17 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth…………………….

12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled 18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

The following links and or quotes from the same are in relation to the fulfillment of the biblical prophecy quoted above. Time will tell their significance or not. The following link is to a video concerning the significance of French President Macron’s decision to reunite the Roman Catholic church and the state in Europe.

These events are evidently a major step forward in resurrecting the Holy Roman Empire. Which is exactly what the next link addresses in the giving and receiving of the Charlemagne Prize to Camron. Charlemagne was the king who united Europe into what is considered the Holy Roman Empire which united the Roman Catholic Church and the state. Quotes provided under link.

Emmanuel Macron receives Charlemagne Prize for European unity in Aachen

French President Emmanuel Macron received the Charlemagne Prize in Aachen "in recognition of his vision of a new Europe." In his acceptance speech, Macron described his long-term goals for the European bloc…

The French president called for more unity among member states and warned that the divisions that appeared during the eurozone and migrant crises risked undermining the EU project………………….

"We need an ambitious European budget and a eurozone with its own budget allowing for investments and convergence between member states," he said. "We have to fight for a new and stronger Europe ... Now is the time.”

This is certainly an appropriate prize for a man following the same footsteps as Charlemagne himself in attempting to unify Europe and the Church of Rome once again. The next link addresses a certain particular of these plans to unite the same once again, in relation to a particular of the biblical prophecy quoted in the intro.

Emmanuel Macron’s coalition of the willing

PARIS — Impatient with German foot-dragging on defense, French President Emmanuel Macron will bring together a 10-nation coalition of the willing next month designed to prepare European armed forces to take action together in emergencies, and to bind Britain into military cooperation as it leaves the EU.

Defense ministers of France, the U.K., Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Denmark and Estonia will sign a letter of intent in Paris in June, officials told me, pledging to develop a common strategic culture, share analysis and foresight on trouble spots that may require intervention and work to coordinate their forces for future operations.

Frustrated by the big-tent, low-ambition start to the European Union’s so-called Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) in defense agreed last year at Germany’s insistence, the French leader is pressing ahead with a small core of like-minded nations outside EU and NATO institutional structures.

As is obvious, the number ten is the interesting point in relation to the prophecy being considered. If this coalition lasts and becomes effectively relevant in establishing policy and or law in conjunction with the Church of Rome, then the Holy Roman Empire will be effectively resurrected. This would of course lend credence and power to Babylon’s globalist movement unto the final global beast of Biblical prophecy.

Globalist French President Gets to Work Empowering EU

The ruling establishment in Europe, along with its globalist agent, Rothschild banker and new French President Emmanuel Macron, appear to be absolutely tone deaf to the growing outrage across the continent. Even as the United Kingdom works on seceding from the controversial European Union superstate, and most French people want a vote on whether to even remain under the Brussels-based regime's thumb, Macron is pushing hard to accelerate the EU war on self-government, borders, and nationhood. Other globalist leaders of formerly sovereign EU member states — especially Macron ally and German Chancellor Angela Merkel — are doing the same. But across Europe, the public is getting fed up.

At the top of Macron's to-do list is a push to grant vast new powers to the EU. Among other schemes, the new French president is hoping to impose a “common budget” and a “joint finance minister” on the entire eurozone. Because not all nations ensnared in the EU have succumbed to Brussels' globalist bullying to surrender their own national currencies, Macron also wants to create a “two-tier” EU. Under his vision, those governments that have already had the euro imposed on them would move ahead on surrendering what little self-government remains, while the other governments would catch up later — perhaps after an engineered crisis is used to create some support for the euro in those nations.

As part of the agenda to help the EU usurp even more sovereignty and powers from nations, Macron has agreed to help push through reforms to the treaties that underpin the EU to facilitate “profound reforms” that further strengthen the supranational regime. Indeed, speaking at his inauguration, Macron pledged to “relaunch” Europe, granting vast new powers to the unelected hordes of bureaucrats that now make the bulk of the laws and regulations that govern the formerly independent peoples of Europe.

Among the latest ideas being floated is the creation and selling of “eurobonds,” allowing the EU to raise money by imposing debt on all the peoples of Europe and helping put all European taxpayers on the hook for the wild spending of bloated socialist regimes such as those ruling France and Greece. An EU-imposed migration and asylum policy enforced on all members, presumably perpetuating the tsunami of Islamic immigration from the Middle East and Africa, is also being discussed. That could see migrants forced on nations such as Hungary, Poland, and the Czech Republic, which have fiercely resisted the influx of millions of Third World arrivals flooding into Germany, Sweden, Italy, Greece, and other European countries.

Thus continues the globalist agenda of Rome in putting greater and greater power into the hands of fewer and fewer over the many, the destruction of a free and independent middle class, and the reestablishment of the two class society of the dark ages. The religious and political elite, and the peasants wholly dependent upon the same.

Jesuit-educated Macron favourite to beat Le Pen as Catholic bishops warm to him as next president

On the evening of Emmanuel Macron’s victory in the first round of France’s presidential election, the French bishops’ conferences issued a guidance note for Catholic voters that — while not naming candidates or parties — can only be read as an argument against his second-round opponent Marine Le Pen.

The message recalled the basics of Catholic social teaching and urged Catholics to welcome refugees, respect the environment and support European unity. “Today, the main risk would be to give up fighting for the future and give in to the temptation of fatalism,” it concluded. “Our Christian faith calls us to hope.”

No big surprise here, Catholic Bishops supported a Jesuit candidate, who after election seeks the reunification the Catholic Church and a unified European state. This Jesuit will be a grand addition to promoting the globalist agenda of BABYLON THE GREAT, and establishing the final global beast of biblical prophecy.

The following quotes are from the link above, all emphasis mine.

Quote
Francis visited Amman, Bethlehem and Jerusalem during his three-day trip to the region from 24 to 26 May. The trip was announced during the Sunday Angelus on 5 January 2014.[5][6] Francis arrived in Jordan on 24 May and after meeting with King Abdullah II, celebrated mass at Amman International Stadium.[7] During his trip, Francis prayed at the Israeli West Bank barrier and also visited the Victims of Acts of Terror Memorial with the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.[8] Francis concluded his tour by meeting with Patriarch Bartholomew I to continue inter-faith dialogue with the Orthodox Church.[9]

Pope Francis arrived in Seoul Air Base on 14 August to start his five-day visit to South Korea on the occasion of the Sixth Asian Youth Day.[10] Upon arrival, Francis was greeted by South Korean President Park Geun-hye.[11] Afterwards, Francis held a private meeting with the families of victims of the MV Sewol ferry disaster.[12] He later made a speech in English, his first as Pope. Speaking at the Presidential Office in Seoul he said "I came here thinking of peace and reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula." [13] Francis held the first public mass of his trip on 15 August in front of a 50,000 strong crowd at Daejeon World Cup Stadium where he asked Koreans to "reject inhumane economic models which create new forms of poverty and marginalize workers."[14] He beatified the first generation of 124 Korean Martyrs in Gwangwhamun Square on front of an estimated crowd of 800,000 people on 16 August.[15] Francis concluded his five-day visit with a Mass for peace and reconciliation of the divided Korean peninsula in Seoul's Myeongdong Cathedral.[16]

Pope Francis announced in his Angelus address on 15 June 2014 that he would make a one-day visit to the city of Tirana in Albania. He said: "With this brief visit, I want to confirm the Church of Albania in the faith, and bear witness to my encouragement and love for a country that has suffered for so long in consequence of the ideologies of the past".[17] Security concerns were raised in the days before the visit after Iraqi governmental officials warned they had received intelligence reports suggesting Islamic fundamentalists may be planning an attempt on the Pope's life while in Albania.......................[18]

During his stay, he met Albanian President Bujar Nishani, celebrated mass in Mother Teresa square in Tirana, and met with religious leaders, including those of the Muslim, Orthodox, Bektashi, Jewish and Protestant faiths. He also honored those persecuted under the rule of former communist dictator Enver Hoxha. Some 130 Christian clergy died in detention or were executed during the 1944-1985 dictatorship of Hoxha, who declared Albania the world's first atheist state in 1967. Pictures of some of the priests persecuted or executed during the period were hung in Tirana's main Martyrs of the Nation boulevard ahead of the pope's visit. Albania has since seen a revival of Catholicism partly owing to the popularity of Mother Teresa, who had Albanian origins despite being born in what is now Macedonia.[19]

Pope Francis made a four-hour visit, the shortest made by any pope abroad, to Strasbourg on 25 November 2014, where he addressed the European Parliament and the Council of Europe raising issues such as the dignified treatment of immigrants arriving illegally in Europe and better conditions for workers.[20]

Pope Francis accepted an invitation to visit Turkey at the behest of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in September 2014. This invitation also came from Patriarch Bartholomew I in order to commemorate the feast day of Saint Andrew.[21] Francis arrived at Esenboğa International Airport in Ankara on 28 November where he was met by Turkish dignitaries before he traveled to Anıtkabir, laying a wreath in memory of the Turkish republic's founder, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.[22] Francis then traveled to the Presidential Palace where he met with President Erdoğan and gave a speech urging interfaith dialogue to counter fanaticism and fundamentalism and called for a renewed Middle-East peace push, saying the region had "for too long been a theatre of fratricidal wars".[23] The following day, Francis visited the Blue Mosque in Istanbul where he prayed silently alongside senior Islamic clerics.[24] Francis concluded his visit with a liturgy in the Church of St. George alongside Bartholomew I, asking for his blessing "for me and the Church of Rome" and also urging the re-unification between the two Churches, telling the Orthodox faithful gathered in St George's that "I want to assure each one of you gathered here that, to reach the desired goal of full unity, the Catholic Church does not intend to impose any conditions except that of the shared profession of faith".[25]

In the course of his visit to Ecuador, Pope Francis met President Rafael Correa, visited with priests and seminarians, paid a private visit to a Jesuit priest friend, visited a home for the elderly in Quito and a shrine in the town of El Quinche. His last Mass in Ecuador drew about 1.5 million people.[39] Arriving in Bolivia on 8 July, Pope Francis was received by President Evo Morales at El Alto International Airport near La Paz. In his speech after arrival the pope said among other: "Bolivia is making important steps towards including broad sectors in the country’s economic, social and political life. Your constitution recognizes the rights of individuals, minorities and the natural environment, and provides for institutions to promote them." Later during the meeting in Government palace Morales awarded Pope Francis with the highest Bolivian state decoration, the Grand Cross of the Order of the Condor of the Andes and with the State decoration of Luís Espinal Camps, named after a Jesuit priest and activist known for his commitment to the disadvantaged people of the country, who was murdered by paramilitary forces in March 1980 for his defense of them.

On 19 September 2015 Pope Francis departed aboard an Alitalia A330 (Shepherd One) from Rome's Fiumicino International Airport, to Havana's José Martí International Airport where he arrived to an official Welcoming Ceremony. The next day, he was the principal celebrant at a Papal Mass at the Plaza de la Revolución in Havana at 9:00, before he paid a courtesy visit to the President of the Council of State and of the Council of Ministers of the Republic at Palacio de la Revolución in Havana. His day ended with celebrations of Vespers with priests, men and women religious, and seminarians, at the Cathedral of Havana, and a greeting to the young people of the "Centro Cultural Padre Félix Varela" in Havana during the early evening...........................[52]

On Wednesday, 23 September, the pope met with President Barack Obama at the White House. It was the third visit by a pope to the White House, following meetings between Jimmy Carter and Pope John Paul II in October 1979 and George W. Bush and Pope Benedict XVI in April 2008...........................[53]

On Thursday, 24 September, Pope Francis gave an address to a Joint session of the United States Congress, the first Supreme Pontiff to do so. He followed that with a visit to St. Patrick's Church, the oldest parish church in Washington. The church was founded in 1794.[54] He also visited the Washington, D.C. local Catholic Charities office. He then flew from Washington, to New York City. After arriving at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport, he took part with New York's Cardinal Timothy Dolan in Evening Vespers (part of the Liturgy of the Hours), at St. Patrick's Cathedral.

On Friday, 25 September, Pope Francis addressed the United Nations General Assembly. It was the fifth address by a Pope to the U.N. General Assembly, following appearances by Pope Paul VI in October 1965, Pope John Paul II in October 1979 and October 1995, and Pope Benedict XVI in April 2008.

On Saturday, 26 September, Pope Francis traveled from New York to Philadelphia, where he was welcomed by city and state leaders and Philadelphia's Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. He celebrated a Papal Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. He visited Independence Mall in the afternoon, and the Festival of Families of the 2015 World Meeting of Families[55] in the early evening. The Pope's visit concluded on Sunday, 27 September, with a Papal Mass in the afternoon. After a departure ceremony, he departed on a jet for Rome and the Vatican.

Pope Condemns Religious Fundamentalism, Middle East Violence

Pope Francis strongly condemned violence in the Middle East Friday, in an interview with  the Vatican correspondent of Barcelona-based daily La Vanguardia.

Following his first visit to the Middle East as pope last month, the pontiff criticised fundamentalism in Christianity, Islam and Judaism as a form of violence.

"A fundamentalist group, even if it kills no one, even it strikes no one, is violent. The mental structure of fundamentalism is violence in the name of God."

Asked about religious violence in the Middle East, Francis, who made his first visit to the region as pope last month, said it was a "contradiction".

"Violence in God's name does not fit with our times. It is something old. With historical perspective, we have to say that we Christians, at times, have practiced it," he was quoted as saying.

"Today it is unimaginable."

The stage is being set, for all who believe the bible to be the word of God, to be persecuted by the papacy and the entire world once again. If you believe so, you are violent, whether you actually ever become violent or not. You and those like you are the cause of all the violence in the world. Never mind that you believe the word of God condemns violence in His name. If you thought the papacies war on the bible and bible believers was over, you better think again. Bible believers are her enemies.

I have been much perplexed in regard to some matters that have been presented before me concerning the condition of things in some of our institutions. I sent you a copy of letters sent to Elder Olsen. I have been shown that you also are in danger of making serious mistakes. You feel a deep interest in the circulation of the health publications, and this is right; but that special branch is not to be made all-absorbing. The health reform is as closely related to the third angel's message as the arm to the body; but the arm cannot take the place of the body. The proclamation of the third angel's message, the commandments of God, and the testimony of Jesus, is the burden of our work. The message is to be proclaimed with a loud cry and is to go to the whole world. The presentation of health principles must be united with this message, but must not be independent of it or in any way take the place of it.

I was shown that the strong presentation of the health line of work is causing it to absorb more attention than should be given to any one branch. There must be a well-balanced, symmetrical development of the work in all its parts. You, my brother, should not press workers to handle the health books as the Bible Readings was handled. Matters are now taking that phase. The glowing impressions given to the canvassers in regard to this one branch result in excluding from the field other works that must come before the people. You know I would have the health books occupy their proper place, but they are only one of many lines in the great work to be done.

Canvassers should not be taught that one book or one class of books is to occupy the field to the neglect of all others. Among the workers are always some who can be swayed in almost any direction. Those who have charge of the canvassing work should be men of well-balanced minds, who can discern the relation of each part of the work to the great whole. Let them give due attention to the circulation of health books, but not make this line so prominent as to draw men away from other lines of vital interest. It is my prayer that you may not move unadvisedly in this matter and exercise an influence that shall lead men to dishonor God by neglecting the very things essential to come before the people at this time. My brother, you are in danger of self-exaltation; I caution you to walk humbly with God. Seek wisdom from Him, that you may be guided in safe paths.

There is need of a much closer study of the Word of God. Especially should Daniel and the Revelation have attention as never before in the history of our work. We may have less to say in some lines, in regard to the Roman power and the papacy, but we should call attention to what the prophets and the apostles have written under the inspiration of the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit has so shaped matters, both in the giving of the prophecy, and in the events portrayed, as to teach that the human agent is to be kept out of sight, hid in Christ, and the Lord God of heaven and His law are to be exalted.

Read the book of Daniel. Call up, point by point, the history of the kingdoms there represented. Behold statesmen, councils, powerful armies, and see how God wrought to abase the pride of men, and lay human glory in the dust. God alone is represented as great. In the vision of the prophet He is seen casting down one mighty ruler and setting up another. He is revealed as the monarch of the universe, about to set up His everlasting kingdom—the Ancient of days, the living God, the Source of all wisdom, the Ruler of the present, the Revealer of the future. Read and understand how poor, how frail, how short-lived, how erring, how guilty, is man in lifting up his soul unto vanity.

The Holy Spirit through Isaiah points us to God, the living God, as the chief object of attention—to God as revealed in Christ. “Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” [Isaiah 9:6].
The light that Daniel received direct from God was given especially for these last days. The visions he saw by the banks of the Ulai and the Hiddekel, the great rivers of Shinar, are now in process of fulfillment, and all the events foretold will soon have come to pass.

Consider the circumstances of the Jewish nation when the prophecies of Daniel were given. The Israelites were in captivity, their temple had been destroyed, their temple service suspended. Their religion had centered in the ceremonies of the sacrificial system. They had made the outward forms all-important, while they had lost the spirit of true worship. Their services were corrupted with the traditions and practices of heathenism, and in the performance of the sacrificial rites they did not look beyond the shadow to the substance. They did not discern Christ, the true offering for the sins of men. The Lord wrought to bring the people into captivity, and to suspend the services in the temple, in order that the outward ceremonies might not become the sum total of their religion. Their principles and practices must be purged from heathenism. The ritual service ceased in order that heart service might be revived. The outward glory was removed that the spiritual might be revealed.

In the land of their captivity, as the people turned unto the Lord with repentance, He manifested Himself unto them. They lacked the outward representation of His presence; but the bright beams of the Sun of Righteousness shone into their minds and hearts. When they called unto God in their humiliation and distress, visions were given to His prophets which unfolded the events of the future—the overthrow of the oppressors of God's people, the coming of the Redeemer, and the establishment of the everlasting kingdom.

In giving the light to His people, God did not work exclusively through any one class of men. Daniel was a prince of Judah. Isaiah also was of the royal tribe. David was a shepherd boy, Amos a herdsman, Zechariah a captive from Babylon, Elisha a tiller of the soil. The Lord raised up as representative men the prophets and princes, the noble and the lowly, and by inspiration taught them truths to be given to His people.

The revealed will of God must stand forth distinct as a lamp that burneth. Those who, like yourself, are in responsible positions, we thank God can be a power for good if they are not perverted by prosperity. But in order that our work may be a success, we must cooperate with the heavenly messenger that is to lighten the whole earth with his glory. The Lord calls upon you, as upon Daniel, to enlist all your God-given powers in revealing Him to the world. The interest and effort of physicians are to be given, not to the health question alone, but to making known the truths for these last times, truths that are deciding the destiny of souls.

Daniel and his three companions had a special work to do. Although greatly honored in this work, they did not become in any way exalted. They were scholars, being skilled in secular as well as religious knowledge, but they had studied science without being corrupted. They were well-balanced because they had yielded themselves to the control of the Holy Spirit. These youth gave to God all the glory of their secular, scientific, and religious endowments. Their learning did not come by chance; they obtained knowledge by the faithful use of their powers, and God gave them skill and understanding.

True science and Bible religion are in perfect harmony. Let the students in our schools learn all they possibly can. But, as a rule, let them be educated in our own institutions. Be careful how you advise them to go to other schools, where error is taught, in order to complete their education. Do not give them the impression that greater educational advantages are to be obtained by mingling with those who do not seek wisdom from God. The great men of Babylon were willing to be benefited by the instruction that God gave through Daniel, to help the king out of his difficulty by the interpretation of his dream. But they were anxious to mix in their heathen religion with that of the Hebrews. Had Daniel and his fellows consented to such a compromise, they would, in the view of the Babylonians, have been complete as statesmen, fit to be entrusted with the affairs of the kingdom.

But the four Hebrews entered into no such arrangement. They were true to God, and God upheld them and honored them. The lesson is for us. “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”—Letter 57, 1896.

This post is a response taken from another thread. It merits a thread of its own though, and was not really on topic in that thread. So many look to the "CHURCH FATHERS", but who were they really as defined by what they taught compared to the scriptures. Please do share your thoughts.

CHAPTER 5
THE PRAISE OF UNITY

[LONGER]

For if I, in this brief space of time, have enjoyed such fellowship with your bishop — I mean not of a mere human, but of a spiritual nature — how much more do I reckon you happy, who so depend on him as the Church does on the Lord Jesus, and the Lord does on God and His Father, that so all things may agree in unity! Let no man deceive himself: if any one be not within the altar, he is deprived of the bread of God. For if the prayer of one or two possesses such power that Christ stands in the midst of them, how much more will the prayer of the bishop and of the whole Church, ascending up in harmony to God, prevail for the granting of all their petitions in Christ! He, therefore, that separates himself from such, and does not meet in the society where sacrifices are offered, and with “the Church of the first-born whose names are written in heaven,” is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, while he presents a mild outward appearance. Do ye, beloved, be careful to be subject to the bishop, and the presbyters and the deacons. For he that is subject to these is obedient to Christ, who has appointed them; but he that is disobedient to these is disobedient to Christ Jesus. And “he that obeyeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.” For he that yields not obedience to his superiors is self-confident, quarrelsome, and proud. But “God,” says [the Scripture] “resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble;” and, “The proud have greatly transgressed.” The Lord also says to the priests, “He that heareth you, heareth Me; and he that heareth Me, heareth the Father that sent Me. He that despiseth you, despiseth Me; and he that despiseth Me,
despiseth Him that sent Me.”

Let us examine the beginning of apostasies then, in the writings of this Ignatius, whom you consider a “Church Father”. He is a church Father of those who submit more to a man called the Bishop, than to the teachings of Christ and His Apostles themselves. They are simply submitting themselves to Ignatius and the Bishops whom Ignatius exalted to the position of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the above admonition. Show us from scripture please, where any of the Apostles ever admonished anyone to look upon them as they looked upon Jesus Christ Himself. This is called blasphemy. Jesus Christ was fully God, and fully man. Any sinner presuming to stand in His place at the head of the “Church” is a blasphemer, and a man if sin condoning and promoting the man of sin.

Why would anyone admonish all to submit to Bishops as unto Christ, while during their day and ever since, Bishops have disagreed and quarreled over unending contentions? It is without question in order to establish authority for themselves apart from scripture, over all who might be ignorant of the same. All such could have easily been pointed to the words of Christ Himself and the Apostles having already addressed such issues for the church. Ignatius then goes on misapplying scripture to his own ends concerning the same.

He falsely claims that Jesus told the priests “He that heareth you, heareth Me; and he that heareth Me, heareth the Father that sent Me. He that despiseth you, despiseth Me; and he that despiseth Me, despiseth Him that sent Me.” Jesus told this to the seventy disciples he sent out to preach, not priests. There were no priests at the time, save the Jewish priests who themselves rejected Jesus’ authority. Ignatius twisted this scripture in support of his own views concerning the subjugation of the “Church” to the authority of his own position. Just as he did the other scriptures he quoted.

James 4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? 2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. 5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? 6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1 Peter 5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. 5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

Ignatius use of these scriptures to exalt his own position and that of Bishops to the authority of Christ Himself is an obvious abuse of the same. He was without question one of the wolves in sheep clothing the scriptures warn us about. Those seeking followers of their own selves, rather than educating and pointing all to the scriptures through which alone all should seek to establish any authority. As will be all the more obvious from the following quotes by him as well.

CHAPTER 6
HAVE RESPECT TO THE BISHOP AS TO CHRIST HIMSELF

[LONGER]
The more, therefore, you see the bishop silent, the more do you reverence him. For we ought to receive every one whom the Master of the house sends to be over His household, as we would do Him that sent him. It is manifest, therefore, that we should look upon the bishop even as we would look upon the Lord Himself, standing, as he does, before the Lord.

More of the same. this is the mindset that eventually lead apostate “Christianity” to establish one sinner above all others in the place of Christ Himself the only sinless human being who was and is God. Blasphemy! Nor were the bishops of Igantius time or ever since unified in thought and teaching at all. Nothing has created more division within “Christianity” than this exaltation of the Bishopric itself. Countless believers submitting to one or another who themselves have never fully agreed upon anything. Then such leaders eventually appealing to or accepting the power of the state to establish their own views over those of their contemporaries. All such resulting in divisions and apostasy.

THE EPISTLE OF IGNATIUS
TO THE MAGNESIANS

CHAPTER 3 HONOR YOUR YOUTHFUL BISHOP

Now it becomes you also not to treat your bishop too familiarly on account of his youth, but to yield him all reverence, having respect to the power of God the Father, as I have known even holy presbyters do, not judging rashly, from the manifest youthful appearance [of their bishop], but as being themselves prudent in God, submitting to him, or rather not to him, but to the Father of Jesus Christ, the bishop of us all. It is therefore fitting that you should, after no hypocritical fashion, obey [your bishop], in honor of Him who has willed us [so to do], since he that does not so deceives not [by such conduct] the bishop that is visible, but seeks to mock Him that is invisible. And all such conduct has reference not to man, but to God, who knows all secrets.

CHAPTER 4 SOME WICKEDLY ACT INDEPENDENTLY OF THE BISHOP

It is fitting, then, not only to be called Christians, but to be so in reality. For it is not the being called so, but the being really so, that renders a man blessed. To those who indeed talk of the bishop, but do all things without him, will He who is the true and first Bishop, and the only High Priest by nature, declare, “Why call ye Me Lord, and do not the things which I say?” For such persons seem to me not possessed of a good conscience, but to be simply dissemblers and hypocrites.

CHAPTER 7 DO NOTHING WITHOUT THE BISHOP AND PRESBYTERS

As therefore the Lord did nothing without the Father, being united to Him, neither by Himself nor by the apostles, so neither do ye anything without the bishop and presbyters. Neither endeavor that anything appear reasonable and proper to yourselves apart; but being come together into the same place, let there be one prayer, one supplication, one mind, one hope, in love and in joy undefiled. There is one Jesus Christ, than whom nothing is more excellent. Do ye therefore all run together as into one temple of God, as to one altar, as to one Jesus Christ, who came forth from one Father, and is with and has gone to one.

CHAPTER 13 BE ESTABLISHED IN FAITH AND UNITY

Study, therefore, to be established in the doctrines of the Lord and the apostles, that so all things, whatsoever ye do, may prosper both in the flesh and spirit; in faith and love; in the Son, and in the Father, and in the Spirit; in the beginning and in the end; with your most admirable bishop, and the well-compacted spiritual crown of your presbytery, and the deacons who are according to God. Be ye subject to the bishop, and to one another, as Jesus Christ to the Father, according to the flesh, and the apostles to Christ, and to the Father, and to the Spirit; that so there may be a union both fleshly and spiritual.

THE EPISTLE OF IGNATIUS
TO THE TRALLIANS

CHAPTER 2 BE SUBJECT TO THE BISHOP, ETC

For, since ye are subject to the bishop as to Jesus Christ, ye appear to me to live not after the manner of men, but according to Jesus Christ, who died for us, in order, by believing in His death, ye may escape from death.
It is therefore necessary that, as ye indeed do, so without the bishop ye should do nothing, but should also be subject to the presbytery, as to the apostle of Jesus Christ, who is our hope, in whom, if we live, we shall [at
last] be found. It is fitting also that the deacons, as being [the ministers] of the mysteries of Jesus Christ, should in every respect be pleasing to all.

CHAPTER 3 HONOR THE DEACONS, ETC

In like manner, let all reverence the deacons as an appointment of Jesus Christ, and the bishop as Jesus Christ, who is the Son of the Father, and the presbyters as the sanhedrim of God, and assembly of the apostles.
Apart from these, there is no Church. Concerning all this, I am persuaded that ye are of the same opinion.

CHAPTER 7 THE SAME CONTINUED

If, therefore, ye also put away conceit, arrogance, disdain, and haughtiness, it will be your privilege to be inseparably united to God, for “He is nigh unto those that fear Him.” And says He, “Upon whom will I look, but upon him that is humble and quiet, and that trembles at my words?” And do ye also reverence your bishop as Christ Himself, according as the blessed apostles have enjoined you. He that is within the altar is pure, wherefore also he is obedient to the bishop and presbyters: but he that is without is one that does anything apart from the bishop, the presbyters, and the deacons. Such a person is defiled in his conscience, and is worse than an infidel. For what is the bishop but one who beyond all others possesses all power and authority, so far as it is possible for a man to possess it, who according to his ability has been made an imitator of the Christ of God? And what is the presbytery but a sacred assembly, the counselors and assessors of the bishop? And what are the deacons but imitators of the angelic powers, fulfilling a pure and blameless ministry unto him, as the holy Stephen did to the blessed James, Timothy and Linus to Paul, Anencletus and Clement to Peter? He, therefore, that will not yield obedience to such, must needs be one utterly without God, an impious man who despises Christ, and depreciates His appointments.

CHAPTER 13 CONCLUSION

Fare ye well in Jesus Christ, while ye continue subject to the bishop, as to the command [of God], and in like manner to the presbytery. And do ye, every man, love one another with an undivided heart. Let my spirit be sanctified by yours, not only now, but also when I shall attain to God. For I am as yet exposed to danger. But the Father is faithful in Jesus Christ to fulfill both mine and your petitions: in whom may ye be found unblameable.

THE EPISTLE OF IGNATIUS
TO THE PHILADELPHIANS

CHAPTER 7 I HAVE EXHORTED YOU TO UNITY

For though some would have deceived me according to the flesh, yet the Spirit, as being from God, is not deceived. For it knows both whence it comes and whither it goes, and detects the secrets [of the heart]. For, when I was among you, I cried, I spoke with a loud voice: Give heed to the bishop, and to the presbytery and deacons. Now, some suspected me of having spoken thus, as knowing beforehand the division caused by some among you. But He is my witness, for whose sake I am in bonds, that I got no intelligence from any man. But the Spirit proclaimed these words: Do nothing without the bishop; keep your bodies as the temples of God; love unity; avoid divisions; be the followers of Jesus Christ, even as He is of His Father.

THE EPISTLE OF IGNATIUS
TO THE SMYRNAEANS

CHAPTER 8 LET NOTHING BE DONE WITHOUT THE BISHOP

See that ye all follow the bishop, even as Jesus Christ does the Father, and the presbytery as ye would the apostles; and reverence the deacons, as being the institution of God. Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church. It is not lawful without the bishop either to baptize or to celebrate a love-feast; but whatsoever he shall approve of, that is also pleasing to God, so that everything that is done may be secure and valid.

CHAPTER 9 HONOR THE BISHOP

Moreover, it is in accordance with reason that we should return to soberness [of conduct], and, while yet we have opportunity, exercise repentance towards God. It is well to reverence both God and the bishop. He who honors the bishop has been honored by God; he who does anything without the knowledge of the bishop, does [in reality] serve the devil. Let all things, then, abound to you through grace, for ye are worthy. Ye have refreshed me in all things, and Jesus Christ [shall refresh] you.

CHAPTER 6 THE DUTIES OF THE CHRISTIAN FLOCK

Give ye heed to the bishop, that God also may give heed to you. My soul be for theirs that are submissive to the bishop, to the presbyters, and to the deacons, and may my portion be along with them in God! Labor together with one another; strive in company together; run together; suffer together; sleep together; and awake together, as the stewards, and associates, and servants of God.

Matt 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. 9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. 11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

The link below addresses developments at present by the EU to outlaw and remove “hate speech” from the internet. This will of course open a wide door to censorship of the same, according to the dictates of whoever ends up defining hate speech. The effects of which will no doubt be felt by all Christians and or religions which uphold certain moral standards, which others might consider offensive and or therefore hateful to them. This is not to mention the duty of the faithful to identify and expose that which they deem to be truly evil in others. It will also no doubt give greater control back to the mass media icons of the past and present which have been suffering derision and much greater scrutiny by the public directly due to greater access to information through the internet. This via exposing the agenda driven news of today passed off as real unbiased news.

The following links are addressing Obama giving away US control of the internet to the UN. Is this just coincidence, or are the two in fact related and a planned shift of control over the internet? The intent being the removal of said control out of the hands of a nation whose Constitution guarantees religious freedom and freedom of speech, into the hands of those more willing to sacrifice such for a more global and restrictive agenda? What do you think?

This censorship could further effect SDA abilities to spread the three angels messages around the world, which ability is already under incessant attack from within and without. These prophetic messages do specifically identify certain institutions and movements which have and do themselves react defensively by accusations of bigotry and hate towards those giving the message. Our leadership has already caved to this pressure as can be seen from most pulpits. The above could be an effective way to silence individuals and independent ministries as well. Make no mistake about it, the enemy will use this to silence truth.

Recently my wife asked me to write a short article for the church news letter concerning ecumenism and seeking the silence of spiritual formation. The Pastor and editors deemed the article inappropriate for a church news letter, so perhaps it is more appropriate for an SDA message board.

Testimonies for the Church Volume 9, Page 19
Called to Be Witnesses

Quote
In a special sense Seventh-day Adventists have been set in the world as watchmen and light bearers. To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world. On them is shining wonderful light from the word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import—the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels’ messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention………………………………………..

Are we to wait until the fulfillment of the prophecies of the end before we say anything concerning them? Of what value will our words be then? Shall we wait until God’s judgments fall upon the transgressor before we tell him how to avoid them? Where is our faith in the word of God? Must we see things foretold come to pass before we will believe what He has said? In clear, distinct rays light has come to us, showing us that the great day of the Lord is near at hand, “even at the doors.” Let us read and understand before it is too late.

Every SDA is familiar with our commission to give the three angels messages to this world. The words quoted from Ellen G White above are now over a century old. If SDA’s are anything like the Israel of old, or even Christianity of the new covenant, we are just as prone to backsliding and apostasy as those who have gone before us. Unfortunatley, history does not provide us many good examples of God’s people remaining true to their cause or commission over the progression of time. Considering such concerning ourselves, we might do well to examine our present state in relation to the giving of the three angels messages, and what impediments might be encroaching or cramping our efforts.

There is of course the basic human tendency to become board with what is old, to the effect of either abandoning the commission, or looking for something new and therefore more exciting to replace it. This however should not be a problem for God’s people if they are paying attention to the details of current events around them in light of the prophetic messages we embrace. The unfolding nature of historicist interpretation of biblical prophecy, keeps those who will remain informed on their toes. If we have not been able to see the amazing fulfillments of biblical prophecy transpiring before our very eyes in recent years, we simply are not looking.

Apart from our own internal tendencies, there are also serious external influences at work that could seriously effect our efforts, and could cause internal friction as well. There are several different movements under way striving for the unifiication of “Christianity”, all religions, and even all of mankind through the dynamics of globalism. All of these movements are gears in the machine of ever progressing fulfilment of biblical prophecy. Babylon the Great herself is busy orchestrating this unity, with the intention of being the Conductor of the same. In this world, unity often means compromise. While the governments of this world can and often do compromise, even rightly so, God’s kingdom and people cannot. This is one of the main reasons authentic Christianity must remain separate from the kingdoms and or political powers of this world.

The best way for different denomiations and even religions of this word to arrive at unity would be through silence, regarding devisive issues and doctrines. There is more to the spiritual formation movements which seek the silence than meets the eye. The increasing pressure of these movements towards unity within and without of the church, has and will continue to attempt to dilute or disolve our denominations prophetic and doctrinal distinctness. We are commissoned to give messages to this world which directly contradict Babylon’s call for a united humanity under her guidance. This commision encompasses the promulgation of correct biblical doctrine in rightly dividing the word of God, which culminates in an enlightened understanding of the true charecter of God. Seventh Day Adventists therefore, should be on their gaurd for any such movements or messages of such an effect coming from within our own ranks. Not to mention the ill effects of silence regarding our prophetic and doctrinal truths which we must give to the world if we are to fulfill our very purpose. The first step of apostasy is silence regarding that which God intends all should know.

The following quote from EGW is in reference to that which we have been addressing. As time progresses toward the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the significance and urgency of our messages for this world can and only will increase. It will be the exact purpose of the enemy of all souls to hinder or encumber the giving of these messages as much as he possibly can. Let us be careful not to assist him in his sinister designs.

Satan’s Wrath Against the Three Angels’ Messages.—The third angel is represented as flying in the midst of heaven, symbolizing the work of those who proclaim the first, second, and third angel’s messages; all are linked together. The evidences of the abiding, ever living truth of these grand messages that mean so much to us, that have awakened such intense opposition from the religious world, are not extinct. Satan is constantly seeking to cast his hellish shadow about these messages, so that the remnant people of God shall not clearly discern their import—their time and place—but they live, and are to exert their power upon our religious experience while time shall last....

The following quote in relation to the Roman Empire may aptly be applied to the United States today. All emphasis mine, in relation to this subject.

Quote
Fall Of The Roman Empire In The West
By Edward Gibbon

Chapter 13
Fall In The West — The Decline And Fall Of The Roman Empire by Edward Gibbon
The reign of Diocletian and his three associates, — Maximian, Galerius, and Constantius—General re-establishment of order and tranquility. —The Persian war, victory and triumph.—The new form of administration. —The abdication and retirement of Diocletian and Maximian

Increase of taxes.
The system of Diocletian was accompanied with another very material disadvantage, which cannot even at present be totally overlooked; a more expensive establishment, and consequently an increase of taxes, and the oppression of the people. Instead of a modest family of slaves and freedmen, such as had contented the simple greatness of Augustus and Trajan, three or four magnificent courts were established in the various parts of the empire, and as many Roman kings contended with each other and with the Persian monarch for the vain superiority of pomp and luxury. The number of ministers, of magistrates, of officers, and of servants, who filled the different departments of the state, was multiplied beyond the example of former times; and (if we may borrow the warm expression of a contemporary),

"when the proportion of those who received exceeded the proportion of those who contributed, the provinces were oppressed by the weight of tributes." (104)

From this period to the extinction of the empire, it would be easy to deduce an uninterrupted series of clamours and complaints.
According to his religion and situation, each writer chooses either Diocletian, or Constantine, or Valens, or Theodosius, for the object of his invectives; but they unanimously agree in representing the burden of the public impositions, and particularly the land-tax and capitation, as the intolerable and increasing grievance of their own times. From such a concurrence, an impartial historian, who is obliged to extract truth from satire, as well as from panegyric, will be inclined to divide the blame among the princes whom they accuse, and to ascribe their exactions much less to their personal vices than to the uniform system of their administration. The emperor Diocletian was indeed the author of that system; but during his reign the growing evil was confined within the bounds of modesty and discretion, and he deserves the reproach of establishing pernicious precedents, rather than of exercising actual oppression. (105) It may be added, that his revenues were managed with prudent economy; and that, after all the current expenses were discharged, there still remained in the Imperial treasury an ample provision either for judicious liberality or for any emergency of the state.

Ever increasing government involvement and oversight leads to ever increasing numbers of people enforcing the same, including of course ever increasing welfare states all of which contribute heavily to the downfall of any nation or empire. What we have is already well beyond unsustainable to the tune of trillions. The writing is on the wall.

The following article is of interest regarding the changing face of our nation. It rightly addresses what is happening, without addressing why. That is, it does not address the fact that it is has all happened, and continues to happen by design. Those who have been running our nation, are guilty of asymmetrical warfare against the United States of America. Massive legal and illegal immigration are an intricate part of the same.

Though the above is in relation to Islam with very possible and serious repercussions, it was done first, and continues to be done by the church of Rome to date. The alarm being sounded now about Islam could doubly benefit the designs of Rome, forcing those who fear an Islamic state, to prefer and choose a Catholic state instead. Which is pretty much the way our country is already headed. This is not to mention the added benefit of diversion away from the fact that the overwhelming majority of illegal immigrants entering the nation are still Roman Catholic. Who themselves belong to a religion which has political designs completely foreign to the designs of our founding fathers. Is it any wonder, that the Catholic church supports Muslim immigration, as shown on this thread?

Seventh Day Adventist Forum / Rome, Islam, and bigotry
« on: Sun Jun 26, 2016 - 13:31:34 »
Though bigotry certainly does exist, it is also a term wrongly attributed to some who simply share true negative facts of history in relation to certain institutions, religions, or races. I have been called an anti-Catholic bigot or accused of anti-Catholic bigotry several times, simply for sharing truthful negative history about Catholicism and or defending my positions against what I see as the false doctrines of said denomination. It seems now that those who may speak their mind concerning the same in relation to the religion of Islam, may also be accused of anti-Islamic bigotry. I should certainly hope that none will deny the existence of real negative history, and the important lessons to be learned and established by maintaining a knowledge of the same, simply because someone might call them a bigot for speaking the truth. Nor should any I hope renounce real convictions concerning religious truth, because someone might accuse them of being a bigot for believing and expressing perceived dangers in certain doctrines of other religions. Those who will deny history and the right to express religious convictions are doomed to repeat the negative history which so many speak of.

Roman Catholicism and Islam are both religions with histories filled with violence and bloodshed. The following internet sites are articles in relation to both of these religions and their common use of the term bigotry in relation to those who do not agree with them or would speak out against them on certain points. Again, I do not propose that real bigotry does not exist, but see a clear danger in allowing real constructive criticism of the negative aspects of this or that religion upon society, being labeled as bigotry which should not be tolerated. There are real dangers from all religions that would force their religious and or political views upon others. If all talk of such dangers ever becomes commonly accepted as religious bigotry, then we have a major problem on our hands. I would much rather defend my faith with the truth, than stifle the free accusations of another against it with derogatory references to them being a bigot, or God forbid, political action concerning the same against them. In my opinion, all such is a cowardly attempt to defend that which cannot be defended by the truth. Get off your lazy butt, and defend what you believe with the truth, don't deny others the right to disagree with you, or demonize anyone who would. If this is the only way your God or religion can be defended, then perhaps you need to re-examine your faith.

The following account from George Bancroft’s History of the United States Vol. 1, reveals a major difference between the complacency of modern day citizens of this nation, and the active will of our founding fathers.

CHAP. 16
THE OVERTHROW OF THE CHARTER OF MASSACHUSETTS

Nor was Mason successful in establishing his claims to the soil. The colonial government protected the colonists, and restrained his exactions. Hastening to England to solicit a change, the pretended proprietary was allowed to make such arrangement as promised auspicious results to his own interests. Mason, himself a party in suits to be commenced, was authorized to select the person to be appointed governor. He found a fit agent in Edward Cranfield, a man who had no object in banishing himself to the wilds of America but to wrest a fortune from the sawyers and lumber-dealers of New Hampshire. By a deed enrolled in chancery, Mason surrendered to the king one fifth part of all quit-rents for the support of the governor, to whom he gave a mortgage of the whole province for twenty-one years, as collateral security for the payment of his salary. With the further exclusive right to the anticipated harvest of fines and forfeitures, Cranfield deemed his fortune secure, and, relinquishing a profitable employment in England, embarked for the banks of the Piscataqua.
But the first assembly which he convened dispelled his golden visions. The “rugged” legislators voted him a gratuity of two hundred and fifty pounds, which the needy adventurer greedily accepted; but they would not yield their liberties; and in anger he dissolved them. The dissolution of an assembly was; in New England, till then unheard of. Popular discontent became extreme; and a crowd of rash men raised the cry for “liberty and reformation.” The leader Edward Gove, an unlettered enthusiast, was confined in irons, condemned to the death that barbarous laws denounced against treason, and, having been transported to England, was for three years kept a prisoner in the Tower of London. The lawsuits about land were multiplied. Packed juries and partial judges settled questions rapidly; but Mason derived no benefit from the decision in his favor, for he could neither get possession of the estates nor find a purchaser.
Meantime, Cranfield, with a subservient council, began to exercise powers of legislation; and he still hoped to amass a fortune by taxes and arbitrary fees of office. Did the towns privately send an agent to England, he would tolerate no complaints; and Vaughan, who had been active in obtaining depositions, was required to find securities for good behavior. He refused, declaring that he had broken no law; and the governor immediately imprisoned him.
Cranfield still longed for money; stooping to falsehood, and hastily calling an assembly, on a vague rumor of an invasion, he demanded a sudden supply of the means of defense. The representatives of New Hampshire took time to consider; and; after debate, they negatived the bill which the governor had prepared.
To intimidate the clergy, he forbade the usual exercise of church discipline. In Portsmouth, Moody, the minister, replied to his threats by a sermon, and the church was inflexible. Oranfield next invoked the ecclesiastical laws of England, which he asserted were in force in the colony. the people were ordered to keep Christmas as a festival, and to fast on the thirtieth of January. But the capitol stroke of policy was an order that all persons should be admitted to the Lord’s Supper as freely as in the Episcopal or Lutheran Church, and that the English liturgy should in certain cases be adopted. The order was disregarded. The governor himself appointed a day, on which he claimed to receive the elements at the hand of Moody, after the forms of the English church. Moody refused; was prosecuted, condemned, and imprisoned. Religious worship was almost entirely broken up. But the people did not yield; and Cranfield, vexed at the stubbornness of the clergy, gave information in England that,”while the clergy were allowed to preach, no true allegiance could be found.” It had long been evident “there could be no quiet till the factious preachers were turned out of the province.’
One more attempt was made to impose taxes by the vote of the subservient council. that the people might willingly pay them, a rumor of a war with the eastern Indians was spread abroad; and Cranfield made a visit to New York, under presence of concerting measures with the governor of that province. The English ministry was informed that his majesty’s service required the presence of a ship-of-war. The committee of plantations had been warned that,”without some visible force to keep the people of New Hampshire under, it would be a difficult or impossible thing to execute his majesty’s commands or laws of trade.” But the yeomanry were not terrified; illegal taxes could not be gathered; associations were formed for mutual support in resisting their collection. At Exeter, the sheriff was driven off with clubs, and the farmers’ wives had prepared hot water to scald his officer, if he had attempted to attach property in the house. At Hampton, he was beaten, robbed of his sword, seated upon a horse, with a rope round his neck, and conveyed out of the province. If rioters were committed, they were rescued by a new riot; if the troop horse of the militia were ordered out, not a man obeyed the summons.
Cranfield, in despair, wrote imploring to the government in England: “I shall esteem it the greatest happiness in the world to be allowed to remove from these unreasonable people. they cavil at the royal commission, and not at my person. No one will be accepted by them, who puts the king’s commands in execution.” His conduct met with approbation; he was allowed to withdraw from the province; but the government in England had no design of ameliorating the political condition of the colonists. The character of New Hampshire, as displayed in this struggle for freedom, remained unchanged. It was ever esteemed in England ‘factious in its economy, affording no exemplary precedents” to the friends of arbitrary power.

The article containing the following quote may be found at the above internet page. It is common knowledge that the Church of Rome once censored all within the grasp of power with penalties including death, for those who would dare criticize or speak against her. It is not such common knowledge that as her political power increases within this and other nations, she is once again pursuing this same course. What will be the result, as her power and influence continue to grow?

METHODS OF THE LEAGUE -

Donohue has cited many of the methods used by the League, including some we have already mentioned. "We specialize in public embarrassment of public figures who have earned our wrath and that is why we are able to win so many battles: no person or organization wants to be publicly embarrassed, and that is why we specialize in doing exactly that..."260pp20 Elsewhere he writes, "The threat of a lawsuit is the only language that some people understand. The specter of public humiliation is another weapon that must be used. Petitions and boycotts are helpful. The use of the bully pulpit -- via the airwaves -- is a most effective strategy. Press conferences can be used to enlighten or, alternatively, to embarrass."260pp21 "Ads taken out in prominent national newspapers are quite effective.”260pp22

The Catholic League's Op-Ed page advertisement which appeared in the April 10, 1995 issue of The New York Times attacking Disney for its release of the excellent film, "Priest," is a good example. This attack will be described more fully later. But on the Op-Ed page the following advertisement appears: "We're leading a nationwide charge against Disney, making use of every legal means available -- from boycotts to stockholder revolts -- all designed to send a clear and unmistakable message to Michael Eisner, chairman of Disney."260pp23 This is only one of many staged or threatened stockholder revolts led by the League.

But probably the most effective means of suppressing criticism of the Catholic Church through the press is a constant "in your face" attack of local newspapers. In a 1995 report on the Massachusetts Chapter of the Catholic League, it is noted that the president and the executive director had been on the attack, "appearing in the media more than 600 times" in the previous five years.260pp24 In a single state, 600 times in five years! It is no wonder that newspapers in Massachusetts are very reluctant to print any criticism of the Catholic Church, no matter how justified, given this constant barrage of punishment.

Intimidation of the media leadership and of our government by the League is achieved through the wide distribution of frequent news releases, its monthly newsletter and an annual report. In an article on the publication of its 1994 report, Donohue writes, "The purpose of the report is to educate the public and influence decision-makers in government, education and the media....The report is being distributed to all members of Congress, the White House...and to prominent members of the media and education."260pp25 From an article regarding the 1995 annual report: "It has been sent to every Bishop and congressman in the nation, as well as to influential persons in the media and other sectors of society."260pp26 In a February 1995 letter to the membership, Donohue announced that the 1994 report will be distributed to the press, noting "there will be little excuse left for media ignorance of Catholic-bashing."260pp27 Individual attacks are often announced through widely distributed press releases which are bound to capture the attention of members of the press.

Seventh Day Adventist Forum / Immigration over conversion
« on: Sat May 28, 2016 - 19:09:51 »
One proved method of Romanizing states and countries without conversions as the primary source, is through massive immigration. This method of course is greatly assisted by and somewhat dependent upon said religion being carried on more by tradition than conversions. That is a membership which people are simply born into rather than born again into. Thus the children of all members are members as well by birth. It is helpful of course for this type of religion to represent all attempts at birth control as sin, since said religion is dependent upon new borns to replenish the ranks. There have been several massive immigrations of Roman Catholics to this nation since its inception, and this is still going on. All of course encouraged and even facilitated by the Roman Catholic church. The following article is just more of the latest concerning the south.

Seventh Day Adventist Forum / The Two Great Errors
« on: Sat May 28, 2016 - 10:31:05 »
All emphasis in the following quotes is mine.

THE GREAT CONTROVERSY 1888, PAGES 588 & 599

Through the two great errors, the immortality of the soul, and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions. While the former lays the foundation of Spiritualism, the latter creates a bond of sympathy with Rome. The Protestants of the United States will be foremost in stretching their hands across the gulf to grasp the hand of Spiritualism; they will reach over the abyss to clasp hands with the Roman power; and under the influence of this threefold union, this country will follow in the steps of Rome in trampling on the rights of conscience.

As Spiritualism more closely imitates the nominal Christianity of the day, it has greater power to deceive and ensnare. Satan himself is converted, after the modern order of things. He will appear in the character of an angel of light. Through the agency of Spiritualism, miracles will be wrought, the sick will be healed, and many undeniable wonders will be performed. And as the spirits will profess faith in the Bible, and manifest respect for the institutions of the church, their work will be accepted as a manifestation of divine power.

The line of distinction between professed Christians and the ungodly is now hardly distinguishable. Church-members love what the world loves, and are ready to join with them; and Satan determines to unite them in one body, and thus strengthen his cause by sweeping all into the ranks of Spiritualism. Papists, who boast of miracles as a certain sign of the true church, will be readily deceived by this wonder-working power; and Protestants, having cast away the shield of truth, will also be deluded. Papists, Protestants, and worldlings will alike accept the form of godliness without the power, and they will see in this union a grand movement for the conversion of the world, and the ushering in of the long-expected millennium. (THE GREAT CONTROVERSY 1888, PAGES 588 & 599)

Excerpts from - ENCYCLICAL LETTER
LAUDATO SI’
OF THE HOLY FATHER
FRANCIS
ON CARE FOR OUR COMMON HOME

237. On Sunday, our participation in the Eucharist has special importance. Sunday, like the Jewish Sabbath, is meant to be a day which heals our relationships with God, with ourselves, with others and with the world. Sunday is the day of the Resurrection, the “first day” of the new creation, whose first fruits are the Lord’s risen humanity, the pledge of the final transfiguration of all created reality. It also proclaims “man’s eternal rest in God”.[168] In this way, Christian spirituality incorporates the value of relaxation and festivity. We tend to demean contemplative rest as something unproductive and unnecessary, but this is to do away with the very thing which is most important about work: its meaning. We are called to include in our work a dimension of receptivity and gratuity, which is quite different from mere inactivity. Rather, it is another way of working, which forms part of our very essence. It protects human action from becoming empty activism; it also prevents that unfettered greed and sense of isolation which make us seek personal gain to the detriment of all else. The law of weekly rest forbade work on the seventh day, “so that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your maidservant, and the stranger, may be refreshed” (Ex 23:12). Rest opens our eyes to the larger picture and gives us renewed sensitivity to the rights of others. And so the day of rest, centred on the Eucharist, sheds it light on the whole week, and motivates us to greater concern for nature and the poor.

VIII. QUEEN OF ALL CREATION

241. Mary, the Mother who cared for Jesus, now cares with maternal affection and pain for this wounded world. Just as her pierced heart mourned the death of Jesus, so now she grieves for the sufferings of the crucified poor and for the creatures of this world laid waste by human power. Completely transfigured, she now lives with Jesus, and all creatures sing of her fairness. She is the Woman, “clothed in the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars” (Rev 12:1). Carried up into heaven, she is the Mother and Queen of all creation. In her glorified body, together with the Risen Christ, part of creation has reached the fullness of its beauty. She treasures the entire life of Jesus in her heart (cf. Lk 2:19,51), and now understands the meaning of all things. Hence, we can ask her to enable us to look at this world with eyes of wisdom.

242. At her side in the Holy Family of Nazareth, stands the figure of Saint Joseph. Through his work and generous presence, he cared for and defended Mary and Jesus, delivering them from the violence of the unjust by bringing them to Egypt. The Gospel presents Joseph as a just man, hard-working and strong. But he also shows great tenderness, which is not a mark of the weak but of those who are genuinely strong, fully aware of reality and ready to love and serve in humility. That is why he was proclaimed custodian of the universal Church. He too can teach us how to show care; he can inspire us to work with generosity and tenderness in protecting this world which God has entrusted to us.

CARITAS IN VERITATE
OF THE SUPREME PONTIFF
BENEDICT XVI
TO THE BISHOPS
PRIESTS AND DEACONS
MEN AND WOMEN RELIGIOUS
THE LAY FAITHFUL
AND ALL PEOPLE OF GOOD WILL
ON INTEGRAL HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
IN CHARITY AND TRUTH

Man's earthly activity, when inspired and sustained by charity, contributes to the building of the universal city of God, which is the goal of the history of the human family. In an increasingly globalized society, the common good and the effort to obtain it cannot fail to assume the dimensions of the whole human family, that is to say, the community of peoples and nations, in such a way as to shape the earthly city in unity and peace, rendering it to some degree an anticipation and a prefiguration of the undivided city of God.

His was certainly a social teaching of great importance: he underlined the indispensable importance of the Gospel for building a society according to freedom and justice, in the ideal and historical perspective of a civilization animated by love. Paul VI clearly understood that the social question had become worldwide  and he grasped the interconnection between the impetus towards the unification of humanity and the Christian ideal of a single family of peoples in solidarity and fraternity.

, but only on Christ, to whom every authentic vocation to integral human development must be directed. The Gospel is fundamental for development, because in the Gospel, Christ, “in the very revelation of the mystery of the Father and of his love, fully reveals humanity to itself”. Taught by her Lord, the Church examines the signs of the times and interprets them, offering the world “what she possesses as her characteristic attribute: a global vision of man and of the human race”

I thought it was interesting. Obama and trumps symbols are exactly the same just inverted. They are two sides of the same coin. This is our present political system. Just the two, democrat or republican, no difference since they are both controlled and manipulated by the same power. Let them disagree and argue about contrived points to create the appearance and effect of having to make a choice, and then implement the desired effect through which ever prevails. Create the opposite extremes, making sure some of your own extremes exist within either party, and then implement the same when either or wins. It's not that complicated really. Nor is it anything new at all. Wake up America, we need at least three parties or many independents.

Excerpts from - Pope Francis’ Address to Congress
(My comments in blue)
Mr. Vice-President,

Mr. Speaker,
Honorable Members of Congress,
Dear Friends,

I am most grateful for your invitation to address this Joint Session of Congress in “the land of the free and the home of the brave”. I would like to think that the reason for this is that I too am a son of this great continent, from which we have all received so much and toward which we share a common responsibility.

The Pope is not a son of this nation. He is the leader of a foreign nation. One that amalgamates church and state beyond the ability to untangle the two in direct opposition to the vision of the founding fathers if this nation. The leader of an institution which has been found to be at odds with this nation many times over, especially through its political allegiances with foreign nations harboring ill intent towards us, or straight up at war with us. An institution which has not grown in our nation so much by way of conversions or the choice of people, but rather by way of massive immigrations of those born into their faith, not of their faith by conversion or choice. Which immigrating, especially of her own adherents she still continues to facilitate as much as possible, regardless of the financial and political effects of the same.

Each son or daughter of a given country has a mission, a personal and social responsibility. Your own responsibility as members of Congress is to enable this country, by your legislative activity, to grow as a nation. You are the face of its people, their representatives. You are called to defend and preserve the dignity of your fellow citizens in the tireless and demanding pursuit of the common good, for this is the chief aim of all politics. A political society endures when it seeks, as a vocation, to satisfy common needs by stimulating the growth of all its members, especially those in situations of greater vulnerability or risk. Legislative activity is always based on care for the people. To this you have been invited, called and convened by those who elected you.

The elected officials of this nation are the representatives of the citizens of the same. Their purpose and vocation is to do just that according to the will of the people as those people define, not as the Pope of Rome defines. There job is to ensure the common good of this nation, according to and as defined by its people, not the Pope of Rome according to his own globalist agenda. Our wealth, talents, natural resources, and citizen makeup, are to be determined and put to use as the citizens of this nation see fit. Not as the Pope of Rome sees fit.

Our wealth, talents, and natural resources are not to be redistributed as his institution sees fit according to their social doctrine of redistributive justice against the will or without the consent of our people. Which he and his accomplish in this and various other nations through the large number of politicians belonging to his religious nation state, within those very nations. Draining these nations of all the same, for his own globalist agenda. I did not make him lord of my nation or myself, have you?

Nor should the citizenship of this nation end up being composed of those who Rome herself chooses according to massive immigrating which she herself supports and facilitates with the cooperation of the politicians of our nation which are members of her religious nation state also. What is this, but the herding of people themselves according to her globalist vision by way of her redistributive justice. Bypassing the will or even knowledge of the people of this nation through crafty deceit. Nor is any of this anything new. Let the American people reeducate themselves concerning the writings of the Protestant Reformers and their complaints against Rome concerning much of the same during their own day.

Yours is a work which makes me reflect in two ways on the figure of Moses. On the one hand, the patriarch and lawgiver of the people of Israel symbolizes the need of peoples to keep alive their sense of unity by means of just legislation. On the other, the figure of Moses leads us directly to God and thus to the transcendent dignity of the human being. Moses provides us with a good synthesis of your work: you are asked to protect, by means of the law, the image and likeness fashioned by God on every human face.

Moses was chosen by God Himself as the leader of the old covenant theocracy of Israel. He was the religious and civil authority of that entire nation as God Himself dictated to him. The representatives of this nation were never chosen to be such, and such a notion is in direct contradiction to the founding fathers of this nation, and the matured Protestant principles of government established by them, in accordance with the will of the peoples of this nation.

What is the above statement, but an attempt to undo all that the freedoms and liberties which came along with maturation of Protestant and biblical principles of government for the people and by the people? The Pope himself claims the position of Moses for this new covenant era, as the spokesman for God to this entire world. If our representatives are to follow this outline of their responsibilities it would certainly mean submission to the Pope of Rome in all religious and political matters. This for the very large number of Catholic politicians inhabiting our federal government at present, at least. Was it not these very politicians who invited the Pope to come and political address and advise them to begin with? Yes, it was. Wake up America!

A Mexican state's despised Protestants gain

by Marion Lloyd ("Boston Globe," July 21, 2002)
SAN JUAN CHAMULA, Mexico - On a recent Sunday morning, several dozen Mayan farmers packed the newly inaugurated Prince of Peace church, where a Protestant pastor discussed the importance of good works in the local Tzotzil language.

There was little remarkable about the service, except that it was being held in San Juan Chamula, a community as famous for its religious intolerance as its unusual blend of Roman Catholicism and ancient Mayan rituals.

Catholic Forum / Prayer to the dead
« on: Sat Aug 29, 2015 - 15:00:02 »
In the past, many Catholics on these boards have argued that Catholics do not pray to the dead saints, but rather ask for their intercession with God, or for them to pray to God for them. Is the Pope unaware of this belief? Quotes from the follwing article seem to suggest he is.

http://wwrn.org/articles/44945/

Emphasis in the following quotes is mine.

Quote
Naples, Italy — The faithful here are still talking about Pope Francis and the holy blood.

On an official trip to this ancient city in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius, Pope Francis entered the local cathedral to pray to Januarius, the patron saint of Naples. Januarius’s 1,700-year-old dried blood is known to “spontaneously liquefy,” a phenomenon seen by true believers as a miraculous sign from above. Those gathered anxiously watched as Francis prayed before, then kissed, the ornate silver and glass reliquary containing the coagulated clot.

And lo and behold, the dark stain dissolved.

The cardinal of Naples, standing beside Francis, joyously heralded the sacred melting, bringing a round of gasps and applause. Then Francis himself acknowledged the mystery, in which the blood had only half liquefied. “It means the saint loves us halfway,” Francis said, according to accounts of those present that day five months ago. “We must all spread the word of God more, so that he loves us even more."

The incident in Naples, where Francis caused a stir with the blood of Saint Januarius, marked only one in a long list of recent papal devotions to relics and other mysterious artifacts. In June, for instance, the pope “venerated” the Shroud of Turin, praying before the cloth believed by some to be the burial garment of Jesus Christ despite disputed tests that have carbon-dated it to centuries after the crucifixion.

Coinciding with the pope’s U.S. visit, the body of Saint Maria Goretti — an 11-year-old Italian girl stabbed to death in 1902 by a family friend — will also travel to the United States on a multi-city tour. In Nettuno, Italy, her sanctuary is filled with mementos of gratitude — wedding dresses, rosaries and statues — from those who claim to have been cured of ailments after praying to her.

“The pope is clearly well inclined toward this kind of worship,” said the Rev. Giovanni Alberti, abbot of Goretti’s sanctuary. “He is from South America, where there is a strong sensibility of popular devotion.”

Seventh Day Adventist Forum / Bible vs. SDA

Since an anti-SDA internet site has been provided for examination, I thought it well to do just that, with response from an actual SDA for accuracy of the articles or not. As time affords we will examine all the accusations of the site provided. Bold and underlined emphasis of the articles in question will be mine, and my comments concerning the same will be blue. The articles themselves may be found at -

http://www.nonsda.org/study1.shtml

The Three Angels' messages of Revelation 14 are highly significant to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. In the SDA Church's official mission statement, the Three Angels' Messages are prominent:

The mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is to proclaim to all peoples the everlasting gospel in the context of the Three Angels' messages of Revelation 14:6-12.1

At first glance, this almost sounds like a typical mission statement for any Christian denomination: "to proclaim to all peoples the everlasting gospel." That sounds very good. But then we have this unusual addition: "in the context of the Three Angels' messages". What does that mean? Those are "code words" which only those familiar with the SDA denomination would understand.

They are not code words, and are self-explanatory. The faulty premise has been set, and now the article will define for you that which it determines concerning the faulty premise which it has already put in place. The context of the three angels messages is of course found in the scriptures themselves. The messages are found in Revelation chapter 14, and precede the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to reap the harvests of this world. The context then of course, are messages given to this world shortly before Christ returns and this world ends.

The "context of the Three Angels' messages" places an entirely different spin on the gospel message.

Here is what the SDA Church teaches about the Three Angels' Messages:

Again, the context of the three angels messages is found in Revelation 14. What SDA’s teach concerning the message of those angels, is not the context of the scriptures where the angels give these messages.

1. The first angel's message was proclaimed in 1843/1844 through those who were announcing the imminent return of Jesus. Ellen White, Seventh-day Adventism's prophet, wrote:

Prophecy was fulfilled in the first and second angels' messages. They were given at the right time and accomplished the work which God designed to accomplish by them.

Thousands were led to embrace the truth preached by Wm. Miller, and servants of God were raised up in the spirit and power of Elijah to proclaim the message. ... And as the Spirit of God rested upon them, they helped to sound the cry, Fear God, and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment is come.

It should be understood by all, that there was no SDA church until 1863. None of the events described above are concerning SDA’s, since they did not exist yet. William Miller was a Baptist preacher, and the many thousands involved with the described movement above were from many and various denominations.

Though the SDA denomination includes the message of William Miller and the movement involved in the giving of the first angel’s message, this was not the end of the giving of that message, but rather the beginning. The SDA church teaches that all of the three angles messages will continue to be given to the world with increasing urgency and significance until the return of Christ. The Millerite movement began a process which is to continue to the end, with greater refinement, enlargement, and enlightenment as time continues according to the unfolding nature of classical historicist interpretation of biblical prophecy itself.

The SDA Church traces its origins to the preaching of William Miller, a farmer-turned-preacher who pieced together various Bible texts to determine the time of Christ's return. Miller and his associates went around the Northeastern United States warning people of Christ's imminent return, gathering perhaps 50,000 followers. After Christ failed to return as predicted on October 22, 1844, William Miller admitted he was wrong and most of his followers returned to their old churches. However, some groups of "Adventists" refused to return, and instead sought to find meaning in the failure. One of these groups later developed into the SDA Church.

This article traces SDA origin to the preaching of William Miller, SDA’s do not. While we freely admit of his influence, we also freely admit of his mistakes. He was wrong about Christ returning in 1844, and so were all who followed him, including any who eventually became SDA’s. One of the foundational teachings of the SDA church is that no man knows the day or hour of Christ’s return, for the exact reason of Miller’s mistake in disregarding scripture itself which states the same(Mt 24:36). Apart from this, Miller never accepted other views which eventually became part of the SDA denomination.

SDA’s of course believe that the bible is the origin if their faith, and its understanding under the enlightened influence of the Holy Spirit of God. Most of what we believe, has been believed by countless Christians before us.

Initially, the Adventists thought the "judgment" of Revelation 14:6 referred to be the judgment of God upon the wicked. However, they eventually adopted a different stance, saying the "judgment" was a judgment of the righteous, not the wicked. To accomodate this new view, the SDA Church changed the meaning of the first angel's message to something entirely different. In her book Great Controversy prophetess Ellen White writes:

...the first angel's message, "Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come," pointed to Christ's ministration in the most holy place, to the investigative judgment, and not to the coming of Christ for the redemption of His people and the destruction of the wicked.4

The twisted information above is more faulty info built upon the faulty premise laid at the beginning of the article under examination. It must be remembered, that there was no SDA church bringing the above beliefs about, but rather the SDA church came about as a result of the investigation relating to the above and many other biblical passages. The SDA church could not accommodate any view, or change the meaning of anything before it ever existed. The Church came about as the result of developed doctrine in relation to the above and more.

Nor is the information above accurate. God judges the wicked and the righteous. No one will escape His judgement. When He returns He will bring His reward with Him, salvation to the saved, and damnation to the unsaved, or wicked if you will. This is a no brainer. William Miller believed the cleansing of the sanctuary mentioned in the book of Daniel was the destruction of this earth by fire at the Lord’s return, which would have obviously meant that judgment was over. He was wrong. SDA’s believe the cleansing of the sanctuary mentioned in Daniel, is the beginning of the final stage of judgment before God returns. This judgment is in relation to the authenticity or not, of those who profess Christ. They are the only ones with whom there can be any question, the rest are outside any need of investigation, having already rejected the only hope of their salvation.

The SDA church did not develop these beliefs, they are the result of that development through the prayerful study of the scriptures, by peoples from many different denominations. We did not and have not developed the context of the first angels message, or that of the others either. That context is given by the scriptures themselves, we have only developed our view of what the three angels messages are. Scripture itself dictates that the messages are given right before Christ returns to reap the harvests of this world. So much for point number one. When time provides I will address point number two.

Seventh Day Adventist Forum / Pope and Lincoln
« on: Tue Aug 11, 2015 - 19:13:46 »
When the Pope visits the U.S., he will speak from behind the exact lectern used by Abraham Lincoln when he gave the Gettysburg Address. Many throughout history and even today are still convinced that the Roman Catholic church was behind Lincoln's assassination, and not without good reason. Does anyone see any significance in the first Jesuit pope, standing right where Lincoln did to now give his speech to the American people? Speaking now to a nation with countless millions of more Catholics in it due to massive immigrations, than there was in Lincoln's day? Coupled also with the fact that our federal government is now inhabited by a catholic majority in all three branches? Is this not a statement?

When Muslims blew up the twin towers in New York, and then wanted to build a Mosque near the location, people knew what that meant. If in fact Rome assassinated Lincoln, and now a Jesuit pope will speak from the lectern of Lincolns most famous speech to the American people, does this not signify something?

Some interesting articles concerning the upcoming elections and Catholicism.

http://www.nationaljournal.com/2016-elections/pope-francis-climate-change-catholic-Republican-candidates-20150618

Quote
"I believe," said Kennedy, "in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute; where no Catholic prelate would tell the president—should he be Catholic—how to act, and no Protestant minister would tell his parishioners for whom to vote; where no church or church school is granted any public funds or political preference; and where no man is denied public office merely because his religion differs from the president who might appoint him, or the people who might elect him."
He added, "I believe in an America ... where no public official either requests of accepts instructions on public policy from the Pope ..." And, later, he said, "I am not the Catholic candidate for president. I am the Democratic Party's candidate for president who happens also to be a Catholic. I do not speak for my church on public matters and the church does not speak for me."

Today's Catholic politicians invited the Pope to officially address, and therefore also advise the entire federal government, so what do you think has changed?
