How to Post a YouTube Video

If you'd like to post a YouTube video here, there's a way to do it so that the video shows right here without visitors having to go to another site to play it.

Here's how:

YouTube video URLs usually look something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCMaOyeR9hM

In order to post a video on our forums, simply put the URL between brackets like this:

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCMaOyeR9hM[/youtube]

You should then see your video in a player like the following:

[youtube=425,350]pCMaOyeR9hM[/youtube]

It did not work using my own keys, So I just copied your own and that worked fine. The vid above comes from the same list yours was on. I subscribed to the channel too. Thanks for this and God bless

I usually just copy what's after the equal sign in the youtube url and paste that between the brackets

yes, I found that out yesterday while making several atempts to post a funny vid on the games forum. So now I know

Did you post the url with {youtube] and [/youtube] surrounding it? It doesn't seem to work when I use the new url that YouTube gives me. I have to use the link that I copy from the browser at the top of the page I am viewing the video on.

Maybe you can try that. I always have success with it.

Sometimes it is the video itself that won't post.

I have been doing this for a while and sometimes a video simply won't embed itself into the thread...for whatever reason.

sooo...just post the link and one of us mods might try to fix it...if it can be fixed.
