Angry at "tempting attack" from an unexpected quarter - and sad "fall"!

All I did was to look at the website of a swimming forum dedicated mainly to freestyle technique/topics.

Expect you've seen before, the adverts that pop-up during entry to various sites.  This site had the usual rectangular window near the top of the screen, in which they usually advertise clothing, holidays, insurance, etc - but on this occasion there was something that I could not make out properly - on peering more closely, I could see that it was an animated cartoon-representation of a man and woman having full-blown sex (the animation making it worse in effect!) - with lettering off to the right saying "Pussy Saga".  The world reduces what is supposed to be a loving action, into a mechanical selfish pleasure-seeking activity without true affection or any responsibility.

I angrily offered up a quick arrow prayer to the Lord to help me not to fall into my besetting sin of "wicked imaginings" - but it was too late!  My idle mind conjured up all sorts of lascivious scenarios - until I came to my senses, confessed my sin - and found the Lord graciously merciful to me -yet again! It's that old conflict between the "flesh" and the Spirit - an ever-present conflict while we are still in this mortal body!

What also angered me, was that I was already in the middle of a "Lent fast" deliberately avoiding any thing that might arouse primitive passions - no perusal of the daily paper which occasionally has snippets of info that can arouse wrong thoughts! It seems that the world and it's louche ways are almost unavoidable.  You can imagine (but on further thought perhaps you had better not!!!) the thoughts of a some impressionable teenager with raging hormones, viewing that website and seeing the "Pussy Saga" muck! (Which I "Googled" out of curiosity - only to find it related to pornographic sites.)
