OK. When I was single I flirted.

I prided myself on my many styles & manners of which I plied my flirts.

I seen many others do the same things when attracting the opposite sex. Some were rather clumsy & obvious but cute at the same time. Others were really super subtle, sinking in hours later.

Soooo

What is your favorite flirting technique?

fassopony

I don't think I have a flirting technique.

Your wife made a comment on the other thread, was I talking to the guy like a pal or showing definite interest....umm...well, I don't think I flirt like that LOL!!!

Maybe you flirty-poos should start a class for us non-flirts. ::shrug::

chosenone

No I never flirted either, not my scene.
Must admit that if you are single and flirting with another who is single(as you are talking about here John), then I cant see much harm, but if a married person flirts with a person who they aren't married to(which happens a lot) then I hate that with a passion.

My husband and I went on a Christian teaching and renewal event which lasted 5 days. A single lady there in her 30's flirted with a few of the men, being very touchy feely etc, (including my husband), and mainly ignored the wives. My poor husband didn't know how to deal with her, but eventually did speak to her about it, asking her if she realised what she was doing. She said yes, but did it because she had problems with her relationship with her dad. Is that an excuse? I had problems with my dad and I don't go round flirting. It ruined the time for me completely and I was VERY wary of her and didn't trust her at all. Sad at a Christian event in particular.

I am not discussing that sort of thing at all Chosenone.

It wasn't even on my radar screen and didn't come to mind at all.

I was referring to when I WAS single...not now...I AM MARRIED. and happily so.

Yes I knew that John, but just thought I would widen the topic a bit. Maybe some are far better at it? Maybe it depends on your personality? My husband would be useless at flirting, he wouldnt know where to start, which I think is sort of sweet actually.   ::kissing::

IamStefanie

My flirting technique is to slap a guy on his butt and give him a smile.  ::clappingoverhead:: Just kidding. I don't think I'm much of a flirt. Ok, I lied! LOL . If a man and I are attracted to each other, we'll talk and smile. If the conversation is good, keep going. if not, move on. I think I flirt with my eyes. But I don't do it on purpose. I'm a single woman, what can I say  ::help::

JohnDB

Smiling & blinking?  Ok. Got it.

Supplanter

I was an ironic flirt. I still am. I still flirt with my husband (hehe). John calls it the completely obvious flirt. But basically I purposely make really obvious, dorky flirtatious comments because I think it is funny.

JohnDB

Well,

Let me say that Supplanter has a unique flirting style. LOL

Its "special"...oh wait...the new word is "exceptional" (short bus rider time)

She says that I just don't understand her flirting style. (I don't think anyone but she does)

It finally dawned on me that she might be flirting with me when engaged in a bible discussion she mentioned Isaiah walking around naked for three years.  ::shrug::

Oh well...we are married today.  ::amen!:: ::clappingoverhead::

ILUM honey.

IamStefanie

Smile, you two are cute. I think the two of you are flirting now  ::blushing::

Seeing people flirt has always angered me.
I have never flirted and have yelled at women who flirted with me when I was aware of it. Often I am unaware of it if it is not an in-your-face flirt.

Yes me too, especially if one or both are either married or in a relationship with someone else. Its not innocent, and there is no excuse.  I find it sad that anyone thinks they should be trained/taught to flirt. We dont need to do that to meet the person who God has for us.

My distaste goes way beyond that.  Spiritual truth or morality (while important) have little to do with it.

I hated it in jr high as much as I do now.  Seeing guys and girls flirt in jr high and high school sometimes would physically nauseate me.
