminishing of them (the Jews) the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their (the Jews) fullness (when they are restored)?" The natural Olive tree (Israel) temporally broken off, but one day to be restored, or grafted back into the wild Olive tree (the Christian church).

Choir Loft

Time is the fire in which we burn.

The lake of fire is here and now.  Those condemned to destruction in it will continue in time until they are completely extinguished to nothing.

and that's me, hollering from the choir loft...

LaSpino3

Choir loft: You wrote, "Time is the fire in which we burn."

Who's the we? Are Christian's included in the we?

You wrote, "The lake of fire is here and now."  I suppose you're using "lake of fire as a metaphor, or symbolism. If so what are you saying it represents, that is here and now? This life?

You wrote, "Extinguished to nothing:"

Can you give me a scripture or two to support that statement?

Strictly speaking, an instant in time is a point of reference. Time is actually a whole dimension; one axis of the whole space-time reference frame.

Correct me if I am wrong but are you not using
"Time is actually a whole dimension; one axis of the whole space-time reference frame." as a reference point?
