What should I do about sex?

Since this forum title contains the word "sex" & this is a religious site I feel I can ask this question:
First, I need to lay the foundation for the question and then I will ask for your opinion.

When I grew up I was taught and believed "sex" was for the procreation of children and none other. I had not as of yet been exposed to the modern meaning of sex and believed as stated, sex was for procreation.

Now in my 60's, being a grandfather several times over and my wife is no longer with me; is the desire for intimate contact with the opposite sex for the soul purpose of mutual comfort and not child bearing; a sin-?

As long as its in marriage its not a sin. God made sex for us to enjoy as well as for making babies, and it brings the couple emotionally closer together as well.
Must admit that I was never taught that sex was only for procreation, that is a strict RC idea.

You only have to read song of songs to see that sex is far far more than merely making babies.
We are also told not to deprive our spouse of sex as well, no mention of the age of the couple of if they are still fertile or not.
